Menudo, all the fixings, and a coke! Delicious!

Yessss. I found my menudo spot in TJ. I usually like to get up early Saturday mornings and have some breakfast in TJ. I've found great traditional breakfast places but I've struggled to find a menudo spot that serves great tasting menudo, quesadillas and other non-menudo breakfast items for the non-menudo eating lost souls I take company with. The restaurant is clean and welcoming with bright traditional Mexican decor. Service was fast and friendly. The staff was attentive to everything. Definitely coming back. Only drawback I would say is that there is only street parking.

    If you know, you know.

We stayed in Rosarito and wanted to eat menudo there before we headed back to LA, but it didn't happen. When we arrived to TJ heading towards the border, we Googled for a place that specializes in menudo. We tried going to one place, but couldn't find parking and then we went to this place. I'm glad we didn't end up eating it in Rosarito and I'm glad the other place in TJ didn't have parking because this place is so freaking good! I'm a pozole type of gal, but when I took the first sip of the caldo (broth), I was hooked! And I ordered it with pata (pigs feet)...OMG. To top it off, they have hand made tortillas and authentic café de olla! Definitely hitting up this place again when we go back to the mother land!!

    Menudo

The caldo was a little to heavy and think! Not sure if tomatoe sauce was used. The tortilla where on point they where delicious.

Great menudo with home made tortillas and nice atmosphere. A little out of the way from the main strip but worth going to

What a surprise! I happened to be in the area and I knew I had to try this restaurant out…read more I saw this restaurant on instagram. And it's a little bit of a drive from where I live. But today I happen to be in the area and I told my husband to try this place out. He was so happy! Once you place your order our waitress came with a big plate of sweet bread and you get to pick one! I picked the concha and my husband got the pineapple empanada! We ordered a bit of everything. My husbands go to meal always is chilaquiles. So he ordered the DIVORCIADOS $16.50 Half green and half red with carne asada and beans. We also got the CARNE EN SU JUGO $15.99 And I got the MENUDO ROJO $15.50 Let me start off by saying everything was amazing! It all tasted like it was homemade! Perfectly seasoned, with hand made tortillas. The carne en su jugo was really good! I understand why they are known for that dish. I loved my Menudo! I was craving it and it was perfect. The chilaquiles, the chips weren't soggy, they still had a bite to them. The sauces had so much flavor! My husband and I left with full bellies and a big smile on our faces! All the waitresses and waiters were so nice! Diego was telling us the story of the restaurant. Which was nice to hear. All family owned. Hopefully they open another restaurant closer to us!!! Fingers crossed! I will definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to all my family and friends!

I asked for a second cup, hoping it would be different, but it was just as sweet. The jamaica had very little flavor, and the mole chilaquiles were bland and lacked the rich flavor I was expecting. The only highlight of our visit was the waitress. She was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. Sadly, the food was very disappointing, and I don't see myself coming back.

My youngest, who is the pickiest of eaters said that these were the best nuggets he's ever had which means a lot since he's eaten chicken strips all over the world. My daughter who loves Mexican food absolutely loved it at 14 years old just as much as when we'd bring her at 3 years old. The enchiladas are bomb, with either day sauce, the salsa and chips are on point, the drinks are bomb, and they even have excellent cheese cake. Then you walk it all off at the outlets. The servers are great, tons of TVs and even live music. Legit!!

We got some margaritas for the table and they were pretty inconsistent in flavor, strength, and sweetness levels. The lime ones were much better than the strawberry ones. Got to try a few dishes here and overall, everything was pretty average. The rice was pretty disappointing as well as it was bland and didn't taste fresh. y guy said the best things on the menu are the Lengua and the Tres Leches and I completely agree. Out of everything I got to try, the lengua was the best dish. The tres leches was phenomenal! I would come back here just for those and skip everything else.
