Delicious coffee from a shop with such a beautiful, clean and open interior. If I was local to Dallas, I would definitely come here to do work or catch up with a friend. With almost all glass windows & high ceiling, this shop is flooded with natural lighting - so beautiful. Not to mention, the iced latte is definitely one of the best I've ever had. So rich & creamy and you can add your own sweetness with their honey or simple syrup to make it just the perfect sweetness you like. (Highly recommend the honey simple syrup!) Also I tried both the decaf & regular latte and they taste exactly the same so if you're trying to avoid caffeine and are just there for the delicious taste, the decaf is still just as good! read more

The Dallas Yelp Community Manager, Semhar H, recommended this spot during my stay here and I'm so glad she did! It was the perfect place to kill an hour and just relax for a bit during a very active few days. The place is so bright, clean, modern, and inviting. The staff were super friendly too. The vibrant sign for their strawberry matcha latte immediately caught my attention so it was a no brainer. I got it with almond milk and it was delicious (and over far too soon). At this point in the day, my phone was almost dead so luckily they have quite a few outlets for people to use. The coffee shop is very quiet and looked mostly to be used by people working silently on their laptops (they have great wifi here). Definitely recommend this Deep Ellum coffee shop. read more

We checked out Merit Coffee on a Saturday morning but "early" before it got busy. The spot itself is beautiful. The inside is open and airy. I love the colors and the green brought in with plants. I thought there was plenty of seating. It definitely had a coffee shop vibe-- some people were talking, some working, some reading. It wasn't too loud or anything so perfect spot for whatever you may need to do. I loved it. Both my gf and I enjoyed the coffees we ordered. I had a blueberry muffin that was good and my gf had a kolache that she loved. Will definitely stop by again when in Deep Ellum. read more

Love this cool and happenin spot in Deep Ellum to chill, have a caffeinated drink. The space is very open with seating all along however, we almost couldn't find a spot on a sunday afternoon. I really enjoyed my iced chai latte (this was right before the arctic blast we experienced) and my kiddos loved getting the kid's hot chocolate. We also ordered two chocolate macarons and we loved that the lady helping us went through hoops to get them for us! The kids loved the taste but they were just a little too sticky! This is a great spot to hang after walking around Deep Ellum. My kids had a nice pokemon battle going on. read more

Just stopped in for a quick double-espresso pick me up after day-drinking in a hot n sunny Friday afternoon. Luved the decor and vibe here as it is very Deep Ellum. Prices are on point for the area w/surprisingly decent espresso shot pricing. The staff was super nice and they looked like they had an interesting array of baked goods (including what looked like a house-made poptart). My only disappointment was w/the one thing I came in for...my espresso was way too acidic and tasted burnt. Hoping this was a one off as they looked like a place that should have mind-blowing espresso, but this was just not good. Will give them another "shot" (see what I did there?) next time I'm in the area and mayhaps try a poptart. read more

On a whim, I drove to Deep Ellum for a few hours. Not sure what to expect or what was even out here, I stumbled across this gem of a coffee shop. The barista on duty was super-helpful. I ordered a small cup of drip Honduran coffee. Usually not a fan of Honduran coffee, but this one was actually quite delicious. The barista also recommended a few places to eat, which I definitely took under advisement. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come here. read more

This is one of my top coffee shops in Dallas! It's so bright and airy with a beautiful assortment of plants to add to the overall atmosphere. There's some seating outside for those rare days that are nice and not too hot, and lots of comfortable seating inside. There were enough plugs nearby for me to charge my computer (which was much needed). I really enjoyed the coffee here as well! The cold brew was strong--perfect for any caffeine addict. I also got the lavender latte, which had a great balance of lavender and sugar. All in all, a great spot to study or to grab a tasty drink! read more

Magnificent coffee! The coffee is delicious because the staff are passionate about their craft. My friend is a coffee connoisseur from Australia. He was extremely happy with the espresso machines and set up of this joint. I have to say that I was happy with the latte and learned something new about coffee. Such a great edition to Deep Ellum! I've been coffee shop hunting all over Dallas and I really enjoyed this one. They really care about quality here. I got an iced latte with oat milk (my new obsession) and it was delicious. The vibe here is very laid back. I'd say it's more of a hang out spot than a study spot though, as it has more couches than tables! I'm a student so I'll definitely come back here to hang out, but probably not to get any work done! The lighting in here is also fantastic and the ceilings are super high; it makes it seem bigger than it is. Overall very high quality coffee and a cool spot to hang out in Deep Ellum! read more

My 16oz iced latte with oat milk was $7.98 which.... was hard to stomach, quite honestly! Supposed to have four shots but it was pale white and tasted only like oat milk. I worked as a barista for many years and get this order regularly at other cafes, so I knew it was just off. The latte was made hot although the receipt/order was for an iced latte. Brought this to the barista's attention and they looked at the receipt and "hmm-ed" for a full minute before offering to remake it. Then stepped behind the counter and said something to their fellow barista who immediately looked at me and literally looked me up and down... There just have to be better options if you're going to spend $8 on a coffee. read more

Ok so I decided to stop by for a quick bite + a pick-me-up before heading to my tattoo appointment. Please note that the 4 star rating is for the Iced Matcha latte and the -1 star is for the "Dallas Eats" food options I purchased. I got the iced matcha latte and ordered a Taco Deli breakfast taco + a cup of the churro 'health bomz' The iced matcha latte was GOOD but the breakfast taco??? bruh the tortilla was soggy, stuck to the aluminum foil, and had the consistency of paste. Don't even get me started on the health bomz, i literally had to down it with my iced matcha latte just to get it out of my throat. It was heavy on the almond butter and did NOT taste like a churro. read more

Tried Merit coffee for the first time at the Deep Ellum location. They roar their beans and have several single origins which I liked. Tried the cold coffee with Ube foam and loved it. I am a plain coffee drinker (cappuccino is fancy) but had to try this one because I love ube. This drink was great . Yummy but not too sweet. Highly recommend. The coffee in general is on the light side in my opinion. Good if you are into light brews. Ambience - Inside is a little basic. Furniture not too comfy. Also outdoor seating. The Merit coffee is some of the best in Dallas, especially their natural cold brew. The place is really cute and has plenty of outlets and seating. The Deep Ellum location is not as nice to park at and a bit more crowded than their other location, but still a nice place to sit if you're already in the area. read more

So good! I've been stopping in nearly every day during my Dallas visit for an iced berry cobbler matcha with oat milk. Delicious and not too sweet but just enough! Such a unique drink I haven't ever had anywhere else -- I'm going to miss it when I leave. Also tried a spiced maple latte one day and it didn't really taste different from a regular latte? It was busy so maybe they got my order mixed up but overall I do appreciate the balance of flavor. Really friendly staff and a good quiet workspace. I'm no matcha connoisseur, but this is probably one of the worst matcha lattes I've had. I asked for hot, and it was lukewarm.
