Opened about 3 weeks ago. Had to come try it out. Cameron was our bartender and server. She did a great job always checking on us. We tired a few different drinks and of course their pizza. Son of a Baker pizzeria is so fresh and delicious. It's a cute place to come hangout and chill with friends. Most definitely will be back to try a different pizza

Great quaint new local place! Beautiful decor and fun neighborhood type feel. Patrons are delightful! Wallace, our bartender. Was EXCELLENT! Very attentive and simply wants to make your visit delightful! Check out their Fall special... I have the pumpkin espresso martini! YUM !!!!! You must come and try!! They serve pizza, and I've heard it's great, but we didn't have any.

Such a neat concept- you're given a card, make your way around the wall of wines, pick what you'd like to try and pour yourself a glass, basically enjoy wine on tap! If you find one you really love, you can always go back for a fuller pour. Not wanting to do that? No worries. they also offer wine-based beverages you can order right from your table. The space itself is quaint and perfectly laid out for its size. They even have the cutest patio area. Everything we tried food-wise was fantastic: Meatballs Dirty Martini Crostini Cheese Board Pizza I'd happily order every single item again, and I'm already looking forward to working my way through more of the menu. I also noticed they host different events regularly, and I absolutely loved the comedy show. It was run very well, and you could tell the comedians were having just as much fun as the crowd. I'll definitely be back for the next one and I'm following their social media for more events.

Never has there ever been a time where I can eat them or ANYTHING containing them without gagging....UNTIL GRAND CRU. I tried their mushroom flatbread on a (very nervous) whim due to a free sample, and immediately fell in love. We loved it so much that we came back shortly after just to order another! Wine selection here is amazing, and the service has always been so friendly. We always feel at home. Cost inside, too with warm and low lighting. I highly recommend Grand Cru. It's been added to my list of faves!

Chris let us know that they have live music on Friday, maybe Saturday nights. Plus, we loved the little puppy treat station by the door. We regularly got to see the cute puppies getting to stop for a treat on their walks! Give them a shot, I know I'll be back!

Magnolia gets busier every year, and I was confused by the signs in the back lot. After chatting with my server, I learned that parking is free in the back and side lot on weekends, so don't let the red and blue paid parking signs scare you away. The wine bar itself is spacious, with plenty of seating and a relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't packed, but there were enough people enjoying a bottle of wine and catching up with friends that it felt lively without being crowded. I really liked how the wine selection was displayed on the shelves with information about where each wine was from and the price. Using my passport, I chose a Vinho Verde from Portugal. It was light, crisp, and refreshing, just what I was looking for on a hot Texas afternoon. The service was excellent. My server was friendly, walked me through my options, and kept refilling my water throughout my visit, which was especially appreciated on such a warm day. I also noticed they have a full calendar of events, including live music, sip and paint, and a mimosa bar from 8-11 on Saturdays. What stood out most to me was the location. It's the perfect place to meet friends for a glass of wine before dinner on Magnolia, or to settle in and spend the afternoon people watching and relaxing. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their wine list.

And that's the reason why wine bars are so important to this public. Wine people are humanists, they get to know you on a human level through wine. Please try the crostini sampler. And if you are ever walking by, please RESPECT THEIR FRONT PATIO. Those seats are for them to make a living... just like any establishment in Magnolia. Do not sit there and take up their time if you do not wish to have a beautiful glass. These beautiful people work very hard to make this a safe place. They deserve all the credit and love. Tip them cash. Much love.

Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! Cheers!

I called a girlfriend and told her I'd found a new spot: wine, charcuterie boards, and live music. Sounded like a perfect evening. When we arrived, a young employee did her best to find the hostess and get us seated. After a few minutes, she honestly seemed more flustered than we were, she apologized and offered to seat us herself. We got settled, I ordered a margarita, and then I noticed a large dog roaming around. No leash, no owner in sight. (Later found out the owner owns the bar, the regulars are very familiar with the dog) I looked down at the menu, then looked back up, and the dog was literally face-to-face with me. We got up to leave immediately. A dog-friendly patio? Sure. That's completely fine. But allowing a dog to freely roam throughout both the outdoor patio and the covered upstairs area is baffling to me. (My last visit a dog was on the table, I assumed the young staff just didn't know how to approach the situation, but tonight shows this is how Hideaway operates day in and day out) When I explained my concern to the waitress, she said she understood and asked me to close out my tab for the one margarita I had just ordered and hadn't touched. No ma'am. I'd been there less than ten minutes, and for me, this crossed a line. Clearly, some guests enjoyed it. I saw people petting the dog and calling it over. Different preferences, and that's their choice. But mine is different. I won't be back, and if I recommend this place to anyone, it will come with a warning: dogs aren't just allowed here- they appear to have free rein of the space, whether that's on tabletops, near your food, or directly in your personal space, whether you want that interaction or not.

Pizza is prepared in two styles - Neapolitan (thin and chewy) and Roman (thin and crispy). Iced tea was delightful. Wine options are a bit overwhelming, so ask your server for recommendations.
