Had to call Roadside Assistance to jump it so I could get to O'Reilly's Auto Parts for a new battery before they closed. They said it was the alternator not the battery. Contacted DFW Mobile Repair and Hamm responded immediately with a price quote to fix it. Set up the appointment for mid-afternoon the next day, July 5th (Sunday, on a holiday weekend). Hamm was certainly knowledgeable, and after testing, said it was BOTH the battery and alternator. He replaced the alternator (which he had brought, having had my prior information as to car and model) and then drove to O'Reilly's nearby for a replacement battery which he then installed. In short, Hamm was responsive, capable, courteous and efficient. DFW saved the day (although I lost most of the holiday weekend with the problem!). Pricing wasn't cheap but was competitive I'd say. Give DFW a shot. Their customer service and mechanical work was outstanding. They also have a shop in addition to their mobile repair service. I will certainly consider them for all my future work! Now, I have the one who will be my third great mechanic here in my new hometown. Hamm worked to squeeze our car into his schedule the same day. He is knowledgeable, professional, punctual, trustworthy, and caring. He diagnosed and fixed the problem. He treated our car like it was his mom's car. And the cost was very reasonable. They have always given us estimates and services before the service is started. I have never had a vehicle that wasn't repaired or recommended repairs that we decided to or not to replace.. We had one 2013 SUV with about 80,000 miles that to be repaired for any long term use needed about $7,000 to $8,000. We that car traded to an automotive dealer with full knowledge of the work that needs to be done. In my humble opinion they are the best in Denton Count.

This shop is now located in Argyle, which is closer to where I live, making it very convenient. The only drawback I have is the pricing of some of the services offered. A dramatic price surge is noticed, which I guess is due to the state of our current economy. Prices most certainly reflect close or near dealership service shop pricing. For example, almost $200 for an oil change and filter??? I had to basically talk with the shop to get a better price, which they worked with me on. The front desk service rep wanted to charge me $50 for a cabin air filter for my vehicle and $50 for an engine air filter, which seems egregious. I declined and was able to do this small service on my own. I was able to get both items for more than a fraction of the price using the same/OEM manufacturer that Lexus and Toyota use. All in all, the shop provides a great experience. The techs and all of the staff are great. Prices have just gone out of control.
