Starters for 2: veggie samosas and chicken tikka

The service was the best part besides the food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in navigating the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. The place was very nice and comfortable. The food was amazing. I came here for Bangladeshi food and they delivered! Super satisfied with the prices and food!

I was excited to try some Indian food while in London and this place didn't disappoint! I knew I wanted to have lamb and the waiter recommended one of their spicier dishes. I would definitely recommend ordering some sort of bread on the side. The lamb was very flavorful and I loved scooping the gravy up onto the bread. The portion sizes aren't too big, so I'd advise coming with a few people and splitting some dishes.

If you are having one curry in London, you want to make sure you go to Meraz Cafe. Just a step away from the busy brick lane hustle and bustle, you will feel relaxed and well taken care of at Meraz cafe. The food is so fresh and delicious tasting. I have dined here with family and friends brought my babies. You will feel right at home. The Korma is my fav. Excellent service. I forever find myself shifting in my seat as I eat saying this food is sooo good!! A must visit! Kara

Went there for lunch on Sunday. Ordered the daily special as recommended by our server, chicken korma. I was excited about my meal based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. To be honest the flavors of the dish was nothing special. It was pretty bland. On a positive note the service was good, food came out quickly, and the garlic naan was very good.

How do we give this place more than 5 stars? We ended up here thanks to Yelp and as others have said it's a welcome reprieve away from the clamor of Brick Lane vendors. We started with Sami Lamb appetizer, chopped up lamb with onions that tasted very good. We then shared Chicken Achari, King Prawn biryani (came with veggie side), Saag paneer (think it said Sog Ponir on menu, not sure what correct spelling is) and garlic naan. Every dish was SO good and flavorful. We had a sudden epiphany that we have been going to too many mediocre Indian lunch buffets back home and that THIS is what real, good food of this cuisine (Indian, Bangladeshi) should taste like. Seriously good - best meal of our trip to London. Add to it a clean, bright, ambiance and nice waitstaff plus very reasonable prices - wish we lived In London so we could come all the time!

    Good food=happy family!

We started with a couple of beers and samosas (not pictured because hunger). Can't go wrong with any of the beers as they're all pretty light. The samosas were super crunchy and the sauce had a nice kick to it as well. For the entrée, we ordered the lamb curry, butter chicken, naan, and a side of rice. The lamb curry was out of this world delicious, but the butter chicken wasn't our favorite. It was quite velvety, a little too much for our liking, but the chicken in there was delicious. I just like to dip the naan in the sauces and it was too rich for that. But the lamb curry was outstanding and definitely scraped the sauce out with the naan (which was also amazing). We ordered one rice to split between the two dishes which was enough for us, but if you're super hungry you may want to order two. The servers were very attentive, however we were the only people in the restaurant at 3pm on a Tuesday. There was a little bit of a language barrier at first but everything was sorted with no problems. The restaurant is authentic and the food is delicious, and bonus that it's all at a great price point!

One of our group has a tomato allergy and we weren't sure how much of a selection he would have. The waitress went back and redlined the menu to show what he could have, what he couldn't, and what they might be able to alter. Super nice and it didn't take more than a few minutes. As for the food, a-maz-ing Indian. I recommend their prawn special - not too spicy but very flavor forward. The naan was a nice side to order as well. This location is fairly big with seating on the main floor, downstairs, and outside in a cover lounge area. We had a reservation, although they probably could have handled us if we didn't. That said, it was a busy weekend and the place looked fairly full by the time we left, so maybe grab a reservation. Enjoy!

INSIDE Spacious, clean, and plenty of seating both upstairs and down. MENU For larger parties, they recommend their prefix menu which includes a various sampling of lots of delicious items. FOOD 10/10 I haven't eaten Indian food much, but was thoroughly impressed. From my mango lassi which was perfectly sweetened and tart to buttered buns, fried okra, black Dahl, garlic naan, and lamb skewers, everything was delicious. I esp loved the lamb skewers! We ordered a side of garlic naan with cheese which is basically a quesadilla and it was super cheesy and delicious as well. OVERALL Would def recommend Dishoom when visiting London. It'll definitely be a hit in your books!
