Great little quaint location. The service from Rachel today was awesome. I wanted something to eat and they had banana loaf. I tasted and then wanted something pumpkin. Theta had 1 slice of pumpkin bread and 2 pumpkin muffins. I decided to go with the muffin because of the pepitas and cream cheese . I know calories. I deserved it after this week of work lol. I also had a 16oz White Chocolate Americano no cream. Delicious. Make sure to always use the app/ rewards number to get points. So worth it! We have been to Mercurys twice since moving here. The first time, we each got different holiday coffees, and they were all amazing. This time, we all got the Silk Caramel, and it is just as good as the others. You can taste the quality difference in this coffee, and it's so good. If you want to drink the best coffee around, you came to the right place. I love the fact that all the coffee is organic and they have so many options of milk, especially organic whole milk from Smith Brothers. Staff is always friendly and sometimes the give us very nice tips especially when the gift card reload is on sale to get free drinks. They also are so friendly with my daughters and sometimes they give them extra coffee beans which they love. They only calm about having a Mercurys Coffee is after that you don't want to coffee from anywhere else. I wish they have more locations around Washington. I like Mercury's Coffee, but dang, it's so expensive! So, I only come here when I get a coupon in the mail, which they mail out every month and you best believe I got my Mercury's on soon after. Since I was in Redmond, I decided to check out the Mercury's Coffee in Redmond, which was a good location for a quick coffee stop. This Mercury's Coffee location is off a main road in Redmond across Whole Foods and is in a small business strip. This location is particularly small, which is primarily for takeout. However, if you do want to sit in, there are a few bar seats at the window. When I visited on a weekday in the early afternoon I was the only patron at the time, but the shop quickly had a line form. No matter the time of day, people want their Mercury's Coffee. I ordered a Fusion Mocha, which is a blended mocha with dark and white chocolate. It was superb, especially since I am a chocoholic. But there was plenty of coffee and the jolt I needed to get through the day. I always order the largest size, the 32-ounce, and I never finish it the same day. It actually tastes great even a day or two afterwards. It's been my go-to order at Mercury's, but the menu is so large that there's something for everyone here. Stopped to get an awesome coffee, like always!! Rachel and all of the other girls/guys are so fun, and I always have a GREAT time in the 5 min. I spend there. However, today I was in there laughing with Rachel and in walks, what I was told, was the new Manger. Unfortunately, not a smile, a hello, and when I joked with her, she didn't even look at me. What a total disappointment. My suggestion is to have her take customer service classes from all of the other employees. I may not stop there if she is there. Made my visit very uncomfortable. Small location with limited seating. Kind of hard to get to with all the traffic at the busy intersection. Staff is friendly and responsive to your needs. As for the coffee if you like specialty, you will certainly like what Mercury has to offer. IMO a coffee joint is only as good as its espresso. I tried their Americano. I've spent over two hundred dollars utilizing my Mercury Platinum card. I can safely compare the Woodinville (2 visits), Kirkland (roughly 75 + visits) and here (Redmond, roughly ten visits). Regarding all stores: Get a frequent customer card! One point per drink, but on Monday and Wednesday you get double points (if your drink is 16 oz. or above.) * * * free drink after 14 points * * * Regarding this location: + Quick walk in service. + Barista likes her job and seems genuinely happy. + Low traffic store means you don't wait eight or ten minutes like you might do in Kirkland. + This is close to ZenRock fitness and Whole Foods. If you want a decadent treat you can balance it out with two healthy stops nearby. + Mexican mocha. At this location: - Mexican mocha was too hot today compared to Kirkland. After over two hundred dollars spent this is only the second time I felt my drink was too bit. I've been a HUGE Mercury's fan for about 4 years, buying it at least 2-3 times a week. The coffee is amazing, always tastes good, love the full range of sugar-free flavoring options and so happy they now have oat milk! At this location though, I've noticed a steady decline in customer service. Some baristas and of course the Manager are very personable, greet me by name and always have a smile on their faces. Others are standoffish and don't acknowledge when you come in, one girl in particular: shorter, brown hair, permanent sour look on her face. I cringe a little inside when I walk in and see she's working. I've tried being overly friendly to hopefully bring out a different side to her gloomy personality, but it never works. Other cons: the store is quite dirty, there's dust covering everything on the higher counter where the cup size examples are and the help-yourself side area to the left is never organized or full. I'd recommend they give the place a full top-to-bottom clean and work on customer relations with the baristas. read more

My wife and I stopped for coffee and tea, and ordered an almond croissant. It was busy and there were several folks waiting for orders along with us. Another gentleman came in. That the staff obviously knew, and he ordered after going over several options, so he had not ordered ahead. Magically his drinks were ready ahead of ours and several others who had been waiting. On top of this they overheated the croissant so it was tough, and my wife was very specific about wanting Jasmine green tea but she was given regular green tea. I've long drive by but hadn't stopped in til recently... And I've sure been back many times since. I have to say the access to enter and exit the parking lot is a pain in the arse depending on traffic and which way you are goin, but the coffee is excellent. I've tried most of their iced espresso drinks and have landed on the bees knees as my go to. Everything is good, but this one has a lot of flavor and isn't too sweet. Down side is that I tend to be done with it by the time I'm an a block away... Not because the serving size is small but because it tastes too good. Anyways, they have a frequent stamp card you can also load money onto.. sometimes there are days they give double stamp or a free shot.. and their Americanos are smooth and solid as well. read more

General 'Mercurys' praise: Mercury is, in my opinion, one of the most unique places to cafe up in the Eastside. They have a nice roasty espresso and a really nice selection of unique drinks. (They have a snickers espresso drink. SNICKERS..soo, yeah!) That being said, I'd have to say that my favorite drink here has got to be their basic hot chocolate. They have a phenomenal chocolatey mix that's not too sweet and is, miles beyond Starbucks'! Even their regular coffee is pleasantly balanced and toasty which is nice alternative if you want to keep it simple. Location specific stuff: This little coffee spot is conveniently located near the Whole Foods in Redmond. There's no drive thru but there's still just enough room to step in to get your beverage. The customer service is, severely, hit and miss, in my experience (resulting in this 3 star review.). For example, earlier today, the girl who made my drink made zero eye contact and completely ignored me when I thanked her; didn't even crack a smile. The employees range from super friendly to ice cold and I'm can't say I'm a big fan of the unpredictability; you never know what experience you're going to walk out with. Because of this, I'll, probably go elsewhere or stick to the Kirkland location. Pity. read more
