I rate this establishment two stars because although I like the atmosphere, decor, and space, the coffee beverages leave much to be desired. A 16-ounce latte, for example, contains one shot of espresso. In other words...weak. Additionally, the robustness of the coffee is sub par. Metro Coffee has a nice atmosphere as far as coffee shops go. I enjoy the range of areas to curl up with a cup of coffee at. One can choose to sit at the table or the comfortably and eclectically arranged couches and comfy chairs. I have been to Metro twice and at both occasions orders were misplaced. The first time I went myself and two others ordered coffee's and sandwiches. I asked for a Latte and understood it would take a bit longer to prepare than the plain coffee my friends ordered. However, after half an hour of waiting and finally realizing the few other patrons who ordered after me had all received their drinks I had to ask what happened to my order. The answer was "oh dear - I forgot about yours!" The second time I went to Metro was about 15 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. There were about 15 people standing around ordering or waiting for their drinks. While waiting 20 minutes for my coffee I observed a patron who had been sitting at a table with a sandwich since I arrived ask the baristas if her coffee was ready yet. Turns out her order had been forgotten as well. She sadly mentioned I have to leave soon for an appointment. Metro serves reasonably good coffee in a pleasantly arranged room. However their baristas seem to never write down orders or names. They take an excessive time to make average drinks and drop an unforgivable amount of orders. I would go to Metro again and even recommend it to friends. However I don't recommend going if you are in a hurry. I also recommend never leaving the baristas site while waiting for your beverage. This little coffee shop, nestled in downtown Casper, is one of my favorite places to go when I want to go out for coffee. Whether you are conducting an interview or just want to catch up with friends, it has a great atmosphere that is like sitting in the comfort of your own home. This place is for introverts and extroverts alike as it is roomy enough to sit in the middle of a group or off in the corner if you just want to quietly sip your coffee alone. The coffee is delicious and the prices are fair. read more

If only all coffee houses were like Metro! Casper lacks decent coffee shops anyhow, but even if this place had remotely any competition, I doubt they'd lose much business. I am from Portland, OR and until today, loved the Metro. Today, when the male owner was giving me my change, I noticed that he had on one dirty plastic glove, and his other hand was covered in grease. I asked if what was on his hands was meat, and he replied "yes.". I asked if I could have change without meat juice on it, and he was very defensive, and said "I can't believe this." He angrily washed his hands and then gave me what he called "very clean money". Food borne illness, anyone? I will NEVER go in again. Alas, my fate is Starbucks. read more
