LOVE THIS STORE! We go out of our way to drop by when we come home to visit family in Tacoma. So excited that they survived pandemic shut down and the Capitol protests! The guys who work there are welcoming and helpful. The displays are bright and organized. The collection of shoes and collectibles are so very unique. I still have a pair of Adidas that I bought from here 5 years ago! I have not been able to find a pair like it ANY WHERE, and I've tried! Really looked forward to visiting here to check out what they got. I love their collaborations and whenever I come to a city with a BAIT people want me to pick up stuff for them. The staff here was super friendly and the dude who helped me was able to get all the stuff I wanted to pick up. Definitely not use to getting help at a sneaker/streetwear store like this so it's one of my favorites. There were 3 fellas working that day - Tommy, Kane, and I totally forgot the 3rd guy's name but he wore glasses + cap and helped me while I was shopping (forgive me, bro!) - and all 3 guys were super personable. I had already finished making my purchase but I stayed another 20 min or so just conversing with them about the pros/cons of living in the Bay Area vs PNW since I had future plans of moving up there haha. Great shop for sneakers, streetwear, and collectibles at fair prices. This isn't like a typical overpriced sneaker resale shop. This shop is goated and usually sells new sneaker drops at retail, although lines are long and it's first come first serve. They have Jordans, Yeezys, and other "hype" brands. The shop has a dope aesthetic and has tons of cool collectibles to buy. They also have a buy 4 get 1 free deal on blind boxes, which are about $7-$12 each, and they're really nice about it. If you like the one that's on display, they'll let you exchange the one you bought, if you open in store. The blind boxes are My Hero, Sanrio, Art of War, One Punch Man, and more. The staff are also really helpful and super chill. Would definitely recommend checking out when you're in Cap Hill! read more

Came in and wasn't looking for anything in particular but found a dope coffee table book which was, "The Ultimate Sneaker book" and a dope Futura Labs ammo box display piece. The entire staff was very cool and chill, Tomi or Tommy *hopefully I spelled it correctly* who helped me and chatted with me for a bit was very helpful and friendly. I've been to different Bait stores but this one was by far the biggest. The guys working here are pretty chill and didn't really bother us while we shopped around for 30 minutes and made it clear to let them know if we needed any help at all with sizing for the clothes or shoes. This my all my all time fave spot! I am used to Vegas and LA where all the shops are so close to each other and everyone knows each other. I had just moved here and when I walked in Bait instantly had that same vibe! They welcomed me in and since I was new to Seattle, they showed me around the shop and went through all the product. The manager asked what kind of releases I was into and if there's anything I'm ever looking for to just give them a call and they'd help me track it down - even if they didn't stock/carry it!! Now that is serious customer service. I am now a repeat customer and definitely got that shop loyalty. If a place shows you love, you gotta show it back and put good word out there. Lately they've helped me track down my size if I've shown up too late for a release or my size didn't come in. I really don't know how this place has a 4 star rating. Every time I've come in here, the "employees" are rude, they act like they don't care about their jobs, they spend their times looking at their phones or laptop, and they just give off vibes of "I don't want you in here". This place lacks in customer service hugely. I've seen better customer at McDonalds. I've seen better customer service at any of the Chinese restaurants in the international district. I've even seen better customer service from those dudes on hover-boards selling their mixtapes in Downtown Seattle. I am not even joking; at least those guys greet you and acknowledge your existence, and try to get you to buy their stuff. I used to work in retail and I still work in customer service, and I've never seen a business so poorly and unprofessionally run as BAIT. read more

Bait has the worst customer service. The vibe is, we are cool, our customers are cool, hip and have money to spend. And I'm (the sales people) too cool to treat you like you exist. My daughter got a xmas Bait gift card and wanted to buy sneakers that she saw on the Bait website. So, I took her to the store. She didn't see them in the store today and asked the worker if they had anymore and he just looked at her and in a monotone voice said no and walked away. We left the store and my daughter turns to me and says "they have terrible customer service and I wish I had a Nordstrom gift certificate instead". Never heard back after emailing them (no surprise there) and I won't go into that store again. Good luck with your too cool attitude. Seattle is a small city and word gets around, good, bad and the ugly. Update: The manager did get back to me apologizing and saying that they do value good customer service. But when I returned a couple months later, again the sales people didn't look at me or say hello. read more

There's nothing like being followed around by the not-so-inconspicuous sales associate. I won't say which one it was, but she should really work on being more discrete. Maybe if she saw the luxury car I pulled up in or the $700 shoes on my feet, she would have been less apt to be so discriminatory. Realllyyyy cool store up on Cap Hill! We didn't even know this place existed. We were searching for Killion, a new store that was opening in the area, and thought this might be it... It wasn't, but we weren't disappointed! They have a lot of cool brands (Publish, Nike, etc.) and the store itself just looks really nice. There's brick walls and cool hanging fixtures... I don't do the best describing it, but believe me - it's cool and definitely worth checking out! My boyfriend wanted one of everything in this store AND they have Publish brand for WOMEN. I've never seen that ANYWHERE else so that's definitely a plus for me. Employees were very nice as well and weren't pushy about selling anything. Bait is expectedly cool, definitely one of the spots I was glad to see while visiting Seattle (I think there is one also in SF but I avoid San Francisco more than other cities these days). There's a whole wall of rad toys and collectibles, like Kaws figures and Bearbricks. The shoe selection is decent, from general nike and adidas new releases to some harder to grab shoes that certainly aren't at a Footlocker. They have Y3 stuff, which is probably the most high end stuff they have for sale. I also really like the apparel range, from the Bait collab tees and hoodies, to the various streetwear brands you'd expect to find. The folks who work here are very chill and laid back, which I appreciated, and the music is solid and not annoying. If I'm ever in Seattle, I'll be back. read more

Called to ask about a sneaker drop after an employee at Likelihood directed me here. I was very specific with the release date, brand and style number but the dude kept saying "I really don't know." When I asked if he could check with someone else he said "nope," and hung up on me! Seriously shocking after the employee at Likelihood was so helpful. With high-ticket stock like this, customer service is paramount, to say the least. At least now I know to avoid them. read more
