I ordered a large box of medium Big Jim Chilis from this company. Spent hours roasting cleaning and…read morevac sealing only to find out the chilis had zero flavor and no heat. I have been buying Hatch Chilis for around 50 years and have never experienced this. I suspect you never rotate your crops and have ruined the soil these were grown in. I was offered a 20% discount on future purchase but why take the risk, just buy elsewhere.

Very disappointed. We've ordered from this vendor several times and have always been thrilled to…read moresee the white box on our doorstep 2000 miles from NM. Order fulfillment has always been great and on time. This time however we discovered our "Hot" chiles were lacking any noticeable heat. They also look unusually long for Sandias, so I suspect they might be Big Jim or Joe Parker instead. We reached out to customer support who let us know we were probabaly "removing the vein". We've always followed the same process. Roast over an open flame, peal, remove the seeds, bag, and freeze. We never wash or de-vein the chiles and have always had a rich warm burn. After discovering the total lack of heat in this batch, we even left them roasted peeled with the seeds intact for two days in the fridge, hoping they'd develop some kick. Nothing. We're not heat chasers or "chile heads." Heck, we're from New England, not exactly known for spicy food. Usually, one pod is enough to add the perfect amount of heat to a dish. This time, I used five pods in a succotash, and the heat was barely noticeable. Honestly, this batch has only slightly more heat than a bell pepper. That's a big and disappointing departure from what we've come to expect. It really seems like we were sent the wrong chiles. But since they refuse to even consider that possibility or make it right, we'll take our business elsewhere. It's a lousy way to end what had become a beloved fall tradition for us. I'm sure our small 10-25 lb order won't matter to their bottom line, but we're genuinely bummed out.

GREATEST OF ALL (TEA) TIME!!!!…read more I am beyond blown away with this venue! One of the original houses of El Paso that preserves a beautiful piece of history in this city and makes for a perfect, elegant event space for social gatherings. Today was special with a high tea event that was executed with the highest quality of service and food! Our table was set for two and Patricia, the hostess, can coordinate your table as needed via email. The dinnerware were antiques as well which just added to the whole experience and made it that more exciting. The tea is served with an excellent portion from a tea pot that can allow you to enjoy yourself and company for hours! We certainly did and enjoyed the pleasure of meeting Patricia as well! I'm huge about food, but when it comes to baked goods, I'm especially tuned for. OUTSTANDING baked treats, tea sandwiches, and frittatas! Everything from the chunky ham bits in the frittata to the freshness of the tea sandwiches to the perfectly baked buttermilk muffins and scones!!! Top notch and all home made! As an avid baker myself and one for fetching bakeries, one can immediately tell the quality of food and this place is it! You can coordinate a plethora of events with Patricia by simply reaching out to her via email or phone and she will be more than happy to make something work out the best she could. This place is a gem and we are lucky to be able to experience such a treasure! Everything from the host to the antiqueness to the history of the house to the events experienced. Cannot wait to come back for more!
