This office has clearly gone downhill and feels like a completely different place compared to what you would expect from a professional dental practice. The level of care, professionalism, and basic patient respect was unacceptable. My son came in with a painful tooth, and instead of examining him, the staff immediately questioned us and brought in multiple people, including the office manager and the dentist, Jackie. The situation felt confrontational from the start. The dentist Jackie refused to even look at my son's tooth and pointed out the time (4:45 PM) as if that justified not providing care. At no point did she perform a proper examination, which is the bare minimum at any dental visit--especially when a child is in pain. She also gave incorrect information about which tooth was affected, identifying it as tooth #20. We later determined ourselves that the issue was actually between teeth #17 and #18. This lack of attention and accuracy is extremely concerning. When I asked for help and clarification, the response was defensive and dismissive. I requested my son's dental records and instead felt rushed out, as if we were being escorted out rather than helped. The entire atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable, with multiple staff members surrounding us instead of focusing on patient care. For a pediatric dental setting, this is completely unacceptable. There is only one pediatric dentist at this office, and based on our experience, I would not trust them with my child's care. If your child is in pain and needs proper attention, do not come here. Go somewhere else where your child will actually be examined and treated with care and respect.

We…read morediscovered a tooth infection on Friday night and Dr. G and her staff spoke with me multiple times over the weekend to get my son the meds he needed and make sure he was ok. After an office visit it was determined he needed a tooth extraction, and Dr. G sent us to an amazing oral surgeon (Dr. Sang Y Kim) who extracted it same day with her referral. To have this kind of care made me feel so much more at ease as a parent. I can't say enough about how much I love this pediatric dental practice.

A local mom's group had recommend Dr. Weil and Dr. Cabel for anxious kiddos and I could not be more thankful for their recommendation. Prior to the appointment the patient care coordinator listened to my concerns, assigned my daughter to an experienced technician, and made sure to remind staff of our situation before we even walked in. Ashlee, the hygienist was AMAZING at making sure my daughter feel at ease before she even sat down. She chatted with her the entire time, explained everything that she was doing, and changed course as needed. Not only did my daughter allow her to clean her teeth, she allowed her to use the electronic toothbrush, scale her teeth, floss, AND take pictures. Dr. Cabel saw my daughter and was very personable and I loved how she had a wait and see approach to my daughter's dental health. I thought my old dentist was great, but after seeing the patience and amazing bedside manner at this practice, I am realizing they are at a whole other level. My old dentist had fancy futuristic private rooms, tvs on the ceiling, and a video game lobby. This place is nothing like that -- in fact it reminds me a lot of the dentist I used to go to as a kid. That being said, the warmness, professionalism, and years of experience at this practice by far exceeds any fancy office. My daughter left the dentist with a genuine smile and I can tell you that has not happened since she was a baby. Thank you team!

I have three children that I bring to Dr. Weil, and I also was a patient myself as a child. I am very disappointed to find that it is not possible to schedule an appointment for my 6 year old after 12:00. As a working parent I am unable to take off work to take my child to a dental appointment. I have always scheduled appointments later in the day for my 8 year old and 10 year old. I am unsure why I can schedule an appointment at 3: 30/4:00 for my 8 year old but not for my 6 year old. I am so disappointed that I am no longer able to take my children here based on this rule and my work schedule.

While I had seen the bad reviews of Oasis Dental, we had always brought our son, we liked Dr…read more Phaeton, and we'd never had a problem, so we always came here -- even though we live in DC, a 30 minute drive away. This morning I found out what everyone else was talking about -- and am transferring our records away from Oasis. We won't go back. Our appointment was at 8:30 AM. We arrived at 8:11 AM and walked to the door with an employee who said "I have to go in the staff door. I'll just walk around and let you in." Instead, she completely forgot about us, leaving my 5-year-old son and me just sitting on the hallway floor waiting. When my son told me he needed the bathroom, I had to knock on the staff door just to get someone to hand me a key to the locked hallway bathroom -- which they initially were reluctant to do (!). When the clinic door finally opened at 8:26 AM, I saw the employee who had told us she'd let us in, and asked why she didn't either let us in or at least tell us that she couldn't do it. She hemmed and hawed and said nothing. No apology. Nothing like "you're right, I should have told you. I just got so busy that I forgot. I'm sorry about that." Nothing. The receptionist then asked me "what do you want me to say?" When I said "you could start with a simple apology for treating us inconsiderately", she literally shrugged her shoulders, and said nothing. I asked if they would rather lose a patient than offer a basic apology, and she stared at me in silence. The lack of empathy and basic courtesy from this staff is mind-boggling. Avoid this place if you value good care and customer service.
