Discovered this gym from the Next Door app, a neighbor recommended it. Went to check it out, toured the fitness center, signed up last month after contemplating if we wanted to really commit to the lifestyle changes we needed and truly wanted to make. It's been a few weeks now so I want to give an honest review. First, the gym is more of a contemporary wellness center/fitness center. It is refreshing, innovative and the cleanest gym I've ever belonged to. Our gym experience in a historical background perspective - been a gym member at 24Hr in my 20's-40's Gold's gym in my 40's-50's, so for decades- belonged to a gym, and frequented regularly. Also last 8 years had our own home gym equipment. Had to sell the home gym equipment to make room for the grandchild's crib! So here we are. We were in search of a gym once again. This is a family owned business and the owners are health conscious. One can see they put a lot of thought into this small business. They have NEW state of the art equipment, with technology-app enhanced features which helps with tracking one's fitness. There's professional physical therapy trainers and consultants for nutrition/dietician, massage specialists, trainers that are there to support and teach not to merely sell you. Two group classrooms for yoga, balance, stretch, chair, core classes, etc.. it's a wide range of activities which I haven't had the chance to participate in yet but will in the future. There are extracurricular activities for community building and social support. I really like that feature. As people get older it is often challenging to find friends and a social support network. They help build that in. I can see how this is such an added bonus for retirees. I'm not quite there yet but very forward thinking, I love it. Great concepts fulfilling human social and developmental needs. There are 3 levels of membership. I was able to join through my Active & Fit employer membership for $32/month per person for access to facilities;the "core" level membership. Classes in core enrollment level is $18 per class. Wish the classes were inclusive at the core membership level. However, one can join higher tier membership like the Infinity level at $85 month and get unlimited everything and many additional benefits to all their offered activities. The one concern and recommendation I'd have for AIM is to get Guest WiFi up and running in order for the apps to run faster and have a better connection. It is a bit frustrating at times when it is not connecting to the equipment. Obstacles can be annoying. The equipment includes cardio-treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent cycles, recumbent elliptical, working both arms and legs, strength training machines, free weights, etc. they really have so much it is more than any person would want. The gym is well lit, fun music from our generation (baby boomers and forward) and a spacious clean feeling throughout the gym. The staff is helpful, friendly and professional. Check it out!
