The installing craftsmen were friendly and very skilled. We had a few questions after the job was done and a craftsman came out within a couple days to address each and every spot. The owner seemed a bit annoyed and rushed whenever we met- not sure if we were a small job to him or if I would have been treated differently if my husband had been available for meetings too. He didn't seem happy that we questioned some of those spots after the job was done (perhaps this is not part of their normal process, but it has always been my experience with large-scale home renovations). Things to note: - The communication, payments and scheduling were disjointed and I do agree with Crystal W., the previous poster, on this point. Based on my experience, I would recommend that this company hire an office manager or some type of scheduling/accounting assistant to manage scheduling and billing. Paul appears to manage it all himself and communicates mostly through texts after 9pm, though it is possible to get him on the phone during the day. - Have Paul come out and do the consultation and have everything ready and prepared for your estimate 3 months in advance when you want to get on the schedule-the business is busy and you'll likely need some lead time before getting on the schedule. - For our experience, we paid 50% for the flooring and then the remaining 50% a couple of days before installation. This was done directly with the flooring vendor (not Sedaris); the Sedaris crew will pick up the flooring directly from the vendor prior to installation - Sedaris installation crew were phenomenal-I give them 5 stars. They worked hard, were polite, and made sure everything was clean when they left. - We had one hiccup where the measurements that Sedaris did at our original consultation for our pricing fell short and didn't account for enough flooring-1 or 2 additional boxes of flooring were needed in the laundry area. In the end, Sedaris agreed to pay for the additional flooring and we paid for the additional labor. We felt that this was a fair arrangement and were happy with how that issue was resolved. - After the installation and final payments, we had a question about cleaning some paint stains in the floor (done by separate vendor) and Paul was prompt in giving some helpful tips-I appreciated his helpfulness even after our official business was over. Despite some of the communication challenges with scheduling and billing, if we were to get our floors done again, we'd hire Sedaris. We love our floors.

We found out after my contractor complained that the tile was discontinued but the manufacturer sent different tile anyway and Triangle never checked. Ryan the Triangle representative gave my contractor the song and dance. My contractor lost money because he had to reschedule workers that were paid and started work before we discovered the discrepency. From what I understand my contractor is still fighting with them over this. Be aware if you deal with Triangle. Beware of the song and dance.

Lucas and his Right Step crew removed old carpeting, installed new hardwoods to match the existing red oak, and custom stained and refinished the existing oak floors throughout our 2200 sq. ft home. They had the daunting task of mimicking paler-shaded white oak flooring from our orangey-red oak floors. If this is the aesthetic you are trying to achieve, you will quickly come to realize through research that it can be a hit or miss process. Lucas and his team hit it out of the ballpark! We were extremely impressed with Lucas's professionalism, expertise, sage recommendations, and responsive communication. He is absolutely meticulous in his craft. Through testing, he discovered that we had a mix of different types of hardwoods that may have gone unnoticed by others during the refinishing process but would have definitely impacted the final look of the floors.
