They and their staff provided a comforting, personalized wake at the West Seneca location. My husband, who was a Viet Nam vet and later went on to work at and retire from VA in Buffalo, had what I'm sure he would have loved. The veteran and national honor provided was wonderful. I mentioned(and others agreed) that this was the perfect place for him to be remembered. The staff took care of everything down to the smallest detail to make this difficult time manageable and as stress free as was possible under the circumstances. They made sure every detail was done to our satisfaction and answered any questions we may have had. They offered advice and suggestions when requested, and we were unsure as to what to do but never pushed anything on us . Planning the final remembrance for a loved one is never easy but Lakeside showed compassion and professionalism throughout the entire time. From coordinating church service, military honors with flag presentation and a bronze plaque at his gravesite for Veterans to the flowers on my father's casket (gorgeous white lilies and ranunculus) it was beautiful and understated. Our family didn't feel rushed or pressured at the wake or the service and burial.
