My first time here and probably the last one; Me and my wife sat outside since the sun was down already. I asked my server if every plate from the tacos list, coming with four tacos. He said yes. I love mexican food so i ordered two different ones, just for him to bring me a plate with only two tacos and a small side of rice and a smaller side of salad. When I told him about it, he insist that he said it's coming with two tacos, which is not true. Not impressed at all since nobody offered us water either, when the rest four tables outside, all of them had water on their table. The server asked me if I want another beer but other than that, never checked on us if we want anything else or if we like the food. Wow, can I just say Wow! I've been here a couple of years ago when this place first opened and it was "okay" but nothing special. I don't know if the menu has expanded, I hit on an off night before, or they have hired new people. I don't expect too much from shopping center food and have had some dreadful experiences at Clearfork but please if you've tried it before and left underwhelmed, please give this place another try 1st Nachos Conocodes is an amazing starter that could have been my entire meal and I'd give them 5 stars. The Asada tacos were light the corn tortillas as good as most homemade and the seasoning was perfect. The pollo Y Tomatillo is possibly the best I've ever had in Fort Worth. One person who wasn't a huge Mexican food lover enjoyed the Hollywood conn salad and it actually looked great. My hubby is pretty traditional so he had combination 4 and agreed it was WAY above his expectations. Our server was right there when we need him and did t bother us as we talked and enjoyed the incredible margaritas. I'm getting hungry to go back just writing this. Our first (and only) experience at Mecero... 7/21 at 6pm reservation for 6. Showed up on time, seated immediately, ordered drinks and appetizers. Then dinner. Food was good. I give it 8 out of 10. Server was decent (7 out of 10). At approx. 7:30, a guy dressed like a chef comes over and says "Can I get you anything else?" We said we were fine. Then he says "We have a lot of people waiting for tables...". In other words, if you're not going to spend any more money, please leave. I'm 62 years old. We eat out almost every night (and have for 30 years). Del Friscos or Taco Bell. That has NEVER happened to us before. If you eat here, evidently you are in the clock. Yum! I went here with some girlfriends for a lunch meet up and we all enjoyed our meals. The server was polite and friendly. The restaurant was very pretty with the design, I can see this being a great spot for par I ordered the brisket tacos and the meet was very tender. The guac was fantastic. Very fresh. The location is high class and the open concept kitchen is one of my favorites. One of the two drinks, the margarita, tasted somewhat pre made and under poured. The second drink (some type of blackberry pineapple drink) was much better. It was a little strong but well balanced with the sweetness of the fruit and mint. I personally ended up going for the burger since I had already eaten Mexican food 3 times that week, but it was fantastic. Fries were fresh and spot on. I'd go there just for that. The pollo y tomatillo soup is amazing, and the pazole was very good also. Alex did a great job explaining the menu and answering questions. The cazero salad was delicious, the tuna on it was good, but not too impressive . The miguelita platter was average... the taco was great, the enchiladas, less so. The rounded booths were just uncomfortable, not terrible but the booth and the table didn't mesh comfortably for someone approaching 6 ft. The staff was friendly and efficient, waters stayed full all night and Alex came by to chat a few times, it's nice to get to know your server, we now know quite a bit of random facts! We came in having made a reservation because we knew that Friday night would be busy. Regardless of the reservation, however, we still had to wait to be seated at a table. Aaaaahhhhmazing. The atmosphere is great and the servers are extremely attentive. I always feel very well taken care of here!! The food comes out perfectly executed. My only complaint is the parking is very slim around the restaurant. Our waiter was Chewy. And he as knowledgeable about the menu. And offered great suggestions. I hate leaving bad reviews...but tonight was pretty bad. Food was very good, but the service was subpar. We asked for more chips 3 times and never got any. We got our food and then our sides (toppings) came out about 10 minutes later which were extra money and we had already eaten our dinner so when we asked if he can take the charge off since we didn't eat it, he "removed" it but marked up the entree price. Also we waited about 20 minutes for our bill, we were done with drinks and food just waiting. And lastly there was a table next to us that was yelling and screaming and cussing the whole time and come to find out they knew all the servers and managers so I'm assuming they worked there. Tables back to back, group of 13 right next to the bar. I know they relaxed on the rules of Covid, but I know they didn't relax on the 6 foot distance rule and nothing was 6 feet apart. Just about the only thing I enjoyed was the salsas and chips they complimentary brought out. Crisp chips and the variety of Salas was great. Ordered a queso mesero, it was alright. Creamy, thick but kind of bland. Got a jalapeno pineapple margarita which come to find out was 14 dollars. Outrageously overpriced because it was in a small glass. I could not believe the price of it when I saw the bill. Not worth the price at all. Ordered chicken enchiladas with queso, got cheese with queso but they did get it fixed quickly. This little plate of food was 14 dollars and there was hardly any chicken in the enchiladas. My mom did like her shrimp tacos. Said it had great flavor. For 2 people, it was 100 dollars and what we recieved was not 100 dollars worth of food. I really loved everything about my meal. I ordered a combo that had an enchilada (I chose red chili sauce stuffed with chicken), a brisket taco, slaw, rice and retried beans.
