Ok, I just HAD to take a few minutes to give Metro Auto Body a review and share my personal experience. My husband was involved in a 6 car accident on the West Side Hwy. Our car was the 3rd car. Our 2010 Nissan Altima was smashed front and back. Not drivable. It just was a horrible sight. By the time I made it to the accident scene my husband had already been taken to the hospital via ambulance. I had no clue what to do. Where our car would be towed. Like I knew nothing as this was the first accident that ever occurred with us. I also felt slightly nervous as I was a woman having to handle all of this. Well, the police called Metro Auto Body to tow the car. At first I did not know this as all I saw was a tow guy come up to me and start talking. I am a NY'er, so of course I was thinking this tow guy saw the accident and just took it upon himself to try and get my business. He wanted to tow our car to where ever and who knows what after that. Now come to find out, the police called Metro Auto Body so I felt a little more at ease. LOL. Well then, the tow guy who came, Rocky.... OH! EM! GEE!! He started talking to me and explaining to me the process and I IMMEDIATELY felt at ease. I go with my gut and my gut told me that I was already in good hands. I fell in love with Rocky and as a tow truck driver, he represented Metro Auto Body very well. He was actually the one that made me decide to just go ahead and use them to repair our car. I had a choice to take my car anywhere. Rocky told me our car would be fixed in an expeditious manner and it would look brand new when it was completed. He guaranteed that we would be happy with the work done on our car. So after talking and interacting with him for about an hour I felt so relieved. Was so happy that our car was being towed to their body shop and it would be repaired there and it was just a hassle free process. Oh and Rocky.. he even dropped me off at the hospital where my husband had been taken. I wanted to tip him too just for being so darn wonderful but he REFUSED my tip!!! He said no way!! Grrrrrr!!!! So now our baby was taken away to Metro Auto Body.. I swear I did not have to do one single thing from that point on but wait for our car to be repaired. Our car is insured through Geico. The Geico adjuster took about a week to get to our car to look at it and take pictures. From that point on, it took Metro Auto Body a week and a half to repair our car. Fast turn around time considering the amount of damage we had. Anytime I called to check on our car, the guys there was always so pleasant and professional. I just knew our car was in good hands. So ok, fast forward now to today. We go to pick up our car. I did not know what to expect. Well, I knew what to expect but you know, you still just never know. LMAO! Mind you I never actually seen Metro Auto Body's location. I did look them up on the internet and went to their website. I also read other great reviews about them so I was very happy about that. When we arrived at Metro Auto Body, oh wow!! What a professional place of business!! You think of auto body shops as these little hole in the wall, seedy places, all dirty and stuff. Your poor car would be sitting out on the street somewhere collecting dust and just being left in undesirable conditions. :'( Not Metro Auto Body. Huge place, enclosed... your car is safely garaged. Even the customer entrance is looooooovely!!! I was very impressed.. We were greeted warmly and I was happy to finally put faces to the guys who are our car's savior. So the big moment arrived. To see our car. They pulled our car out for us and when I stepped out side.. OH! EM! GEE! It was PERFECT! It was BEAUTIFUL! It looks brand spanking new!!! Like right off the dealer showroom floor. I seriously wanted to cry. I could not do anything but walk around it and keep staring. I should have ran back inside and hugged every last guy there. ROTFL!!! They even detailed our car on the inside & out! They went above and beyond and even removed any nicks and scratches we had our car. We got 4 brand new tires. Like they went way above what they had to do and was paid to do. I am so amazed. I am so grateful. I am just so happy that Metro Auto Body turned out to be the professional and reputable Auto Body Shop it was presented as. The level of their work is spot on. Our car looks better than I even imagined it to look. Just writing this review has me a tad bit emotional because seriously, our car looks amazing. And it drives/rides amazing as well. First of all, I don't think my car looked this polished when I drove it off the lot. I was in my first car accident two weeks ago and although the collision wasn't severe at all, I was scared as shit. I hit a truck head-on and ruined the entire front of the car. After filing the police report, the cops said that because the car was not in working condition, THEY had to call someone to tow the car. My dad is a Triple AAA member so I tried to explain to them that I would get my own tow but according to them, they couldn't cancel the call that they'd already placed for a tow. It honestly seemed like a scam. With my skepticism meter at an all time high, I could've sworn that these guys got some type of money for calling certain tow companies. Regardless now it seems like everything happens for a reason. Shane was the tow truck driver who pulled up speaking sooooo highly of his boss and all the great work he had done in the past. He said that there was nothing I needed to worry about when it came to the damage done to the car because his boss would make it new again. He even said that they would negotiate with the insurance for the deductible. Again, being as skeptical as I am, I thought that it was all too good to be true. The truth is, these guys are truly amazing. Shane was right to give his boss all that praise because the work done on my vehicle was phenomenal. They even offered to pick me up from the train station on my way over there. They fixed dents and scratches on my car that were there prior to the accident. They shampooed my seats, changed the oil, refilled the windshield wiper fluid, etc. These guys go above and beyond being courteous, friendly, and professional. read more

I was in an accident about one month ago on my way to work. The accident occurred in mid-town Manhattan and was the first accident I had in 15 years. AAA estimated over an hour for a tow truck, so the police called Metro Auto Body to tow my car. They were there within 30 min. The employee that arrived, Rocco, was absolutely great. First, he had a demeanor that instantly calmed and clearly understood that these kinds of situations are acutely stressful. Second, he guided me to handling things with my insurance company. For example, my insurance company wanted me to have the car towed to an "approved" autobody shop which was quite a distance away. He pointed out that it was my right to have the car taken to any location. Several times, he gave me thoughtful, unpressured advice. He took the car and I felt very comfortable with my decision. Despite the extensive damage, the shop repaired my car in less time than they estimated. In speaking with another employee, Reed, I was told 1) they would be happy to deliver the car to me when completed and at my convenience, and 2) that the car would look phenomenal upon completion. I have to say that the repairs and service all exceeded my expectations. They provided a level of communication and service that I would never have expected. And finally, Alvin (another great employee) and Rocco delivered my car at the time and place that I designated. And the car looked beautiful. I can see why this company has so many great reviews. And I will add that this is the FIRST YELP review I've ever done. That is how strongly I felt I should provide it. read more

The best experience I have ever had related to a motor vehicle. I had an accident and my van was towed by Metro Auto Body to their location in Queens. While at the hospital I received a call from the tow operator Rocky asking me how I felt, letting me know the location of the vehicle, and informing me that the van and its contents were safe I their lot. Rocky then offered to pick me up in Manhattan, whenever I was ready and drive me to the shop to sign the required paperwork and to assist with getting me a rental car within the insurance allotted daily maximum of $50/day. I was suspicious at first since Rocky and the entire staff at Metro was so friendly and helpful. I figured there had to be a catch. It turns out they're really that nice. They negotiated the deal with Enterprise to get me a replacement van for $20/day less than the price Enterprise quoted me directly. Best of all Metro's work was amazing! The car looks brand new. The work was finished sooner than their original estimate and when I dropped off my rental car, there was a Metro driver at Enterprise to drive me to the shop to pick up my car. When I walked in to Metro to pick up my van, still expecting to be hit with a surprise, I was, the paperwork was ready, with no wait. I signed and the van was waiting outside. They thanked me for letting them work on my car and asked me to let people know if I was happy with their service. Well, I couldn't be any happier. Metro Auto Body is spectacular! read more

My 2015 Subaru Outback was struck with a shearing force on the right side by a 1991 Inter truck while I was ahead in the left lane, the truck behind in the right lane, and we were both negotiating the first of 3 hairpin turns. My speed was under 20mph, the truck's a little faster as it veered into my lane. The impact was soft - no physical injury to any in either vehicle - felt only like a rubbing. No damage to the Inter; just about a quarter-sized paint scrape-off to the left side of its front bumper. But the damage to my car was extensive - bashed-and-crunched-in right rear 1/4 panel, scratches and extensive rub-offs to the panel behind the bashed-in right panel and on the right-side doors,rubbed off right wheels. I brought the car to Metro Auto Body since it was the closest repair shop to my home recommended by my insurer, Met Life Auto and Home. There I had the good fortune to meet Reed. He took a first look at the damage, estimated a 5 - business day repair time and offered to take me home when I left the car and deliver it to me when completed. He said the finished product will look like a brand new 2017 model and all that time was needed to do a perfect job. That's what I got - along with superb courtesy, patience,understanding, and a very pleasant driver who delivered, at first me, then later the car. I recently was rear ended by a young careless driver. I wasn't in a familiar area and was a bit shaken up. I reached out to a friend and they recommended I call "Metro" and stay calm "these guys are great". So that's exactly what did but still very hesitant on how the process would go and having that anxiousness of being taken advantage of since I'm a female with absolutely no knowledge of cars or what steps I need to follow. Within 20-30 minutes a tow truck pulls up (before the the police even did) the driver was extremely nice and waited with me until the cops showed up and even gave me a ride to my home which was in the complete opposite direction of their shop. I wasn't able to speak with anyone in their office that night but received a call at 7am, they were more than helpful and I started to feel a little at ease. When I got there they were so nice, guided me through the process not making me feel like an idiot and even gave me a ride to pick up my rental. Two weeks had passed and it was time for me to pick up my car, when the mechanic pulled it up to sidewalk I didn't even realize it was my car. It looked better than before the accident!! I normally don't care much about writing reviews but I wanted to take the time and thank them and I figured this is the most effective way. Go Metro!! My car was hit by a cab and the front left part was completely smashed. I never had an accident like this serious before so I had no idea where to start from. A guy from Metro came to tow my car and they literally handled everything for me!!! They communicated with my insurance company (GEICO), arranged everything for me and also got me a rental. I was so surprised when Enterprise came to pick me up at Metro and took me to their store!!! When I got to Enterprise, again, everything was already set up. People at Enterprise already knew I was coming from Metro and all I had to do was to sign a paper and take the key of my rental. I got my car back like a week later and wow.. it just looks BRAND NEW. I even passed by my car, I just never thought that would be my car!! Then a guy told me that my car was parked over there and I just passed it. Trust me, the car looks like it just came straight from a dealer. I am extremely happy with my experience at Metro. They are so professional. Customer service was just awesome and the staffs were so friendly and polite. Their mechanics are also incredible... I've dealt with lots of auto shops in NY before for smaller problems but I always felt like I was being cheated. With Metro, I never felt like that everything was just crystal clear and fast. Okay...I am going to have to rave rave rave about this business! My car was the victim of a sideswiping accident that smashed in the two R side doors, as well as a hit and run on the rear L side while parked on the street. I didn't know who to go to for repairs, but Metro was recommended to me by a neighbor who had wonderful things to say about them. They made everything so easy. Reed called me to update me regarding insurance and related issues, and my phone interactions with him and Joe were always friendly, professional and courteous. When I picked up my car after they had finished, I was absolutely blown away: not only was the assessed damage taken care of beautifully (I really can't believe how great it all looks!) but they had also touched up dings to the bumpers (not part of the work order), washed and polished the body and tires, AND...to my surprise, actually detailed the interior and somehow magically eliminated all the scratches on interior pieces, etc. The car completely looks and feels like a new car, and I think it might be better than when I bought it new from the dealer two years ago! You want your car fixed right get It done by people that you can trust! well let me tell you something, look no further I've been in accidents several times unfortunately. Metro Auto Body is where you truly should take your car hands down unbelievable collision repair place you get your car and you walk in after it's finished and you don't even recognize it. When you stop and take a step back and look at your car it looks like it came out of the dealership again. I asked the owner how long they've been in the business they said family business 60 years. 60yrs!!! How can you not trust a business that's been repairing cars that long. Joe and Reed are outstanding they meet all the needs and get your car out to the point you don't even recognize it that's how good their work is done. Working with Metro Auto Body was certainly the most pleasant part in the process of an unpleasant accident. The other driver had an insurance plan with a company I'd never heard of but Reed at Metro knew exactly what the process was going to entail and told me exactly what to expect when dealing with the insurance company. I left my car with Metro Auto Body and from the other reviews listed online I expected good work but I have to say the work they did was WELL beyond my expectations. My car honestly came back in way better shape and practically looks brand new now (despite being 6 years old). They did an excellent job fixing the damage and fixed even more than that. The paint was matched perfectly - my car has a paint that's black with metallic blue specks in it and their paint came out exactly like the rest of my car. Finally, the detailing job done was amazing. The inside was absolutely dealership clean and the exterior was detailed to perfection. I would 100% recommend working with Metro Auto Body as they knew how to navigate an insurance company I never heard of and they fixed my car well beyond the damage caused by the other driver. And they were done quickly! I hope I never get into an accident again but if I do, I'll be giving Metro my car to fix! read more

My beautiful Lexus was recently side-swiped by a semi-tractor trailer that badly damaged the side and front end of my car. It had to be towed. Luckily, the tow company turned out to also be a great auto repair shop! At first I was a bit wary, since I knew nothing about them, but I checked them out on Yelp (tons of great reviews), and other sites, and my insurance company agreed that I could have them do the work. They were extremely helpful, a pleasure to deal with and gave excellent service, delivering my car on a flat-bed to my door after @ 2 weeks. It looked beautiful, clean/detailed, and brand new, like it had just come out of the showroom. And add to that they offer a lifetime warranty on all the work that they did on the car, for as long as I am the owner. I highly recommend Metro Auto Body and have only wonderful things to say about Rocky - he was the one who came to tow my car, a really nice guy who gave me a great sales pitch about the company, which luckily turned out to be all that he said they were - as well as Joe and Reed who are managers at the repair shop and even the very polite and friendly Albert (?) the fellow who delivered the car back to me. I gave my car for repair n they fixed it PERFECTLY AWESOME when I took my car back it was like it came from car showroom like brand new. It's WOOOOOOOOOW. Don't write reviews generally for goods/services and also have been in a few fender benders over the last twenty years driving in NYC. But I felt compelled to take the time to share my experience with my fellow NY'ers. Metro is by far the best experience ( also ranks as one of best customer experiences - I travel lots for work) I have had fixing my car which got hit and suffered damage to the rear and side. From the time I took my car there, the customer service has been exceptional; calls and following up through the claims/inspection process, working with rental car company to arrange pickup back and forth, working with the appraiser and getting the car repaired in half the time! I picked up my car today and it looks brand new ! Not only did they fix the damage - they buffed out knicks and scratches that were there, polished the exterior, vacuumed the interior. The car felt, smelled and looked new.. Additionally I had left a package in my rear seat that I forgot about - I retrieved it today, nicely wrapped and in the back of the trunk :-) read more

So I took my new black 2018 Honda Accord out for my usual spin , went to downtown Bklyn and parked next to the bicycle lane,unfortunately, came out to find a small but deep scratch in my fender , thanks bicycle idiot.Took it to Reid after reading the great reviews on Yelp, I'm very picky about who touches my car, he said he could probably get it out with some buffing and polishing by one of his expert employees. Came back at the specified time, the guy took less than a half hour to buff out the scratch and it looks as good as new.I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to meet a professional honest business man who does what he says and delivers nothing less, hope I won't need body and fender services again, but if I do Metro and Reid are my go to guys.Let me add, I live in Bayside Queens and I always like to patronize people who've built their businesses in the borough and have stayed like Metro has since the 50's I consider them good neighbors also.Thank you Reid and Metro ! read more

I don't know where to begin. I had a fender bender and I was this time fully confident that metro were going to once again exceed my expectations. They have the best customer service I have ever encountered and they will treat you like family. I just got my baby back today and it looks better than any car on a sales lot. This establishment is top notch from Al the yow truck driver to John one of the service managers. My truck was involved in a accident in queens late on a Friday night I'm not from the area so after reporting what happened to the police I see Al he told me about metro auto body i liked what i heard so Saturday morning i dropped off my truck to be worked on, John the service manager explained in detail everything I needed to know step by step and just as he stated is the way the process was handled. So when my truck was finished I went to pick it up it was pouring rain but from what I could see the truck looked great. It wasn't until the next day I really saw what a awesome job metro had done not to mention some cosmetic issues that had nothing to do with the accident were also taken care of that was much appreciated by me I didn't expect that. Just picked up my little SLK 350 from Metro Auto Body, and I must tell you, it looked so, so good I almost started to cry. Metro did an amazing job. The car looks like new, maybe better than new. What went in as a "total" came out as immaculate, and in perfect running order. Joe and Reed couldn't be nicer. They're friendly, honest, helpful beyond imagining. Their shop certainly kept all the promises they made, too. As I was getting ready to leave, the car on the sidewalk out front, several of their techs even came out to say what a beautiful car it is. All I could say was that it didn't look so hot when they brought it in. Speaking of bringing it in, Rocco, their two truck driver who picked up my wreck in Manhattan and brought it here, was also incredibly nice, patient, thorough, and gentle with both me and my car. After taking my second car to Metro Auto Body, there is no question they are the number automobile repair shop in New York City! After I was rear ended on the GCP in my CTS-V, I called 911, my insurance company and then Metro. Let me give you some advice. The only error I made was not calling them after the 911 call. Call Metro after 911! Now, why is Metro number one? Their craftsmanship, professionalism and integrity is otherworldly! They love your car more you than you do! It is crazy! Listen, been a over a week since I picked up the car. I am in my garage looking at the paint over the entire car and ask myself, this looks like a paint correction? I swear to God.
