The layout is thoughtfully organized, making it easy to find everything you need without any hassle. One of my favorite things is their selection of local products and specialty foods. From gourmet instant pastas and fresh cinnamon breads to Strauss milk, ice cream, and other delicious treats, there's always something great to discover. I can quickly grab ingredients for a healthy home-cooked meal, which has helped me save money and avoid unnecessary waste from overbuying. They even carry unique items like elk meats and savory jerky for when you're feeling a little adventurous. The meat department is outstanding--the marinated chicken is a must-try, and the beef is always fresh and high quality. And the deli? Hands down one of the best around. Their signature sandwiches are incredible--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. It's the kind of place where you go in for a few items and end up leaving with an amazing sandwich you can't wait to eat. What really sets Spangler's apart is the people. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Their positive attitude makes every visit a great experience. Spangler's truly rocks. I'll definitely be back again and again!

Spangler has a very good meat market. They have a lot of gourmet items. Their produce is adequate,…read morebut they do things like have Mexican asparagus when California asparagus is available and vastly superior.. I think they need a produce person who strives for excellence. Then I wouldn't have to go to bi- rite in San Francisco for produce or to the farmers market. However, the space used to be like a 711 run by an Indian family that was depressing to go to. Spangler's makes it possible not to have to drive 6 miles to half Moon Bay to go to New Leaf. So I'm very grateful for their presence and only hope that they get even better over the years.

I also bought the clam chowder which smelled ok once we got home, but ultimately tasted a bit sour. We live in Pacifica and drove straight home so it's not like it was sitting in the car very long. I'm very confused - Are we supposed to ask to smell and feel the crab before we buy it? If you can't get fresh dungeness crab at a place like this, next to a fishing marina (???), where the hell should I get it? I'm really just shocked that I bought two crabs here and probably could have gotten a better price and fresher crab at Safeway. Shocked and pissed. I feel duped. Ya got me! Never again. :-(

Not for the best but that feeling the place is going down the drain. Seafood selection was a joke. Salmon, whole, filet and cut up. Some sea scallops pre-frozen thawed. Live tank empty, running and looks to be black like mud butt. Bay shrimp, medium shrimp looks like has been picked though and tossed back to the tray to sell. That one guy, heavy set large guy with a hat. No customer service skills at all. He looked tired, lazy and as if asking a question was about to give him a heart attack. No explanation, no positive vibes. Felt like I was stopping him from what he was doing. Not what I remebered when the old owners were behind the counter. They were active, engaged and like all good fish mongers. Suggestions and recommendations where always appropriate to the customers. This place needs a new face lift, new customer friendly and knowledgeable employees And a better connection to those fish distributors. I say skip this place at all costs, head to the docks early to get a good deal with fishermen from their fresh catch. Or head over to an well named asia market to get your fresh seafood. I don't imagine this place lasting long if they are selling seafood like that or having employees there as the one I encountered today.

Very disappointing. $25 for a dozen oysters. 13 of them had a parasitic crab in it.
