Dr. Diamantis extracted my wisdom teeth, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. He is incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cares about his patients. He went out of his way to come back and pack one of my gum holes after the office was already closed, right before a big storm. His level of dedication is rare and so appreciated. I had an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Trowbridge for an exam on a tooth extraction and implant. I was excited to meet him since he was highly recommended and had great online reviews. When he came into the room he barely shook my hand, he barely said two words to me then looked at my xray. He pointed out the number of cavities I had filled which was unnecessary. He was rude and cold. I cancelled my surgery soon after I found another surgeon that introduced himself, made me feel like he was happy to help me, and sat me down where we both looked at my xrays, he listened to my thoughts and then talked about the best treatment plan for me. I think Dr. Trowbridge needs to dig deep into how to make new patients feel comfortable and feel like their needs matter instead of making someone feel like there just another body in a chair. Time to retire. I will add the office staff and assistants were great. 5 stars for them. read more

Being referred to an oral surgeon for yourself is stressful enough. Being referred for your child...that is very stressful. I was referred by Kangaroo Smiles for my son's extraction. I begged for him to be seen in the pediatric office, since they are amazing with children. The pediatric dentist assured us that this was a case for a the oral surgeon. We are so grateful for the referral. From the initial scheduling phone call, to the visit in the office, the entire staff was so warm and welcoming. Dr. Diamantis is GREAT! My son had his wisdom teeth taken out, he was lucky no swelling and minimal pain controlled with Motrin and Tylenol. I had gone to my regular dentist .... Diagnosed with infected wisdom tooth . What complicated it was recent heart attack and blood thinners . So oral surgeon was recommended. This place was recommended by my dentist and I can see why . It was out of network for my insurance so I went to another oral surgeon for an evaluation. . What caused me to seek out lowell oral surgery was the in network local oral surgeon I first went to did not take the original dentist X-ray .. they proceeded to take a full scan of my mouth . I found it odd. .. and just unnecessary and a charge that was unnecessary. I had a 3 minute if that consult and out I went . Very uncomfortable . I then made an appointment at Lowell Oral Surgery .. what a difference ., they got the X-ray of the one tooth from my original dentist . Dr Towbridge was amazing and very comforting.. he did awesome job and did just what was needed. Blood thinners and tooth extraction can be stressful as you bleed . He was great and even called me on a Saturday to make sure I was ok. I highly recommend this place . So bottom line as far as costs . Other oral surgeon facility .. unnecessary full scan, eval .. vs .. Lowell Oral surgery with eval , anesthesia , tooth extraction.. a $20 difference. read more

My brother and I were both referred here for our surgeries. We were in tremendous care by Dr. Hornung. He removed 4 of my wisdom teeth and I am recovering very well. Dr. Hornung is extremely professional he even called me that very night to see how I was doing -- this was extremely shocking because I did not think a dentist would be so personable! I have worked in the dental field for over 20 years and have heard wonderful comments about LOS. Last Friday I experienced first hand the compassionate care given by the staff at LOS. The staff is professional, patient and helpful with all aspects of the appt. from scheduling the appt to insurance. The assistants to Dr. D. were kind and had a warm sense of humor that help my son feel comfortable. thank you. Dr. D, is a warm and caring individual and I am grateful for his kindness and generosity. He called on Sat. to check on my son's overall well being, this surprised me being a weekend. Dr. D. you are a wonderful human being that I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet, my son agrees. He is not afraid to have his "wisdom teeth" removed "as long as Dr. D. does it", so see you in a few years. Friendly staff, but when it comes to pain or after care they do not follow through or help other than trying to get you in and get more money out of you and insurance. He told me to use the medicines of my referring dentist (which seems wrong because I wasn't even sure I could remember what meds I was given by my original dentist or if I knew the right names of them)...the whole situation was bizarre... I had two upper wisdom teeth removed past fall at 33 Bartlett St with Dr. Maher Jandali Rifai. The appointment was scheduled a bit after 12 pm. I called in the morning on the day of the appointment to see if they want me to come in earlier. They didn't, so we stayed with the initial plan. When I came there 30 mins before, as they told me to I was given some meds( the common pre-dental procedure) and was told to go back to the waiting room and wait until I am called. I was waiting for an hour before I started to ask questions why nobody was coming after me. To what they told me that they had a few people who called out and now they were very behind. I was very upset because nobody told me that information neither when I called earlier during the day or when I came to the place for the appointment. Secretary Nancy was with me on the phone when I called. I was wondering, why she didn't mention that it was not just impossible to do the surgery a bit earlier but I would have to wait for a long time? So I ended up waiting more than 2 hours. What a waste of my time. They were telling me to reschedule. However, once you plan your schedule and get a day off from work to sleep over the first day after the extraction I wasn't so sure that I would be able to get the needed day off again. So I ended up waiting and finally getting the two teeth pulled out. Dr. Jandali was ok. I didn't hear him apologizing for this wait or anything like that. As if that is how the business works. Also, I felt pretty rushed after I got the teeth pulled out. I had to rearrange the ride because, the initial person, who was supposed to drive me home, went to work but they kept asking me when that person arrives. The day of the follow-up it was a fast visit. I know Dr. Jandali probably pulls out wisdom teeth all day and doesn't remember his patients. However. on the day of the follow-up, I asked him a question about those two wisdom teeth because one of the extraction sites was much bigger and more uncomfortable than the other. I asked if the tooth was bigger or somehow strangely positioned. To which Dr. Jandali said " may be. Well, for making about 2000$ in 30 minutes of me it would be appreciated to have a better and more involved answer than just " Maybe". read more

It's okay. The people are nice and seem very competent. But I had an implant done here and it took forever with many, many pre-op and follow-up visits where I had to take time off from work to get there, wait 20 minutes (the waiting room TV shows dental infomercials over and over), and then be seen for about 1 minute with "looking good, let's see how it is in another month". I had to specifically ask if some pre-op reasons for seeing me could be combined into a single visit (they could be). read more

I was there 2/20/17. I will tell you one thing. I hate the dentist period. I went there my insurance was messed up, they fixed it. I needed a tooth pulled and they were so nice. They actually kept my mind off the reason I was there. Before I knew it doctor said it's out. I was like what. Tapped me on shoulder said it's out. The absolute nicest people in that office. If you need anything done. That's the place. Leaving there the receptionist had to bill me but said she's doing the paperwork for the insurance to reimburse me my money. Don't worry about that.
