Food: Judge for yourself! I'm about to dive in but, it looks perfect. Only wish that I received a whole sandwich for $21.00 Survey says...it was very good!!!! Service: Nicely served for my take-out order. Ambiance: Huge spot like 2-3levels great for various sizes of crowds. They even offer Nightly Karaoke which I may have to check out one night! PSA: I dislike that 12% gratuity is charged for to go orders.

Second year coming to Dragon Con and second year hitting up the Diner. Service continues to be terribly slow. Make that first glass of water last because good luck getting a second. Family was done eating and I had to send them on while I waited for our waitress to return to the table and then for the check to actually show up and then for the sign copy to show up. It took a while... Food was fantastic though! Started off with mozzarella sticks that my daughter said, "killed the cheese pull test!" They were really good. Daughter had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was amazing! I don't say that lightly; I eat lots of waffles. It was cooked to perfection and just a hint of vanilla. I had the chicken quesadilla. It was good, nothing spectacular. I'd get it again. I'll continue to come back every year as the food is really really good but I sure hope they hire more staff!

This morning we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast at Metro Diner & Bar in downtown Atlanta, and it was the perfect way to start the day. We were seated on the second floor by the window, which gave us a great view overlooking the streets below. With DragonCon in full swing, it was extra fun to sip coffee and watch the colorful crowd of cosplayers and attendees walking by--it gave the whole experience a lively, unique vibe. The menu has plenty of hearty options, from omelets to classic plates. I went with the two egg classic breakfast which came with egg my way, bacon, ham or sausage and choice of toast, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and filling. Service was friendly and efficient even with the busy convention weekend crowds. The staff kept everything moving while making sure we had what we needed. If you're in downtown Atlanta--especially during DragonCon--Metro Diner & Bar is a great breakfast spot for good food, quick service, and prime people-watching. They serve breakfast all day and have karaoke at night.

Solid spot. I was in town for a conference and came here for breakfast. It was pretty empty so I was seated right away. Ordered pretty quickly and got my food just as fast. Food was solid. I like their hash browns and eggs were cooked perfectly. I'm sure this place can get loud and rowdy when it fills up. Check it out.

My friend and I were in Atlanta for a few days and we literally came here for dinner two nights in a row. He's British and really wanted to experience American diner culture and this is probably about as close as you can get in downtown Atlanta. They have a vast menu and plenty to choose from. One night I had the Caesar salad and the other night I had one of the chicken wraps. Everything was pretty good diner fair. When I say pretty good I mean for a diner it was good but definitely diner food. So nothing too special but mostly consistent. Ambience is very '80s or 90s looking and you can tell it hasn't changed much since then. Some good views out the window of Peachtree Center Avenue. Service was always quick and easy. Staff was friendly but always in a hurry. Overall what else can I say except everything here was consistent and tasted good enough and prices were pretty good for downtown. You get what you get and that gives it five stars in my point of view!

Calamari was good. Bartenders are nice & accommodating. Drinks are a bit overpriced. Karaoke was fun. Cool spot to have a good time & meet friendly people. I enjoyed mysel both nights.

Came in on a Sunday evening for dinner. We were greeted immediately coming up the steps. There weren't many people in, so we were seated quickly. It was pretty quiet, but most of the guests were seated on the same area. We preferred a panini and chicken and waffles. Both meals were good and came out fast. Our sever was attentive and was able to accommodate any ask. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would come back if I'm in the area.

This may have been a better experience if we were doing karaoke. We instead came for food and drinks because they were open and many places close early in downtown ATL. The food was barely over fast food. The mozzarella sticks were no where near as good as sonic. The buffalo chicken sand-which was ok but definitely nothing to write home about. It was very loud which again i get if your main purpose is going to do karaoke. The service was ok. Everything was kinda sticky. Just not a huge fan but props for being open late.

Little bit of a dive restaurant. The main floor wasn't open for breakfast. Signs directed me up the stairs of this multi floor office building. View was sweet as I watched the Atlanta bustle from my table. The coffee was perfect and yes, some restaurants serve u drinkable coffee. I had the gravy and two biscuits at $7.50. Biscuits were fresh homemade. Flaky and warm, I was tempted to re-order. Service was spot on. Note that 18% gratuity was automatic and thus no real need to tip additional. (

Meh. Dirty, grimy. Food was hit and miss! I say that because my food was a mess and my dining partner's food was a hit. I ate her food more than my own! How can one mess up a BLT? Sigh. I ended up eating my partner's pesto chicken sandwich. She had a huge salad and a chicken sandwich, which was really good. My food was awful. I didn't eat it. Service was fair, even though the place was busy. Our server was bubbly, friendly and did a decent job, although she saw that I didn't touch my food and had zero comments about it. I also didn't complain about it because I didn't feel like bothering with it a second time after sending it back because it was the wrong food order to begin with. We were there for a conference and a bunch of people ended up here from our conference because it was close proximity to our hotel. I overheard people from our group complaining before we even ordered. That should've been my sign to get up and go someplace else. I will definitely not eat here again nor will I recommend it.

I'll give this a confusing 3 star rating. Why? Because I'm really not sure how to describe or feel about this place. I only came here once. It was 1130pm at night. I got in late from a flight in and it was in walking distance from my hotel and the kitchen was open. I walked in on a Monday night and the place was lit. I came and thought it was a club the way people were lit on a Monday night. Dance floor had everyone on it dancing. It was karaoke night and everyone was having the time of their lives. The lighting is low lit. The main lights were off and the place was illuminated with blue and purple lights. You walk up the stairs to get to the seating area / to order to go. The place is sneakingly bigger than it appears. The seating opens up and it resembles any other diner seating. Just a bit more cooler with the lights and ambiance. Took my food to go. Got wings and a Buffalo chicken sandwich. The sandwich was decent. The wings were seasoned real well. But probably a little bit too much salt. I realized at that time of the day this was as best as it was going to get. Price was meh. For it being where the restaurant was in terms of location. It wasn't bad. I walked here but Atlanta traffic is notoriously bad. I didn't see any private parking so you'll have to find street parking or park in the nearby parking garage

Stopped at Metro Diner & Bar to grab breakfast one morning after visiting the nearby Atlanta Passport Agency. The breakfast of scrambled eggs with cheese, paired with pancakes and turkey sausage was freshly made and tasty. i was also able to order a hot chocolate with whipped cream that was great. Reagan, the server was pleasant, attentive, and helpful. It was typical diner fare for breakfast, but i appreciated that all of the elements were made with care. The only downside is that i noticed the restaurant could use a deep clean. i make it a personal practice to only go to restaurants that have good health code ratings, and thankfully Metro Diner & Bar's recent standing show no violations. However, the floors didn't look very clean, and there was noticeable grime on the windows. They could pay a bit more attention to making the dining room a bit brighter as well. It's clear that this restaurant has been around a long time - it may be time for some deep cleaning and a general refresh/sprucing up. Overall, however, a decent place for a good breakfast!

The amount of prep, technique, and patience required for clarified cocktails definitely isn't lost on me, so I naturally gravitated toward those options. MidCity clearly puts serious effort into the details and the server was well-equipped to discuss and help guide me to the right decisions. I tried the Peanut+Butter, Mangorita, and Pear Matcha Fizz. The Mangorita was the standout for me. The rum brought a deep, complex backbone while the mango rounded everything out with just the right sweetness. Super balanced, layered, and honestly just delicious. The Peanut+Butter reminded me a bit of a Boulevardier variation, with the Cynar adding that earthy, slightly bitter edge that kept it from leaning too sweet. Really interesting drink with a lot going on. The Pear Matcha Fizz was refreshing and easy to drink -- definitely tasty -- but felt a little less complex and developed compared to the other two cocktails I had. Overall, very impressed. Creative menu, thoughtful execution, and a clear respect for craft cocktails. Already planning to go back tonight to work through more of the menu. This is a gem on the cocktail scene in Atlanta and deserves the glowing reviews that it has here on Yelp.

The rooftop bar was extremely busy so we got drinks in the lobby. The service on the rooftop and lobby bar was over extended. They needed more staff to support the crowd. Eventually we ordered food as it seemed more staff came in to help. We shared chicken wings and the flat bread pizza. The wings were a good size and come with potatoes. More like breakfast potatoes, not fries. They were rather salty and not very good. The flat bread pizza was tasty. Their menu included other starters, sandwiches, salads and desserts. We had cocktails - old fashioned, vodka and cranberry, and a Moscow mule. Good size and tasty. Overall, the band - The DJ Wright Band and DJ Eclazz were why we came! Definitely check this spot out.
