Mark and Ms. Mary were both GOOD to work with, especially Mark, the Auto Tech., his COMPENTENCE was the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, the pricing didn't reflect what most people expect from an independent shop. I was charged $775 in labor for a V6 spark plug replacement (I provided the parts), which breaks down to about $193.75 per hour -- ESSENTIALLY DEALERSHIP-LEVEL LABOR RATES. Also, I was also quoted $450 for a REMANUFACTURED ALTERNATOR, even though a brand‑new OEM Toyota alternator COST LESS. Again, the staff were GOOD, Mark receives five‑star recognition for his competence; however, the pricing issues -- especially in these economically challenging times -- determined my overall ONE‑star rating, and the pricing structure makes it hard to justify returning. As Yelp has prompted me Temi's is as good as it gets. Temi runs a first class repair shop. Honest, transparent, extremely competent and qualified wrenches that do a superior job of repairing vehicles and treating both the vehicle and the customer with respect. After experiencing some absolute nightmares with chains like Firestone and private shops that claim to specialize in Lexus vehicles my experience with Temis Motorsports has been nothing but Sunshine, Rainbows and Unicorns :-). I have a 20 year old SC400 with over 300K miles that needed the attention that 20 year old cars with that kind of mileage need. I've had my car to 2 different Firestones and each one failed to resolve the issue I brought that car in with and in turn returned my car to me with oil and grime in the passenger compartment and a bill that was obscene. The other shop I used in Delray Beach, which supposedly specialized in Lexus failed to identify issues, presented issues that did not exist, and charged a premium price for parts (Premium above retail price.). When Temi returned my car to me the engine bay was cleaned and detailed, the car was washed, the interior was in the same condition as when I brought the car in. This shop respects its customers! Last month the check engine light in my Lexus IS300 came on and the car started lurching. I figured this was O2-sensor related, but when I had the codes read at Pep Boys it said a catalytic converter was bad. Research showed that this would be about a $1,900 job at the dealership, so I looked for independent mechanics since my extended warranty doesn't cover exhaust systems. Googling "Lexus mechanic Broward County" doesn't bring up much. I called three places, got an estimate from two, and ended up going with Temis Motorsports because I found one of their coupons online. It was kind of hard to find it (tucked away in the back of some warehouses on Powerline), but I'm glad I did. I spoke directly to the owner and head mechanic, Temi, and he confirmed the codes and knew immediately what the problem was. FYI, his name is Temistocles - Temi for short - hence the company name. The car was done in about 36 hours. The final total (including the coupon and taxes) came to about 30% less than what a dealership might charge. They also washed it, and Temi changed one of my brake lights that he noticed was out (no charge). Overall, a very friendly guy who smiles a lot. Later in the day the lurching started again. I texted him and he said to bring it in anytime and he'd re-diagnose it for free. It turns out that in addition to my corroded exhaust system and bad O2 sensors, there was an accelerator sensor that had gone out that was causing my lurching. This code was hidden beneath the exhaust codes before, and it would cost another $500. However, when Temi heard that I had a warranty, he asked if it was covered. I said it wasn't, because I had read that no sensors were covered. He said it wouldn't hurt to ask, so I left my car with him and he found out that it WAS covered and I ended up only paying a $100 deductible. He saved me another 80% by making a phone call I never would've made. I have the car back now, and it runs better than before the exhaust system and accelerator sensor went out. The staff is friendly, Temi knows cars (particularly Lexus), and saved over $1,000 on two jobs. A++. Temi did it again. Installed a custom A-Pillar and three gauges on my Q50 Red Sport. This guy is the best kept secret on Yelp to Infiniti and Nissan owners. Even better are his prices. i was referred to temis motorsports by repairpal, i brought my bmw to temis to fix my power steering problem on my bmw 645, first they tried to charge me $600 to repair 2 $50 hoses, then after a $1700 bill they gave me back my car with the same dynamic drive failure error blinking on the screen!! how do you return a car back to a customer with the same error blinking on the screen, temis himself said oh well there's a problem with the presssure sensor but gave me back my car with the error sstill on the dashboard screen!! do not bring your car here they are not experts, they are not cerrtified and they will over charge you and make your car worse!! also i paid them $600 to change my trnasmisssion oil and filter and now my car doesnt shift into 5th gear without going into safe mode!! they are not certified do not go there!! i have pictures to prove everything. i'm taking them to court. they gave me back my car with red flashiing errors!! read more

Temis just finished a complete engine replacement for our Audi Q5. With such a big project I was a bit concerned since I had never used him for any repairs previously. This guy is a total professional. Not just in his mechanical skills and knowledge, but also in the way he runs his business and how he treats his customers. He explained what needed to be done to install the new motor and why my original engine failed. He showed me the parts that failed in my original engine. Rare to find a guy like this. Temis in Pompano was a great experience all around. Temis, the owner, picked me up personally after I had a bad experience with another auto repair shop. They are fair and honest, and do high quality work. He picked my car up from the other crappy auto shop for free and gave me a much better quote for the work. They even detailed my car for me! My experience at Temis Motorsports was the best. I've been experiencing problems with starting my 2013 Kia Optima since April of this year, i took my car to Phil Smith Kia twice for this issue and they were no help, horrible experience every time I went there, they would shoot me away and tell me there is nothing wrong with my car. I had AAA come out one day and just bought a battery from the driver they dispatched who put the wrong battery in my car. They put a 35 and I needed a 124R and no one not even Kia picked up on this. To make a long story short, I called Temis Motorsport and the owner quickly returned my call, i explained what my car would do and sent him a video that i recently recorded so that he have a heads up. He was asked if I can bring the car right away, i brought the car the next morning and had the same problem starting the car. He decided to test the battery and that's when he noticed the battery was the wrong one, he tested everything with the right battery and everything worked. He called me with the good news, I called AAA and the came out with the right battery. The handled the AAA people and made sure they had the right battery even though he was completely swamped with his own customers. When I got there to pick the car up, he checked the battery and noticed that the batter was not secured tight, he got his tools and securely tightened it for me and would not take dime from me. I practically had to break his hand to take the money :), I wish I could given him more.
