Excellent destination place to stay…read more Excellent place to stay. Very affordable with outstanding service. We spent two nights there. First night was in cabin 15. It was spacious and had a hot tub. The cabin was perfect for a nice time with my wife and I to get away and really relax. Cabin 14 was a nice cabin too. We stayed in this one our second night. No hot tub with this one but still very nice. The breakfast was great. The food options were diverse and tasty. Kendra personally offered to make us some terrific scrambled eggs because of my limited diet. I totally recommend this place if you want a great escape from the chaos that life sometimes throws at us.

We paid $417 for two weekend nights in October. Other notes / Possible Cons - * The sound bleed is so bad. We could fully hear the conversation, footsteps, and movie of the room next to us. So if you don't like that I would definitely recommend getting one of the separated cabins. * A lot of the appliances (TV, fireplace. Etc.) didn't work but it wasn't a huge issue because it wasn't too cold and you're in nature - why need a TV? * Breakfast is homemade and they say it's from 8 - 9:30 AM but really all the food is gone around 9. Again, not really an issue for us since we didn't really eat the breakfast. Good coffee though :)

My wife, uncle and I have stayed in 3 of the 5 cabins and have never had any problems. We have rented the pontoon boats and they have always worked perfectly. Besides the annual potluck corn hole tournament and Karaoke for the adults the owners Gene and Annalise find any way they can to make sure the kids are always entertained. whether it's rock painting or paddle boarding, swimming or s'more there is never a dull moment. Oh and while everyone else in the world was exploiting inflation and jacking there prices Liers Cove has kept the Castaway experience affordable for everyone. I've never felt more at home at a resort and the sence of community can't be overstated. I would encourage everyone to plan a Vacation

The hobbit house was very whimsical and adorably crafted. The fireplace worked well. There's electricity via a generator and primitive plumbing but no kitchenette or anything. We brought a little electric griddle that we prepped our seven hobbit meals on, and that worked well. The woodwork and ornate door is beautiful, and I loved the cute bathroom. We tried to fill the tub, but there isn't enough hot water to do it, and the draining is a bit complicated. Knowledge of how to operate a generator and problem solve electrical and plumbing issues may make your stay more enjoyable. No mention of the generator was in the listing, so when we checked in, we weren't sure at first why we didn't have electricity. We read the house book in detail, and luckily my husband is super handy and got us running. Despite the generator working, we still lost power and plumbing pressure more than once, and he was running outside in the chilly hobbit air to fix them. It didn't dampen our experience at all.. it was like camping, but it should be in the listing in case you aren't as handy as my husband is. Had I been there alone, I would have been in trouble for sure!

Here and back again. A journey definitely worth taking…read more You don't need to travel to New Zealand to visit The Shire. The adventure to Middle Earth is here in Washington State! I never knew such a place can exist in the PNW but anything is possible right? Location: A few miles past Chelan (on HWY US-97 North) two miles up the switchback gravel dirt road and tucked into the hillside to the left lies The LOTR inspired Hobbit Hole. It is about a 3-3.5 hour drive from Seattle. Parking: There is a designated parking spot reserved for the Airbnb. You will have to take a very short but steep walk to the entrance. Ambiance: I felt like I was in Bilbo Baggins house. Kristie (the Airbnb host) did an amazing job with every single detail. From the garden setup with a small picket fence on the outside to the cozy, non-modern wood crafted set up on the inside. The place was very clean, well prepared and well themed. The fireplace is the only source for heat but you only need to turn it on for a few minutes to warm up the entire place. We were served with fresh baked cookies as a greeting. A few items that are provided are herbal tea, coffee, water, an electric kettle, drinking mugs, toiletries, disposable wooden silverwares and a few games. Also provided is a station for wood chiseling if you want to tap into your creative side. This hobbit hole is very small and intimate, a perfect getaway for couples. View: Beautiful views looking through the hobbit door of the Columbia River Gorge Mountainside! Note: You will definitely get a feel of Middle Earth since it's a few miles from civilization. No wifi or cellphone service in the Hobbit Hole. I was able to get a little reception from Verizon at the parking spot. The septic tank goes off once in awhile and it can be a little noisy but nothing unbearable. The ceiling decoration above the bed is very low. If you a LOTR fanatic, then this is something to check out!

I started calling around and was referred to the Methow Valley Suites. The room I stayed in has french doors leading onto a nice bit of lawn which leads into the local hills where deer roam. I could hear all the birds in the morning when I was wakened by the natural light of day. Our breakfast began with homemade applesauce and was followed by local sausage, scrambled eggs and delicious crepes. The coffee just kept coming! I hope to stay there again!

Their knowledge of the Methow Valley, Twisp, and the people of Twisp is unparalleled. Ask them to talk a little bit about Bill's career as a smoke jumper - and you'll have some fascinating stories! Every breakfast was amazing, featuring local fare, and recipes passed down for at least a generation (or three). It was so special to come home to the mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and evening snacks that Sandy left out for us throughout the day. Their house was immaculate, and well designed for a B&B. The beds were comfortable (making for perfect night-time sleepy-time), the chairs were very "loungy" (making for perfect day-time sleepy-time), and the carpet felt good under the toes, especially after a long day skiing the Loup! The living space was comfy/cozy with amazing panoramic views of the valley. We came in the winter (with 18" of snow on the ground), and couldn't really take advantage of the deck which afforded even better views - but that gives us a reason to come back in the summer! But... because there were 18" of snow on the ground - their driveway/street made for possibly one of the best sledding hills in the land - one which our children spent hours on every day. Twisp and the surrounding areas had so many fun things to do: skiing (the Loup - only 20 minutes away), ice-skating, sledding, and was walking distance to town. The town of Twisp is a surprising gem that blew us away. You have to go to the Glover Street Market and check out its amazing downstairs wine-cellar with tastings on Saturday. The Methow Suites is a wonderful B&B that we can't wait to visit in each of the other three seasons (next stop - Spring!) Thank you Bill & Sandy for a great time!
