This is the 4th massage/spa place I have been to in the last couple of months, and I was able to achieve RELAXATION at this place. Breanna, worked the front desk, greeted me, gave me a tour of the place. I suppose it's from all my years having worked in the service industry that I've noticed that Breanna didn't know everything about Meridian Spa, but what made her exceptional was whatever she didn't know, she'd go and find the answer for me. I'll go into more detail about her in a bit. Once I changed into my robe and slippers in the locker room, I was greeted by Aileen for my 2hr Meridian Bliss massage. I addressed my problem areas with her and stressed that I didn't want her to talk to me unless it was regarding my massage. The only reason I said this is because my last couple of masseuses have been so chatty, I couldn't relaxed. She was very understanding of my needs. At first, I asked for deep tissue massage but Aileen's hands were freakishly strong, in a wonderful way and I told her to dial it back a bit and she did, and it was marvelous. As a masseuse, she was very intuitive and adjusted the pressure to fit my needs. I FINALLY became so relaxed I started humming, and I fell asleep for a bit and forgot where I was. When I came back to the spa, the only 2 women that were there were leaving, which meant I literally had to whole place to MYSELF! I took advantage of everything there; the rinsing showers, the jacuzzi, the cold plunge, jacuzzi back to the cold plunge, then to the steam room, then the sauna, topless and happy, then an actual relaxing shower, naked and happy. When I was done, I noticed I was still alone. I decided to treat myself to the room service for a late lunch at the Theatre Room. When I called to order, the phone rang for a loooong time, the bistro answered right when I was about to hang up. When they picked up, I told them I was calling from the spa. They put me on hold and then they transferred me to the front desk of the spa! I was confused. Front desk answered and I explained to the person on the other line about the awkward phone encounter. It was Breanna, she automatically said my name as soon as she recognized my voice. She went out of her way to call the bistro back with the spa phone so that I can order. I asked the person on the other line if they had "non-alcoholic" drinks as they did not appear on the menu. He said they did not. I was confused, so I passed on ordering a drink since I cannot drink alcohol. Then he asked me again if I wanted anything to drink, and I said no since there didn't seem to be non-alcoholic choices. Then he lets me know they have sodas so I let him know that sodas are non-alcoholic drinks. By far one of the weirdest phone orders I ever had to make. Breanna brought my food, I had an extra drink I didn't ask for and offered it to her. She had been so sweet. She also told me I had to pay the bistro as it's separate from the spa. I was cool with that, so we went back to my locker and what do you know? I FORGOT MY WALLET! It was in my car, with the valet, I started freaking out. Breanna, once again, comes to the rescue and figures something out. She paid for my meal so I would keep enjoying my spa experience. Go Breanna! I felt relaxed again, enjoyed Netflix, and took a nap. I would've been there longer, if I didn't have to feed my dog. Note* I ended up going to the valet, got my wallet and paid my tab. I asked valet if I can leave my car momentarily while I went upstairs to pay. They were so distrusting, they asked for my keys (after I already paid). It's like, where the hell would I go, the casino is far from the street for me to make a getaway and I am a disabled with a f*cking cane, where the hell would I go?! But whatever, I didn't care, I just found it kinda absurd. Now that I have discussed all the Glows (pros) of this place, below is my list of Growths (cons), which made me give this place 4 stars instead of 5: - The spa was short of toiletries, I suggest you bring your own. There were no brushes, just combs. I brought my own brush. -The toiletries that were available where mostly mens Gillette shaving cream. There was only one hair dryer. -I used a cane today, sometimes I use a wheelchair or a walker. The place didn't seem to be handicapped accessible. For example: There was no shower bench, I need to sit down sometimes when I shower. There wasn't a chair or a stool where I was able to apply body lotion and comfortably dry my hair. Sometimes, I can't stand for long periods of time and I found that a little frustrating. -No wi-fi -While I am so happy and satisfied about the massage. My appointment was at 12:45pm, for 2 hrs, so I calculated Aileen would be done around 2:45pm. However, when I was done, I noticed it was approximately 2:20pm. So when does massage time start? The minute I'm greeted? When I'm on the table? When the masseuse puts her hands on me? Massage was still worth it but I'm not totally sure I got my entire 2 hrs. read more

The front desk girl was a complete airhead. Didn't even know what time the facility is open until. She was very unsure while booking my apts & didn't clarify the times & spoke in a confusing manner. My facial & body scrub was amazing! My esthetician did a fantastic job! I would hear the front desk girl talking so loud when she came into spa area. The TV was blasting politics throughout the spa when I first walked In. Which is obviously not relaxing on Election Day. I was feeling sick & needed to eat something so I went to walk back to my room & while the front desk girl was on the phone with someone, she yells to me "you can't come back if you leave, there's no in and outs." I continued to go to my room to get a snack & when I came back I informed her she needs to be trained better & what she did was rude. I have a massage in 20 minutes and I'm the only one in the spa and you don't remember that? So I can't come back for my massage? Wtf? Her logic is skewed, not the sharpest one. This has by far been the worse Spa I have been too. We where a party of 4 all wanted facials they only have one gal doing facials so it took over two hours for all of us to be seen. The facial was the bare minimum and over priced $52 for 30mins with no extraction. The Spa offers a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There where no available towels for over an hour, the jacuzzi jets didn't work, the hot water ran out as soon as you got in the shower. The staff lacked professionalism. Their products where also very low end. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this Spa to anyone. read more

I came in for the Meridian beginning package today. Overall, it was a nice experience but there are certainly some room for improvements. The good: - beautiful decor and clean facility - friendly staff - you can order food from the hotel room service and pricing is not bad - Tatiana did my facial and it was amazinggggg. I think I passed out. ;) - sauna, steam room, soak tub, jacuzzi, theater room. All good! The bad: - my massage with Elbia was just ok. I upgraded and paid extra for the aromatherapy which the website states there are about 5 options. Elbia said there was only one. I pictured it would be be a room with scented candles and scented oil. All it was was three inhalations of some minty oil. Hmm. A bit let down here. I paid extra for this?! - heated massage table would be nice! When I was on my stomach.. And she pulled down the blanket, it was cold! Then she rubbed cold lotion all over me which made me even colderrrr! Not sooo relaxing. Plus I felt she spent a very long time with one technique. Basically elbowing my back for 20 minutes. Overall. Not Great. - invest in some plush robes and towels! You have such an upscale facility but robes and towels are super rough and thin. One of the towels I used still had a ton of orange residue ( likely from Orange vanilla scrub) indicating the towels were not washed properly. - remove the diarrhea sign next to jacuzzi. It's just not right. Put it in your forms or something but not while I'm trying to relax in the jacuzzi. Jacuzzi water also not hot enough. - just a suggestion but adding some cucumber or mint in your water jar would add a nice touch. It was also empty when I came and never filled by the time I left.. About 4 hours later. I literally had to tilt the jug to get some water from the melted ice! Had to get creative. Lol Overall, the facility is beautiful but there's definitely room for improvement. I'm on the fence on this one. Not sure if I'd come back. If changes are made.. I will definitely give it another shot! The end. read more

What a wonderful place! Tucked away on the second floor of the Commerce casino, this is a such a great oasis. Pulled up to the valet and purchased a car wash as well for only $20. Walked into the casino and the friendly security guards gave me directions to the spa. When you walk into the spa you would never guess it's inside a casino. I was greeted by a very helpful receptionist who quickly drew my milk bath for me and grabbed me a vanity fair. I ordered a bottle of champagne and they brought it over to my tub. Felt super spoiled. About an hour later my therapist came to get me for my 90 min massage. Oh man I was like puddy on that massage table. Just melted away and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. After my massage I went back to the spa and hung out in the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. Before I left I grabbed a nice hot shower. They have the best shower heads where you can choose from rainfall, mid level, chest level, or handheld. There was also a movie theatre room with roku and you can order room service! Must come back.......This place rocks. Can't say enough about it. Everyone is super nice and you can literally spend hours and hours there. read more

I came here last night just before the end of my vacation. Figured it would be nice to end on a high note. I used to come here often when I lived in LA. It used to be another spa. I was a little unsure about what to expect since I had a picture in my mind of what it used to be. Before, there were all korean massage therapists. They walked on your back and did amazing Asian style massages. Only draw back was that they didn't speak English. That taught me how important communication really is during a massage. After all, you should be comfortable and have basic needs met. Although, it would be nice to have a psychic massage therapist to intuit your every need... it's pretty unlikely. So, Eileen was the next best thing. She gave me a great massage. If i didn't have a facial appt immediately following the massage I would've extended it at least another 30 min. She was very thorough and able to do a full body massage in one hour (which is a lot harder than it sounds). She didn't shy away from my glutes, stomach or chest. Like most spas, you have to request for these areas to be included, and if you do, you won't regret it. Following my massage, I was so under the influence of her touch that I'm not sure if she walked beside me as I stumbled or if she carried me to my facial... probably we walked but who cares, it was awesome. I got to the facial all out of it, unfortunately I don't remember that practitioner's name because Eileen got to me first. I'm sorry about that. Especially because she was equally great at what she does. I have no idea what was included in the facial since I've only had one ever and I was kind of asleep through most of it. But, it felt great. There was some cleansing, steaming, good smelling stuff, cooling tingly gel stuff, a little pinching just for a moment on a couple trouble spots, a little electric magic wand thingy...and then the face massage. That was the best part. Maybe because I'm a massage junky. Or maybe because she found some muscles in my face I never knew I had. I felt like a million bucks afterwards. She gave me some advice about how to handle my trouble areas which I very much appreciated. I'm totally ignorant about skin, as I was blessed with a pretty good complexion. Overall, there's only 2 things about this spa: first, I would want to remove the sign next to the jacuzzi (without getting into too much detail) it says something to the effect of "don't enter the jacuzzi if you have diarrhea". As I sat in the middle of the jacuzzi, floating around cloud nine I saw that sign and I snapped out of it. my brain turned on and I started thinking, what prompted them to put that up? Who would do such a thing? Did somebody..... in here???? Oh sweet Jesus. Why? My sense of tranquility started fading away. The second thing I'd change is the theater room in the back. Wonderful experience at the Meridian Day Spa on Sunday. From front desk to my massage with Raphael it was awesome. Everyone was very helpful there. I actually spent a half day there (husband treated me while he was playing poker). The robes were very comfortable, facilities clean, locker was provided for my things. I went to the lounge to watch Netflix while waiting. Water was provided. Matcha Green tea, chamomile and also mint tea available. Raphael came to greet me for my massage. Incredibly nice and asked what were some things that needed to be worked on that were bothering me. Lower back has been hurting badly for a year and a half, right shoulder and neck. All due to an injury. Raphael worked out all of the problems I had and then showed me stretches to do as well to alleviate the pain in my lower back. After the massage Raphael brought me a glass of water to flush toxins. Everyone was super fabulous when I left. I would recommend a visit there. Thank you Meridian Day Spa. read more

I was especially blown away by their prices. $64 for a 1 hour swedish massage. For the same service and type of facility you can expect to pay in the rage of $130 anywhere else. We love coming here since it's usually good and close by. So we decided to come here for our wedding anniversary instead of driving to Glen Ivy. We are aware that this is not like other spas in the sense that it's not coed and we were ok with that cause again, we love it here and didn't want to make that long drive. But I wish they would've told us when we made our appointment that the men's jacuzzi and other area were not working and have not been working for quite some time. In fact, there is no estimated date of repair! Had we been informed, we would've cancelled our appointment. My husband was really looking forward to using the jacuzzi and talked about it often so it did put a damper on our day because since nothing was working in his area it's not like I could enjoy anything in the women's area knowing he was sitting on a chair waiting so we just showered and left. So even I was screwed and it was our anniversary and much needed day of relaxation. I think that if their facilities are not fully operational they should inform guests when making appointments because you come here for more than just a massage. There was two girls at the front desk and they said they would have to double check but they didn't think it would be a problem to have him go to the women's side since they literally had no other appointments for the entire day!!! So after our massages we went back downstairs to check on that and those girls were no longer there, of course. And the new girl that was there had no idea who was there 2 hours before. She checked and of course they said no because they are two different spas. I never knew that men's and women were different spas. We got a 15% discount but money wasn't the issue here. My daughter took me here for my Birthday... what started out as a very nice day turned into a nightmare of a spa day the massage was A 2 hour massage OMG excellent absolutely relaxing! after the massage I take a wonderful bath a relaxing bath salts... my daughter is in the tub next to me a frosted wall separates us but we're talking to each other and laughing and having a good time taking selfie's sending messages laughing...then we get out of the tub and going take a shower I take my white robe off that they supplied me with,...I put my cell phone in the pocket of the robe and throw the robe over my shower door, and I shower, after the shower I put my robe on and immediately find that my phone is missing???... I start yelling across the shower room "who's out there"..." who took my phone?"..." Somebody took my phone!" I run out of there and I asked "who was in the shower"...somebody came in here right now and took my phone! the only one there is a manager named "Donna" she says nobody was in there she states she just got here?? I say look on the close circuit TV and see who's in the shower area?... she tells me there is no TV or surveillance back there...which makes sense it should be private...so I asked then Who was back there? she says no one...I say well somebody was back there cause I they just stole my phone out of my robe pocket... at that point I turn around go get my clothes and get dressed meanwhile I'm having a fit because my phone is missing my granddaughter has an idea let's just trace it so as everybody's gathered around including the manager we mention that we are going to trace it right now... The manager walks away from us proceeds into the shower room my granddaughter follows her and watches as she throws the phone into the shower and explains oh look what I found!... the manger stold my phone...So we went to the security office there in the casino and explain to them the situation they told us that this salon or spa is "privately owned"not by the Casinos and that I needed to take it up with them unfortunately nothing was done because the manager who we reported to stole the phone from ? She was not going to help me...yes there were damages because the phone was thrown in the water... Great first time ! Definitely a great first experience . My therapist Aileen was amazing! I'm not big on therapists talking to me during a service so the fact that Aileen respected that was amazing . She made sure to go over any specific areas I needed work on before service . She made me feel so comfortable and the massage was definitely one of the bests I've had . The only reasons I didn't give it a full 5 is because despite my therapist being so welcoming , the front desk definitely lacked. Upon check in , I was greeted by 2 female attendants that made me feel as if I had interrupted their personal conversation. I was handed a bag with robe and slippers and was just verbally told where everything was ... if I say it's my first time there , an actual guided tour would've been thoughtful . Upon check out , the same attendant had her feet up on the chair next to her as well as was on her phone. Not the best perception to give clients. I'll definitely be back and hope maybe this might change. Also maybe cold towels near the steam room and fruit in the theater room would be a great touch ! read more

Called a few days before arrival to confirm pricing and hours. Got here and basically had to valet ($2) because there was no where to self-park. Got to the spa only to find their steam room was out. Was that something I should have been informed of on the phone? Absolutely. Was the shift manager gracious about it? Absolutely not. We had to raise a bit of a stink (coming in AND leaving) before he FINALLY offered us a couple free return passes. But I think from a customer service stand point, he should've handled it much better upfront, immediately offering a discounted rate or service, knowing I called ahead. Instead he just stuck with "the sign is right here, I'm telling you ahead of time." Once we did go in, no one pointed out where to go and there are no signs so we finally find the locker room (right side). Robes and sandals available in the lockers (flimsy at best). Lockers seemed very secure, though, so that's good. Head over to the spa area and the jacuzzi is nice. At first. Then all of a sudden on my friend's side the jets started going cray-cray, bubbling up extra high while others shut off completely. It was so weird. We alerted an employee (and later told the same shift mgr who seemed less than surprised). The sauna was a sauna. The showers, I liked. Multiple water sources and a handheld for a luxurious experience. About the only luxurious part of the place. We did not get massages or facials as we came fairly late in the evening (maybe 8:30/9pm?) OH! And I forgot to mention, in addition to not finding out until we got there that the steam room was broken, we also arrive to find they decided to close 30 mins early! We showed up later in the evening and this just shortened the time we had to unwind even further. Again, I CALLED EARLIER IN THE WEEK to confirm hours of operation. I was never informed of any early closing. They offer free ice water. -_- So, to sum up my review, I think this spa is not well managed but it is more affordable than, say, Burke Williams. I'll be back to use my free visit but I will also be taking a trip to BW to see if it's worth spending a little more for a substantially more relaxing experience. We came towards the end of the day, I get that, but there was just 0 welcoming atmosphere or attention/assistance from employees. I more or less felt like I was just in the way of them closing and you should NOT make a paying customer feel that way, no matter how close to closing they stay. There are many wonderful things about this day spa as well as areas that are lacking, hence the 3 star review. STAFF: GREAT!!! If I had to review the staff only, I would give 5+ stars. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly, the facial esthetician and masseuse I had were also wonderful. They were always professional and skilled at their jobs. Very relaxing. AMBIANCE: This day spa is beautiful. Well decorated and appointed. A few things that I look for in a 5 star day spa.....ROBES: need to be upgraded. They were thin waffle type robes that were itchy and uncomfortable. TOWELS: Also need to be upgraded, they were thin, some were torn or with holes. There should also be wash cloths available for showering. Other items that should be available: disposable hair brushes (or ones that can be sanitized), hair ties, additional hair dryers (there was only one), hair products (hair spray, gel, mousse). Otherwise, everything else was there and available. I was disappointed that the "Movie room" was not working. It was one of the areas that I was looking forward to enjoying during my visit. There was also quite a bit of construction going on at the Hotel/Casino on the outside, but I understand this has nothing to do with the Day Spa areas. Another area for improvement: the facial room should have its own sink. The esthetician had to keep leaving the room to rinse out bowls or get clean water. Overall, a great experience for the price. If you want a spa feel without the trek to Glenn Ivey then this place would work for you. Complimentary locker robe and slipper service. Their women's locker room features a quiet room, jacuzzi, cold plunge, steam room, sauna room, private mineral baths, a movie theater, and the best invention Ive ever known a Vichy Shower! I was pleased with the location and the services. Purchased a Groupon after reading the Yelp Reviews. This place is affordable with or with out a groupon. Each massage comes with a complimentary spa pass for four hours which entitles you to use all the stuff I previously mentioned. The mineral bath is an additional $10 bucks and when I return in September I will have more info on the Vichy shower as I have every intention on booking a session. Facilities that offer a Vichy shower are few and far between so I look forward to adding that to my treatment. I definitely left relaxed and it gave me the sense of relaxation I needed from a spa. The flow of traffic worked nicely, there wasn't an overwhelming amount of people in the spa facilities. I can't wait to return and bring along some folks with me! We came to this spa for my birthday this past weekend and the reason for the 5 stars is mostly because of the great customer service we received from Reyna. She was extremely nice and helpful and ready to make our experience the best we can possibly have. The spa offers many services but we just wanted to enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi which we most definitely did as we had it all to ourself. Horrible place nothing is sterilized as properly as suppose to be.. I seen the employees just wiping down the bath tubs with a towel and no proper sterilized cleaners!!!! gross don't waist your money! water containers aren't even washed everyday seen the same dirt mark the second time I went "DON'T DRINK THE WATER'...! My husband said he saw the "Supervisor" ""BEN"" laying in the Netflix room instead of cleaning SMH.... How responsible is that. Came here for my first time on an awesome Travelzoo deal last night. $79 for an hour facial and hour massage. The esthetician A, was amazing. I'm usually hesitant when it comes to facials because my skin is so sensitive and in the past facials (not at meridian )I've had, I feel like my skin looks more irritated than anything else, but my skin felt amazing after and definitely not irritated. Her touch was on point and I actually caught myself falling asleep a few times. I dont usually like people touching my face, which is why i dont particularly care for facials, but i have to say i would definitely do it again with her. The massage therapist was good, a little too gentle at times but after i told her to go a little stronger it was all good. Overall i would definitely come again, in fact, they offered a 30% off deal if I booked another appointment to come back so I couldnt pass that up. I booked the $98 package, and after the 30%off, I paid $69. #WhatTheWhat It's also conveniently located next to the Citadel outlets so after a day of walking and shopping, it's the perfect place to end the day. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden away Oasis . One of the most luxurious experiences at a day spa I've had in awhile. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was clean and absolutely Fabulous. Received a gift for a 60 Minute massage to this day spa for a Mother's Day and was not disappointed. The massage was great, also added on a milk bath and absolutely melted in relaxation!! They had large vintage tubs sectioned off personalized areas . All of the amenities are clean and set to the right temperature. The quiet room is beautifully decorated and comfortable and relaxing. Will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Meridian day spa is by far one of the best spas I've been to, EVER!!!!! Like alot of other reviews have stated they literally have it all. It was an amazing day spent there. I came in for a 10:30am one hour massage with aromatherapy oils, it was AMAZING!!!! The masseuse recommended to me that I hit the suana, steam room then get a cold shower! I did all that but before my shower I discovered they have these beautiful free standing tubs so of course I took a 40 min soak. The spa is located on the hotel side of the casino, on the second floor; in case there is any confusion! I will for sure be coming back and treating my mother! I've been here a couple times for facials and massages, the facial and massages here's great however the reception persons very rude and make me feel unwelcomed. If would rate the massage and the facial I'd give a four or five star but the front desk I'd give 0 or negative star if I could. It is such a nice facility and the service here is pricey, I don't believe the reception service match up to it at all, people shouldn't feel like what I feel every time, the front desk people look like they hate their jobs and they clearly let me know about it by the way that they're treating me. Today before I went into the massage I had asked her if I could charge my phone, left my phone with her and when I came out it wasn't charging at all and the battery level was still the same, she didn't say anything it was like nothing ever happened. Great atmosphere, especially if you go during the week and it's quiet. Steam room, jacuzzi, quiet room, very nice. Solid massage.

This place is beautiful place...almost doesn't belong at this location. Everything was great, with the exception of our tour. We asked the young lady up in the front if she could give us a tour, which she did. We asked questions and she had no answers. She was nice, but not very knowledgeable. That is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. The media room was awesome. I've never been to a spa with a media room. This place really is a hidden gem. read more

This spa is nice, clean, and has the necessities: hot tub, cold water pool, wet and dry sauna. There's showers and interestingly, private bath tubs. I'm a little unsure of the bath tubs, since soaking in a tub after someone else has...hmm...not so much my cup of tea. The jacuzzi was pretty damn hot I must say. I think it's gotta be the hottest I've ever gone into and took several minutes for me to even sit down due to the temperature. My friend and I could both barely take the heat. Maybe they should check the temperature once in a while because it was pretty uncomfortable. Not unbearable, just uncomfortable. It's nice they have the cold water pool. I've been to other spas that have this with instructions on the best way to alternate between the hot and cold to improve blood flow but there weren't any signs here. Would have been helpful. The dry and wet saunas are a good size to lay back and relax. There's also a quiet room to lay down or meditate and a media room to chill and watch TV. I didn't do any of the private treatments but would come back to try it. One thing that would be nice to have there is the machine that rings out your bathing suit. Leaving with a soaked suit isn't fun! But overall this place is nice and decent priced for entrance only. Too bad they don't have a membership package, I'd likely consider it. read more

Bought a gift card here for my girlfriend, price was very good and the place is gorgeous. Nice furniture in the main lobby to hang out, staff is friendly, girlfriend said the massage was awesome and would recommend. Good thing about this place is you can bring you girl here for a message and you can go downstairs to the casino or bar. read more

I had the pleasure of receiving a facial by Tatiana. She is excellent ! She takes the time to make sure you are comfortable. I left feeling great and it showed in how glowing my face was the next day. I will definitely be recommending her to my friends and family. She also does lash extensions for a great price !!!
