Just like the other Men's Warehouses, they think if you have broad shoulders you must be 6ft 5'. If your size is 48S, 50S, or 52S, don't bother, you won't have anyone help you anyway. Staffed by teenagers who don't understand how humiliating it is to walk into a store with literally thousands of items, and their not be a single one in your size. I will never step foot in one of these places again. Would give zero stars if I could. Was there for 30 minutes, store slow, and didn't even get acknowledged. read more

My first time coming here with my boyfriend was June 1st. My boyfriend wanted to purchase suits for a job he was applying for, and knew he would be getting the job. This job requires business attirw more so, suits or classy polos are acceptable. He never had a suit before. We knew the range of his size based on suits we tried on at the mall. A gentleman helped us for a brief moment, and then the assistant manager Amber. She is bubbly, energetic, funny, and super sweet! She was telling us all the deals they had on suits for different brands. One brand was buy one get one free, and another had deals with the pants. She also shared the cheap price of dress shirts 3 for $99. She helped my boyfriend find ones he liked. He found a grey, navy blue, and black one. Let me just say this. I can not believe how overly sensitive and accomodating she was with him. He is color blind and has sensitive eyes. He only likes greys, blacks, and blues when it comes to shirts or suits. I told her that he hates all kinds of patterns and bright colors. She did not scrutinize him or judge him. She was super helpful in finding items in those tones. She matched ties and shirts with the suits. We ended up buying all three suits and then three shirts as well. They are super comfortable and nice as well. He saved over $1200 because of the deals going on in the store, thanks to Amanda. She said he would get 2 $50 coupons in the mail because of how much he spent. We paid for alterations as well, and had no issues with the pants. They were done in a timely manner, and they made the process super quick. I want to add that when my boyfriend came to try on the pants again, they were super respectful. She even labeled the hangers with the names of the colors for each suit! I thought this was super amazing! She knew that he could not tell the difference, as I told her that he struggled to tell which was blue or black. She did not judge him or treat him poorly. I was so happy to hear he was accomodated. We came in the store today, July 27th, because I saw some short sleeve polos. It had been very hot out lately and polos are acceptable in his workplace. Once again we walked in and we were treated with respect. We were asked many times like last time if we needed help or if we were looking for something in particular. We saw Amber and she was excited to see us, remembered us, and asked if we brought the coupons too! She helped find some polos, but my boyfriend is so basic. She helped me find the sizes for a polo that was liquid soft. He was obsessed with them, and so we ordered some online. She is going to have them ship it to our home, as they did not carry any in his size or any in one particular color. She helped me find the listing online to see the color shades. We only spent $40 on shirts that were all $30 a piece because of the coupon! Amazing! I do want to add one more thing. Sometimes I dress like a complete bum. When we came in to buy suits, I was wearing baggy men's basketball shorts. I was wearing a baggy basketball shirt as well. I looked so bad! My hair was a complete mess. This did not alter the way I was treated. My boyfriend had basketball shorts on as well. Amanda still treated us with the utmost respect and wanted to see us happy. She wanted to ensure we were well taken care of during our shopping experience. Usually when I dress down, store clerks will ignore us and think we are just looking. First off, I want to say that Lindsey or Lindsay who works here was great when she helped me today. And the store has a great selection. That's all the good I can say about this store. I recently came here to buy a suit for an upcoming wedding and the alterations I got the first time were wrong and one sleeve was longer than the other by almost a 1/4 inch. The second time I brought it back for new alterations, the tailor was very rude and interrupted me explaining what I wanted to tell me that she had opinions too. I came back a third time bc I received an email saying the alterations were done and was told they actually weren't. I asked to try on the jacket again and just reiterate what I wanted and again the tailor cut me off multiple times to tell me what she had decided. The alterations were finally done correctly on the second attempt. Overall I have loved this store in the past but I can not keep coming here if I cannot be treated with some class. read more

Nothing fit properly upon picking up my suit and they didn't have time to make more adjustments before the wedding. Multiple other people in the wedding had similar or varying other issues. Literally terrible. My wedding is this June so we went in and picked out a suit for our groomsmen to wear on 03/06/23. I put the deposit down, arranged fittings for all of our groomsmen...had multiple people from mens warehouse call and confirm what we chose. Just got a phone call today saying what we picked isn't available and won't be until October. How in the world did we get this far and we're never told this? I am beyond frustrated. Terrible,terrible, terrible!!!!! Made over a $700 purchase in this store. Alterations were made on the suit, the fitting room attendant hung the pants up all twisted, found out the morning of a family members funeral, that suit was wrinkled. My husband was serving as pallbearer so he wanted to show the upmost respect in the honor of his late uncle. On our way to the funeral I called the store asked for the manager to explain the condition of the suit and was treated beyond rude by the manager, it was actually disgusting. The manager accused my husband and myself of improperly caring for the suit after we left the store and gave at least five other reasons why the wrinkled suit was our fault.....the customer. I'm in disbelief of the manner I was treated. I expected NOTHING, I wasn't looking for any money back or discount, all I was looking for was, "oh no, so sorry, I will definitely bring this to our dressing room associates attention" I'm not sure about everyone, but we actually work for our money, it surely doesn't grow on trees and $700 plus alterations was a large purchase. No, I would not recommend this place. I waited at least 5-10 mins before I walked around and had to find staff. Finally, I found a staff member, and the lady measured me wrong. Fast forward to the day of fitting. I tried on the shirt and it was extremely big. I said to them, I wasn't pleased and if they could offer me my money back, considering I wasn't taking the shirt with me. Their response was "no". I grew angry, because they wasn't accommodating considering their employee couldn't measure properly. I have had pretty positive experiences coming to this location. It is quite large and there are many different suit pieces to choose from. Of course, they try and sell you a high level suit that costs a lot more than what you want, but that's their job, and they almost convinced me to do so because they are incredibly patient with you in your deciding period of what to buy. The prices are pretty good as well and you get a good quality suit along with the price. I look forward to coming here again for my next suit or tuxedo. read more

The employees in suit rental were awful to deal with by being unwelcoming and annoyed of my presence (not the manager). They also sized my pants wrong for my wedding day, to which I was told they are supposed to "run big." I recently rented 2 tuxedos for my brothers wedding. They were $230 each for me and my 9 year old son, which I thought was ridiculous. The tuxedos were cheap in quality. When I went to get measured, the people working there were arguing with each other in front of all if the customers. The people measuring me were disagreeing about my measurements. In the end I was right about my measurements. The sales people seemed bothered that I was getting fit. My wife returned the tuxedos. A woman grabbed the tuxedos without uttering a word. She then asked where the pants where. My wife said they were in the other bag. The woman got angry. We spent $460 and received horrible customer service. I will never go in that store again and I suggest nobody else does. read more

I recently visited your store in Utica, MI on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 around 3:30 pm. I was interested in your Buy 1 Get 1 Free special. I wanted to get 2 dress shirts to add to my wardrobe. I did not necessarily need the dress shirts but I figured between the special and treating myself it would have been a nice addition to my wardrobe. I was met by Joe and told him that my size was 17.5 Collar and 34/35 sleeve length. He said no that I was an 18.5 and 36/37 sleeve length. Knowing that I have over 27 dress shirts that are either 17.5 or 18 Collar Size and 34/35 Sleeve lengths depend in the shirt style and that was my size. Joe decided to measure me and measured an 18.5 collar and 34/35 Sleeve length. Joe asked me what suit colors I have and what color shirts I was looking for. I told him I was looking for a purple and another color. Since he knew I was only looking to buy two shirts we must have figured out that I was not worth his time and commission. He called over Habib to finish assisting me. Habib pulled out almost every shirt in the size Joe measured me at and tie color combos. Habib never spoke to me during this time and just kept pulling out shirts and ties. I told Habib I would take these two shirts and tie combos. Habib then said "Are you sure you do not want to buy more shirts and ties"? I said, "No, I just came in for two shirts to buy today and I guess I will buy these to ties since they matched nicely". This started to give me an uneasy feeling that Habib cared more about his commission than me as a person. When I was being rung up in which I spent over $150 dollars your manager who is older with glasses and a bald head said to me "When you are ready to purchase bigger items you come and see me". To appease his ego I said, "I will". Leaving your store I got a real uneasy feeling that I was more of a dollar figure than a person. I got home and left the shirts and ties in the bag. I was bringing my dry cleaning to the dry cleaners on Friday and noticed this 17.5 collar shirt that I was wearing fits me just fine decide to keep these shirts from being dry cleaned that I just purchased from your store. The more and more I ponder my visit to your store the more resentment I had towards your store in Utica, MI. I decided after going to the gym I would return these shirts and ties. Returned an X-Mas gift here. Their big "sale" was having everything in the store be Buy-One Get One Free. Well it's not very complicated to see what they did: They simply just marked everything in their store to almost double the price. I wanted to exchange the tie for a pair of black dress pants. I wear a 36 waist and 32 length... this is a popular size and I didn't think there would be much trouble to at least find a couple pairs of pants to try on. Unfortunately there was only one kind of black pants that I liked, but it was $150! Don't waste your time going here, the owner who helped us was not interested in understanding what we wanted. But most of all they had 1/3 of the selection of Kohl's, but wanted to charge $100 more for a pair of pants. read more

I have spend thousands of dollars with this company. Generally always pretty good service. I always had a job which required me to wear a suit. My currently position always me to dress down a little bit. Recently I brought a pair of pants in to be taken out. The associate took my measurements and told me it will be about a month. Seems every time I ever bought a suit, it was a matter of days to get tailored. His reasoning was that they had a buy one get one sale coming up and they would be busy with that. We booked our wedding party for the men at men's warehouse in Auburn Hills and they decided that they were not giving us one solid price on all of the guys outfits. Instead they bounced back and forth between certain percentages off and discounts that's they are having. So less than half of our party got a deal and the others paid out a ridiculous amount for a shirt and pants. Lance was who I spoke to on the phone and he was extremely disrespectful and had absolutely no solution for this problem, instead he slow talked me and then said would you rather have gotten only 40% on everyone's outfit instead of the extra percentage during the deal time? I will never use men's warehouse going forward because the level of disrespect should not be tolerated. If you can go anywhere else please do. They also didn't even keep track of who was in our bridal party and tried to turn one of our guys away because they didn't have his name in the system. read more

I swore to never enter this store years ago after being bait and switched all day into a suit two or three times more than I was planning on spending. Then a friend of mine decided unknown to me to use them as his wedding authority. We were not wearing tuxedos, just the same suits. The suit is already decided on, no options, yet these commission goblins kept pushing and pushing. The guy who helped us or lack there of, was extremely short with his answers when asked a question. It was as if we were inconveniencing him by asking questions. When he asked what color suit we wanted i said gray...he proceeds to pull out a dark gray suit, I said "do you have anything lighter" and then he says rudely " for an October wedding?" We didn't even get the guys name but he was bald and wore glasses. After reading their reviews I wish we would've read them before even going there. WOW! The one star rating of this store is well deserved! I just moved from South Carolina and have bought all my clothes at Men's Wearhouse for quite a while. The service I'm accustomed to is nowhere to be found at this store. I shopped for about 30 minutes and was never approached by a salesperson, and there were plenty there. I even tried on two pairs of jeans and still no help. The final straw was the salesman that couldn't put down his Rubik's Cube to help. So I go to the front of the store and two more salesmen walk right past me, go outside and fire up their smokes! Needless to say this is my first and last visit to this store. Back in the beginning of August my father suddenly and unexpectedly passed away 2 months to the date of my sister's wedding. When she called to explain what had happened and to see if my brother could take my dad's rental (which he had already put a deposit down on) they were nothing but rude about the situation. They had no sypmathy for my sister losing her father 2 months before the wedding instead they say well I guess because it's the same name we can do it this time. Between my brother in law and brother talking to these people, their attitudes never changed. Two days before the wedding my brother goes to pick up his tux and they have the measurements completely wrong. Some pieces were sized to fit my dad and others him. This was barely a big deal to them all they said was it'd be in the day of the wedding. They do this for a living, how can it be that he comes in to get sized and they're that incompetent even though it's their business to take the correct measurement. My brother later calls the store to talk to the manager once he gets on the phone he simply says oh I'm sorry to hear that let me get the story I'll call you back. He himself never calls back instead he has the rude employee that fitted him call back and just say that it'll be ready by Saturday. Then my mom decides to call and talk to the manager and he was nothing but rude to her saying I don't know what you want from me and when she finally says I'll call the corporation he replies good I'm done with you. What kind of manager is that? This is absolutely ridiculous. You're business is in bridal, this bride just lost her father 2 months to date before her wedding and you can't show the tiniest bit of sympathy and make this easy on her? Planning a wedding is stressful enough but try grieving your father, the man who is supposed to walk you down the isle, on top of it. I would never reccomend mens wearhouse to anyone, ever.
