Even though I made it clear I wanted the cheapest items, the employee who assisted me, Anthony, treated me with great respect and sincerely tried his best to find the best fitting and looking clothes possible. The items recommended looked fantastic and I got a huge bargain. Anthony gave me many tips including selecting ties during the process. The manager was also friendly and helpful in assisting. The staff do not communicate with you at all after you order the suit. Terrible communication and no updates on the order. We have had issued twice now with a wedding suit - first, no one ever called us to tell us the suit jacket arrived and to come for the fitting even though when we bought the suit they told us to only come in after the call. When I told the staff I never got a call, they got combative and insisted they did. Then today we arrived to pick up the tailored suit since it was to be ready by 4pm. At 4:30pm in the store we were told it had not even been started yet and to come back tomorrow. Why did no one think to call us today when it was clear it was not ready? The customer service was more of a relentless belittling. I have never been into a store and had someone treat me so rudely from the instant I stepped in until I gave up and left. They couldn't seem to speak to me with anything but snide remarks, sarcasm and dismissive commentary. Between constant eye rolls, not bothering to measure me, a series of blazers that weren't even close to fitting, handing me a blazer that was missing a button, etc., it was quite clear that I was just a barrier between this employee and the store closing in a couple hours. It wasn't even that busy. As someone who doesn't buy formal clothing very often, it's already a somewhat intimidating process for me. This was such a miserable experience to feel so publicly shamed and patronized. Spend the extra money and walk a couple blocks to Nordstrom instead. The service is really bad. Last time I went to the store, I bought a pair of black pants and a white t-shirt on the website and they sent to my address. When I was on my way home, I checked the bill and saw that they charged me for two pairs of pants instead the white shirt and after that day i only received the black pants, a few days later I received the black t-shirt and not the white t-shirt. I would highly, very highly, not recommend giving this particular location your business. Every other Men's Warehouse that I have been to has been adequate. I have a wedding in which I was a groomsman. Needed a certain suit, and there happened to be one jacket in my size available at another location. Which is not a big deal because if he could not find it, they could just have it custom made. The salesman who was helping me, bald gentlemen, sized me and fitted me for the suit. I paid for everything, and he told me he would find the jacket for me and call me about. I received no phone calls. Fast forward two months later and I came to pick everything up. He told me that he could not find the jacket which is completely understandable. So I asked about having the jacket custom made and he stated that they were out of the fabric. Offered no help or advice after and basically just told that I was out of luck. The next day I went to the Men's Wearhouse in Redmond, WA. They told me that is extremely odd that he would say that and they were able to custom make the jacket. Jacket comes in and I try everything on at the Redmond location. Turns out that the gentlemen at the Seattle store sized me for slim fit vest and loose fit pants. This looked awful. The pants were also size 34" which I've never worn before. So I had the Redmond re-tailor the pants to slim fit and my size. If I had not researched different locations, I would have been completely out of luck for my wedding. Extremely unprofessional. I will never give this location my business again and recommend that nobody else does either. read more

The commercials for this place make me want to claw out my own eyes and stab myself in the ears with a shrimp fork. That being said, I gotta say that the staff is always very attentive without being annoying. And they carry big and tall sizes. I'm married to a big, strapping, sexy beast. Most men's clothiers fail to provide decent attire for the more substantial man. The selection here is fairly decent. Not everything is attractive and some items are obviously of questionable quality. The prices are more than reasonable. They'll take care of alterations within a couple of days. Inevitably, they will try to sell me an ugly tie to go with whatever purchase I've made, so they lose points for that. read more

Walking into the downtown Seattle Men's Wearhouse was the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered. I had made an appointment to purchase a suit for a wedding. When I arrived, the sales person treated me extremely rudely and was very abrupt and dismissive. A second sales person was equally impatient and rude. They both clearly hate their jobs. I'd have given one star, but they get a star because Kim Butler is an absolute rockstar and did her best to help me when I was in. We stopped by to look for a tux rental for the upcoming event 8 months from now. The sales person seemed occupied with her other errands and when we informed her that we were looking for a tux rental and was just wondering about the style availability that they had, she just gave us a catalog and shoved us away to a different corner to look at the catalog. There was no advice, checking in to see if we had any questions, while we were left to browse their catalog. After about 10-15 minutes left on our own and once we sort of decided what may be most suitable for the event, we went back to the lady at the counter who then informed us that it was too early to even put anything in the system because his measurements may change. She then proceeded to write down the number and style on the paper for us and told us to come back later. There was no taking down our names, or putting in the system. Just a piece of paper with the number and style that she gave us. There was nothing for them to keep as records of us visiting or the products we picked for rental as well. Then it was an informal "shove us away" greeting, "congratulations, and we will see you later." to let us know there's nothing they could do While I agreed with her about potential measurement fluctuation between now and then, logging even the stock number/style number in the system or getting customer contact information/ date intended for use/rental would help prevent the problem of customer losing the information or even following up with the customers on their needs. This is my mind is just plain bad customer service and the way to kill their own business. They just lost the opportunity to sell/make money. Bottom line, I was not impressed, not even satisfied...and was sort of just appalled how they would treat their customers that way...and even let their sales slipped away. read more

If I could give this store and the staff 0 stars I would. We were waiting on a vest in the mail to our house- Men's Warehouse unsuccessfully delivered TWICE and then had us pick it up from the store in downtown Seattle. Upon pickup we had to pay for parking because we had to wait 45 minutes for them to even locate the vest after they stated they had it in store. We paid to have it tailored and were told guaranteed pick up by August 2nd by 2pm. Here we are, at 3:30, the team couldn't locate the vest the day of pickup for another 30 minutes. Once they found it- they said it was being worked on as we speak (after 2 weeks of them having it for tailoring). The salesman, Owen, was completely disrespectful as we were explaining our concerns and frustrations, making faces and even laughing. We simply wanted to talk to the manager, which we were not given the courtesy of. Owen went to talk to him and stated that our parking for this visit will be reimbursed. After shipping costs, travel time, parking multiple times, and the cost of vest/tailoring, we are extremely disappointed. This is the exact reason we went away from Men's warehouse for our wedding back in September. GO USE THE BLACK TUX. Awful customer service! Needed to purchase a tux for a New Year's Eve wedding and have it shipped to Florida. Purchased on December 3 and was told alterations would be made and could be delivered by December 28. No one ever called to follow up or give status update so called on December 29 to check on it. Spoke to AJ who told us the tux was never shipped; that it was still sitting there with our address on it! He blamed it on recent break-ins and heavy snow (ok but then why not call us and give us an update so we can come up with a plan B?). He assured us that he, personally, would make certain it went out for next day delivery (December 30) to our hotel. Tracked it via FedEx that day and the status simply said "label created." Called back to check on it and was told FedEx never came the day before so it was still sitting there. Bear in mind, now the wedding is the next day in Florida and the tux is still in Seattle! Asked for a refund and now have to shop for a last-minute tux on the day of the wedding on one of the most popular tuxedo nights of the year! Very frustrating and would not recommend this place. We used Mens Wearhouse for the tuxes and suits for our wedding. I checked with the store multiple times about alterations in the event that something didn't fit, and they assured me that they would be able to FedEx replacements even with a Saturday pick up. They lied. Two really important things happened with our order: 1) The Spokane store did not correctly measure the best man. They measured him with his jacket on! He didn't try on anything to ensure fit! The tux that arrived did not fit him, and they had to switch out the pants. My husband's pants didn't fit, at all, and we had to drive to the location in Southcenter to get him a pair that fit. If that store had not been able to supply us with a spare pair, my husband would have been sewn into pants that did not fit him. 2) My father-in-law, who admittedly is a scruffy fellow, was treated very poorly when he walked into the store. They assumed he was homeless and started to usher him out of the store. My husband had to yell out to them that he was with our part. After he was brought over, they realized that his suit was not with the order. The Spokane store did not follow the notes on the account that indicated the suits should have been sent to Seattle, and the Seattle store did not check the order until we were present. We ended up buying a suit for him because they didn't have anything that would match my father's suit. Read that again: we had to buy a suit because they neglected to insure the accuracy of the order. Out of all of the rentals, only my father's rental was correct, and he was measured 3,000 miles away in Atlanta. That is utterly unacceptable. I was furious with all of the mistakes on our order. Yes, the Spokane location is to blame for certain errors, but this location did not ensure that the order was correct before we arrived for pick up. They also lied to me about the ability to have items shipped. My family has done a lot of business with Mens Wearhouse at locations across the country, and we were horrified at the outrageous lack of professionalism and overall disaster that was our order. read more

I went to buy my suit for graduation. When the attention came, it was a bit bad but then they managed to take care of us. The young man who took care of us did everything very quickly and without wanting to do it. They managed to take my measurements. It was extremely expensive $700 a suit without shoes, tie and belt. But it's okay, a few days later they called me to take other measures and charged me $80 more. I had to wait a little less than a month for my suit to be delivered on the corresponding day. I went get my suit and they told me that I wasn't ready yet. They made me miss the trip, I had to call my father to solve that problem or they had to refund me money, as soon as my father claimed they told me that in 1 hour they would give me the suit. We thought everything was fine, but at the time of measuring it, it was not correct with the measures I had previously taken. Total failure. read more

I bought 2 suites here several years ago from a great salesman. I returned to buy some shirts and inquire about the tailoring policy. When I finally got someone to help me he didn't answer my question about tailoring. I had to ask for a yes or no answer. So frustrating. Also I went with the intention of buying some shirts. The older (really old) salesman didn't even bother looking at me but I remembered him being that bad 2 years before(not sure why he hasn't been let go) so I looked for another rep. The salesman I was stuck with was rude and classless about helping me pick out shirts. He offered me 3 options and said that was pretty much it. I ended up leaving because he was so short with me and uninvested in my experience. I will not return. I will not recommend. In fact I will direct people away because my experience was so poor. read more

I've visited this store a couple of different times and I have some mixed feelings about the level of service. I have never really had any issues with the employee here in fact Michael was awesome, but I did witness an employee by the name of Kim snap at another employee, and I thought it was pretty unprofessional. Most of the clothing is pretty overpriced considering the quality of materials used and the mediocre level of service. I get better service at Macy's and don't spend nearly as much for better quality suits. I would definitely recommending somewhere else to look and visit here as a last resort. read more

I really trusted this place. I looked on line for a men's store in an emergency to find myself a vest because my outfit just didn't seem complete for an event I was attending in the area. I ignored the rating and reviews because hey, it's men's warehouse! And in Seattle too! I have money and I was dressed well..just missing a vest. I entered the empty store. There were 4 employees that I could see and 2 customers in what looked like a rental area. I just explained my situation in a fun way as to share in my Saturday night energy...I got no smiles or reaction from them. They seemed bothered that they had to work on a Saturday night perhaps? I felt like I inconvenienced them by entering the store. One lady helped me by showing me their clearance area as I just needed a quick solution. I didn't care about it being disposable. She showed me an $85 vest and told me that it was all they had in the cheap price range. I was surprised? I then asked for a store that sold only suits that probably could just give me something cheaper. She looked towards a young man and he immediately told me to go about a mile from here and I could find a vest for $250 at that store. yes, he meant to be condescending. Although, I knew that I easily made more than double any of their salaries, I didn't feel the need to put them in their place. I had nothing to prove to them. I said thank you and as I walked outside, I noticed Jos A Bank kitty corner. Long story short, I had an amazing experience at Jos A Bank in both effort, service, and pricing. he went out of his way to show me that I was human and not below him as well as made an effort to help me out in my situation. We also had some good laughs. I walked out with a $70 vest and a clear conscience that I didn't give any money to Men's Warehouse full of snobs. read more

After looking online at what Men's Warehouse had to offer, I went to the downtown location to ask if they had a particular suit that caught my eye. Not only did they not carry it, but the sales rep told me that it was cheap quality. At first I thought, "Wow, what an honest guy." But then I realized, "Holly crap dude, if that suit is cheap quality, what does that mean about the rest of your suits? Anyways, I then proceeded to browse around the store looking at suits. The layout is pretty nice, but it seems like every Men's Warehouse store has the same awkwardly annoying staff. Have you ever been to a bad car lot, where every sales rep is trying to blow you to make the deal? Yep, Men's Warehouse. What about having a group of cheesy douches trying to talk down to you because they are wearing suits? Yep, Men's Warehouse. Listen dudes, you wear suits because it's your job. Literally, it's your job to wear the product that you sell. You aren't smart and sophisticated because of what you wear. read more

It seems like the service of Men's Warehouse varies greatly from store to store and this location is definitely not one of the shining stars of the chain. I went in during a weekend afternoon to see what my options are available for renting a suit or tux. The lady that was helping me, after I waited for her to finish her phone call, only briefly mentioned about the differences between a suit and a tux. (Supposedly it's only a bit of satin material somewhere on the coat.. so why should I pay more for a tux then?) Afterwards, she handed me a binder of the different tux options they have and went off to do something else. After perusing through the different options, I went back to the lady, again back on the phone, to see about placing a reservation only to find out that she won't take a reservation at the time because the wedding is too far in the future. This kind of service is worse than if I was to just look at their website and go through the designer tool they have there... and I could actually book the reservation if I wasn't so appalled by the in-store service. Other Men's Wearhouse stores I've been to in the past (Bellevue Square and one in Los Angeles) both have had vastly better service. At this point though, I might just go down the block to Nordstrom and simply buy a suit there for a bit more than the cost of renting at Men's Wearhouse, with the benefit of getting vastly better customer service. read more

I had my old shirt with my size in hands, the sales associate (short man with raspy voice) payed no attention to my needs, handed me a shirt (33 sleeves) so I said "but my size is 37" he said I'll be right back and ditched me to go get a new costumer. I like to review places for what they are rather than compare them to more expensive deluxe competitors. With that in mind, I'm still giving an F- to both this location of Men's Wearhouse and the Lloyd Center location in Portland, OR. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/mens-wearhouse-portland-2) MW's business model is to move a ton of low to mid-quality suits out the door as quickly as possible using cheap, commission-based customer service thinly veneered with an aura of "class." The result is what feels like a used car lot with grinning salesmen trying to massage you into a quick purchase. Well fine, that's just what you get at a cheaper place, right? WRONG. The suits at MW are not cheap. They're often just as expensive as elsewhere, and the service is just not attentive enough to ensure you walk out with what's really right for you. They're simply not paid enough. What's worse, the commission-based pay scheme means these guys will tell you you look good in whatever rubbish they're trying to move out the door. In short, what makes MW a bad experience is that you're forced to deal with incompetent salespeople whose interests are not aligned with yours. At the Seattle branch, a salesman approached me and would not leave me alone until he had shown me five different suits, priced between $600-1400. More than once, I told him I was fine shopping on my own, but he kept insisting on showing me "just one more" suit. On a second trip, I returned to inquire whether an older suit I brought was in good enough condition for their donation - 50% off deal. The manager left to check, then, with no further conversation, returned with a receipt. He'd already completed the transaction before I'd even agreed to make the donation! Then, the receipt fine print said the discount lasted only 30 days! It was apparent to me that neither the salesman nor the manager was listening carefully to anything I had said. Later, I asked the salesman whether certain suits were on sale, and he came back and gave me lower prices for both of them. I then asked whether I could apply the 50% donation discount to them, and he replied that the LOWER PRICES WERE THE RESULT OF MY DONATION DISCOUNT. While I'm not a mathematician, I don't need a computer to tell me what 50% off looks like. It seemed like a really condescending way of telling me, "no, these suits are not on sale." Probably, though, the guy just wasn't listening to me. Similarly, at the Portland branch, I actually bought two suits and asked for one to be tailored. I told the store manager, who seemed preoccupied with the soccer game on TV, that I'd return to Portland in one week to pick it up. He said it'd be ready. I returned a week later to find they hadn't even started the alterations yet and that for some reason he'd put down a pickup date of two and a half weeks later. I wouldn't be in the city long enough for them to get finished. This SNAFU happened because Men's Wearhouse service people just don't get paid enough to really care about your satisfaction. It's just not the business model. Bottom line: Men's Wearhouse is a used car lot. If you're going to spend that kinda cash, spend it where you know you'll walk out happy. If you want to try MW anyway, bring friends and be prepared to be pushy. read more

Their measurements sucks. My friends send me here to rent a Tuxedo for their wedding as I was the best man and the look was already set for us. I picked in-store measurements thinking they would accurately measure and give me the best fit! They took the measurements and told me to be back two days before the wedding to pick it up. Two days before the wedding before driving down to Oregon I was there to find out the suit and pants are loose and bigger than fit. I ended up being in a lousy loose suit for the whole wedding! Never trust their measurements and try to avoid renting from them. It was not either cheap after all. 200 bucks for renting a ill fitted lousy suit. Such a disappointment. read more

I cancelled my order and instead went to the Northgate location. The sales person I had at the downtown location, unfortunately his name I forgot, was cold and your typical sales people looking to get me out the door in the most expensive item. I specifically told them that I didn't want to spend a lot so instead of a $700 suit he first had me try on, he put me in a $500 suit. On the site they say there are $199 suits, the salesman told me that the prices online aren't found in stores, this isn't true. I went to Northgate the next day and got the exact suit I saw online for the same price. When I cancelled my order, the salesman, the same one who sold me the suit, didn't even look at me or say a word as he took my receipt and cancelled my order. My husband and I used the downtown Seattle Men's Wearhouse for tuxedo rentals in March for our very large wedding party. We initially chose Men's Wearhouse for several reasons: 1) they partner with David's Bridal which is where I got my wedding dress and kelly green bridesmaid dresses, which meant I could match the tie colors exactly to the bridesmaid dresses, 2) I had a discount coupon from the Seattle Wedding Show as well as from David's Bridal, and 3) they have lots of different locations, and the people in our wedding party live all across Washington, with some of them in different states. We stopped by initially on a weeknight after work and began working with Madeline, who was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about what they have to offer. One thing to keep in mind is that the deals on the TV commercials aren't necessarily what you're going to want. The less expensive rentals are for cheaper, out-of-style tuxes. If you want something trendy or modern you're going to need to pay a bit more. We actually didn't realize this until after we had already selected a style, and once we learned the price we were a little shocked, but we could have walked away at that point. However, when we price shopped a bit the rental cost really wasn't outrageous, and for every five tuxes you rent you get one free. We ended up renting 15 tuxes for our wedding, 2 of which were free (for my husband and my father). Madeline was very helpful when we were choosing the style and color of the ties and vests. One thing about Men's Warehouse rentals is that they don't have any samples for you to try on at the store, so you just have to choose a style based on how it looks on the mannequin, then they measure you and your suit comes in a few weeks before the wedding. At that point they do custom alterations. When my husband went in a couple days before the wedding the shirt he had ordered was way too big, but they were able to get a new one in by the next day that worked great. We returned everything on Sunday after the wedding and there were no hidden fees or charges. Lots of people on here have complained about the car salesman like service, but we never felt like we were pressured into anything and we felt like everyone we interacted with was helpful and accommodating. We were happy with the service we received and the way the tux rentals looked the day of our wedding. We would definitely recommend Men's Wearhouse for wedding tuxedo rentals. read more

Men's Wearhouse was a great option for planning our wedding from out of town. We were able to go walk into the store in Seattle, pick out the tux, get the right size, textures/finishes, and accessories, then have it shipped directly to the store nearest to the wedding. They were able to hem the trousers on site when my husband went to pick them up. The tux looked awesome and was in great condition. They even had kids' sizes for the flower boy. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. AVOID THIS PARTICULAR STORE. Went in there three times in the last 5 months (which is how long it took them to get my suit tailored) and each time they were slow and unhelpful. First, I called the company to ask when I can pick up my suit because they gave me no time frame. They said it would take at least another month because they sent the wrong suit to get fitted (I'm guessing BS) Second, the guy told me he would call me when it was done. After waiting another month, with no phone call, I walked in to ask what was going on. After being in there for 45 minutes, someone told me the suit hasn't even been sent to get fitted and they would have to start all over with measurements and so forth (because they lost the documentation). Third, they told me they were backed up and it would take 2 MONTHS for it to be ready. 5 months later, I finally have my suit for all the wedding that had already occurred. Awesome. My boyfriend needed a suit for an upcoming event since he did not have one. We were greeted promptly by Autumn who made our experience so wonderful. My mom was with us and she had high expectations for a suit store. Autumn fielded all of our questions, helped us try on a couple of diffrent suits until she found the right one for my bf. ***Update as of February 27th, 2020*** Corporate Men's Wearhouse reached out and has resolved the issue. I am satisfied with their solutions. I have been give a partial refund and the correct jacket. Special thanks to Ariane in customer support corporate for handling the situation. Have changed the star rating to 2 stars instead of 1 star. Terrible customer and follow-up service. Had ordered a custom $440 suit for a wedding in which I was in the Bridal Party too. I go in for an initial fitting and a week later they call me to tell me they messed up the functioning buttons for the sleeves. Find time to go in a week later and set-up the correct size/fitting/functionality of the suit. They tell me I can pick up this corrected version after the wedding because they would have to reorder it. They would cut and fit the current one they have for the wedding for the time being. They tailor the suit, give me a call saying the suit is ready and I come the week before the wedding to pick it up. I fly out of town for the wedding. Time comes I open the suit bag and they FORGOT to put in the tie and belt that goes along with the suit. I am livid. I call around different Men's Warehouse to see if they carry what was on my receipt. And the closest one is about an hour away from where I am staying. Low and behold I miss Bridal party photos and had to pay extra for a tie and belt. Whats even more INSANE is that when I expressed my concerns to the assistant manager Rj. He had the nerve to say that I FORGOT THOSE ITEMS. If I order a pizza and have half a pizza missing who's fault is that? Then he tried the bright idea to try and charge me 50% for a restocking fee and then when I declined he gave me business cards to his manager because "he cant do anything else." What a joke. Ramon Jensen, the assistant manager, should not be in his position. A salesmen, who has no awareness for his stores cliente. Some one who honestly lacks accountability for his team and tries to weasel himself out of decisions. BUYER BEWARE, if your looking for a suit that's fitted and has more than 3 pieces, expect problems. And when their team messes up, don't expect any customer support on the follow-up. Honestly, I'm not very knowledgeable about men's suits; however, my husband still requested my input on a couple versatile and sharp-looking suits and accessories he was needing for upcoming business travel. We were very happy with the staff and selection at this location. The staff that assisted us (Justin and Franco) were so helpful. We were not attacked upon entering the store and after we'd circled and were ready for help, they met us on the way to the counter. Realizing our relative inexperience they never left our side and the suits were then selected and fitted for alteration within 45 minutes or so. Another plus for a guy who hates shopping, and me who isn't a big fan either. Plus, they were so eager to answer my silly questions about tie widths, pocket squares, trouser breaks and all that stuff I had NO idea about. My husband is very traditional and casual in his dress choices. After a couple,"nahs", they picked up on that and were both so tasteful in their selections, encouraging some modern touches still well within his comfort range. I was pleased that they were mindful of us being on a budget; between sales that we caught and gift certificates for a return trip (definitely) we got out of there pretty close to what we had in mind, AND with a pair of shoes and belt that we hadn't budgeted for but still came in under our limit. On my flight in to Seattle last night (I'm a pilot with a large airline) my uniform pants zipper decided the time was right to fall apart. On a Sunday with a fairly short layover my options were limited. I could tie my tie to hang past my crotch but then I'd look too much like my 91 year old dad. I could walk around with my hat nonchalantly placed over my groin but ... No, that's not gonna work either. Safety pins from the rooms sewing kit? Uh nope. Fortunately Men's Wearhouse opened early on Sunday. Mike Albright made sure I was taken care of quickly and a couple hours later I'm ready to fly all night again.
