This was a fortunate find at the marina. Hasn't been open that long. It's a beautiful restaurant with a nice view of the marina, but enclosed with glass, so it's quiet! They had a great live guitarist playing soft music, so it was a lovely romantic evening.
We liked our food so much the first night that we ended up going back 2 more times - partly because it now takes so long to get into town from the marina - and we really liked the whole experience.
Started with a margarita that was good, and then had a nice Spanish red. We didn't know what to expect for portion size. This is definitely not tapas! They start you with an amuse of gazpacho-really good. The bean stew with chorizo and ham was just delicious! We ended up having it again another night. We also had garlic shrimp which were great, tender and lots of garlic! I ordered French fries, as I didn't realize it would be served with bread, and they were some of the best I've had - very crispy.
Another night we had to try the Iberico ham that they carve at the table. The regular portion is a huge plate, too big for 2, so we asked for a smaller portion. It was so delicious I joked that we should go back and just have the large plate and nothing else!
The only dish we weren't really crazy about was the paella. It was nicely cooked, but not a lot of flavor. The portion was enough for 3! We had a side of creamy spinach that was great, and large portion.
Service was excellent til our last night, when we had to wait forever to get our check and pay. But overall they really want you to have a good experience. read more
