Please stay away from this spa!!! Updated: I have irritant contact dermatitis and cutaneous trauma from the facial I received - per my dermatologist. I also requested a full refund which they said they would. Hey guys I just want to share my terrible experiences that I have suffered from Merum Face Bar on Watters Creek, Allen. I came in on Friday for a relaxing facial massage which supposed to be gentle - no harsh chemical peel or laser. During the facial, I did notice a burning sensation on my face so I immediately told her and she took the pumpkin enzyme off and it calmed down. It was over an hour facial and they should have noticed my irritation during the process and could have stopped the facial. I also communicated with them clearly about my skin type and the products I have been using. I have combination/oily skin and my skin is not sensitive at all. I never had any allergic reaction to any skin care products I have bought from Sephora/Spa/Clinic etc in my whole life. I also get facial at different spas once in a while but this never happened before. Now they are telling me to seek professional help as there is not much they can do. I am traumatized looking at my face right now. I could not see a dermatologist on the weekend and still do not know if anyone can squeeze me in next week so my anxiety is crazy right now.... Also, They don't even offer me any post facial cream to help with the irritation. No offer to issue a full refund on this traumatized experiences. I discovered this little spot about 3 months ago when I decided to get my skin prepped for my wedding. My first appointment was with Yusefa. (She works Wednesday-Sunday if my memory serves correctly) from my first appointment to today she has always treated my skin with care and was very sweet in conversation. She has a life long client of me. Today she gave me my final facial before my wedding and I have never felt more confident rocking my natural face. Had a pleasure of experiencing amazing time at Merum Face Bar while visiting Dallas! It is situated conveniently right in the shopping area. Making appointment was easy, welcomed by warm smiles by esthetician, and facial was just amazing! Parking was easy. I was able to find parking right in front of the spa. Walked into the spa not sure what my experience will be like, but the spa welcomed me with friendly staff, calm sound of water fountain that situated in the middle of the spa, relaxing music and scent. I was then brought into a treatment room where all outside sounds are shut off. Complete relaxing environment with amazing treatment. Esthetician quickly run through questions about my skin situation including concerned area I may have and then evaluated my skin. Explained what she saw and offered what she thought was suitable for my skin. During treatment, she utilized the time with no waste; massaged arms, hands, neck, and head while putting on masks which was so relaxing. Offered final consultation while finishing up but never tried to sell anything to me but to advise what my skin might need. After getting a blissful glow facial here I will no longer be going anywhere else! Look no further because the service, products, and quality are unmatched and I will definitely be coming back to get another facial! My face has never felt so soft and I looked like I was literally glowing afterwards. My confidence was at an all time high walking out of Merum face bar! My experience I booked with Chae and she has the hands of an angel. I've never had a more relaxing time and will be requesting her for future services. I've rarely encountered such amazing service. I was kindly greeted the moment I opened the door, filled out some digital paperwork, and was takin to one of their private rooms. It was so peaceful with the relaxing music that I almost fell asleep! She proceeded through the facial making sure I was as comfortable as possible throughout the entire experience. Came here a year ago as a birthday surprise and treated myself this year for my birthday. Space is clean/quiet/relaxing. I liked that the let me express any concerns prior to starting and after a double cleanse discussed what she saw in my skin. I have very sensitive/dry/eczema prone skin and sometimes it can get irritated with just water. All the selected treatments were great/hydration and most importantly did not make my skin hurt/feel super tight. I loved that they didn't pressure into buying products but left an open discussion on what I could do to help my skin. I am very satisfied with my services and look forward to either joining as a member or treating myself every now and then. Only downside to this place is the parking. The area can get very busy. Merum face bar is very clean and staff is very friendly. I had the balancing act facial and the experience is amazing. The esthetician was very tentative and explained along the way what she was about to do. I also had " Gua Sha" as an add-on service which helps to detox. I was so exhausted when I booked my appointment & I left with a plump fresh face feeling on top of the world. Darian knows all about skin care and made my first time so relaxing. Best facial ever! I went to the beautiful and relaxing Merum Face Bar for the first time today, and it was amazing. I had the Balancing Act, Enzyme Peel + LED Light, 50 min for $85. Kayla worked with my sensitive skin. I had concerns about any chemicals or exfoliates, but this place uses all natural ingredients-and my face feels so much better than it has before.
