We got one drink: Black Milk Tea, 50% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.00) - I believe the tea here is pre-mixed with non-dairy milk. The specified sugar level is added to the drink, and then they add some thick black liquid (perhaps some brown sugar syrup?), and finally top off the drink with more tea. The store offers both brown sugar boba and regular boba. I asked what the difference is, and the barista explained that the brown sugar boba was cooked and soaked in brown sugar, whereas the normal boba was only soaked in brown sugar. I opted for the original. The tea here has a good black tea flavor, a bit fragrant overall, and is better than the average chain boba shop. The boba is cooked a little less than desirable, but not too bad. It's just a little harder than what a perfectly cooked boba should be. The overall drink quality here is pretty good. I would happily return to Rare Tea if I'm ever in Las Cruces again.

Our kids ordered Açaí bowls while I just had a cappuccino. We made our way to the back courtyard, which was wide open and great for two young kids to run about without bothering anyone. The interior is inviting. While I didn't take pictures of the food, it was simply because we dug right in. The presentation of the food was exquisite and the kids barely looked up from their bowls; that's a good sign! I have no doubt if you are looking for something in particular the owner either has it or will go out of her way to locate it for you. Further, the prices are VERY REASONABLE. As a collector of milk glass I am an avid antique shopper and I have a good handle on pricing. For example there was an antique chandelier priced at $95, and an antique end table priced at $30, and a ornate milk glass vase priced at $14 (I have seen this exact vase located elsewhere for double). I did enjoy a fabulous Raspberry Italian Soda, the perfect amount of flavoring, including whipped cream and a cherry. Super good!!! There are seats for relaxing with friends over a drink or dessert and the shopping is just a fabulous added bonus! There is also a little antique store that is worth browsing through. The only thing that would have made the experience better is the coffee cups are all disposable even if you are eating in and it would have been nice to have such a good coffee in a real cup. Regardless, this won't be our last visit and it is a great addition to Main Street. On a side note, 10 or 15 years ago my wife and I had a pumpkin soup in Germany that was amazing and has been for us the holy grail of soups.
