This review is for a catered event. The Buckeyes hosted a Student-Alumni mixer. There's a paid $10 parking lot located immediately behind the building that offers both uncovered and covered options. A man oversees the lot and takes cash, Cash App, or Zelle payments. The venue is located in Midtown and features spacious downstairs and upstairs dining areas. We were upstairs, which offers a large open space with a bar. There were a variety of food options that met all dietary needs, ranging from sliders and nachos to lemon pepper wings and more. The staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, the food was standard sports bar food that met the needs of the event. I would definitely recommend this venue for another mixer or to watch sports on the many TV screens. read more

Parking is $10 in the parking lot or you can find street parking. Once inside we sat pretty quickly and the food came out. I would only go back for the herb chicken and maybe the wings. The gumbo came out as a bright orange paste and the grits were thick and cold. My spicy margarita was neon margarita mixed with an overwhelming amount of jalapeño juice and seeds. I ordered online. One of the things that were a part of my order was jacked up lemon pepper wings 10 piece. And they sent me plain naked wings, with no seasoning whatsoever. I called to get my food remade. The manager. Dannie and the G M Mimi was rude and condescending. Said she was going to contact DoorDash and see what the outcome is. She hung up the phone in my face. She wanted to be a part of my community. But she still would not make it right by exchanging what they sent me and give me what I actually paid in ordered. Then she hung up in my face. Russ that is not true. These are absolutely you all photographs. Instead of addressing your food is which you are known for because you are a restaurant you rather double down on a conversation that you don't have. I recorded the whole conversation. There was nothing racial about what I said to Mimi. I told her that she was not showing empathy because I was for chocolate that's what I said. She goes on to tell me that she is a part of my community, and I advise her having one drop does not make her a part of the community. So if that's racial, OK, it's the truth though. What's also the truth are these naked wings that you guys sent to me when I ordered jacked up lemon pepper. I still have the receipt and I still have these pictures and the food. And instead of making it right, she would rather be argumentative and combative about policy instead of actually honoring you walls code of ethics hints, trading your error and give me what I paid for and what I ordered. Instead of taking accountability she was stammering and giving me the reasons as to why she couldn't, which was only because I ordered through a third-party. I was walking around Midtown. I was hungry but wasnt quite sure what i wanted to eat. After pondering about several nearby restaurants, I chose HG. I was seated quickly and soon greeted by Mae. She presented me with a water and menu and ask if I'd like anything else. She soon returned with my tea and i informed her i needed more time. First let me say. HG still uses big glasses,witch hardly any restaurants do nowadays. I found my self craving nachos. Mae soon returned and i settled on loaded nachos. For a up charge,I added bbq turkey and gucamole. Now what i really like was that the gucamole was in a plastic cup on the side. Also it was a resonable portion. I say this because alot of restaurants will do a upcharge and just spread it on the top. I appreciated that they served it in a plastic cup. This allowed me to enjoy it throught my whole portion of nachos and not just on the top. The bbq turkey had a sweetness to the taste. However it paired well with the rest of the toppings. There was black beans,pinco,jalapeños, cheese and maybe even salsa. The atmosphere was quite loud. But that is to be expected as there was a basketball game on with several fans watching. I rarely leave one-star reviews, but my experience at Hudson Grille Downtown Atlanta was disappointing enough that I felt it was necessary. When we arrived, there was a line, which isn't unusual during a busy event. My friend waited in line while I spoke with a server to understand the process, since they don't normally have a line. The server told me, "Find a table and it's yours." Based on that information, I walked around looking for an available table. I found one that was empty except for some dishes and asked if it would be okay for me to clean it off myself since the staff seemed busy. I was told a family was there, when they came back I saw they were leaving. I confirmed with the family that they were leaving, and when I returned to let the staff know, another guest informed me they had been waiting for that table. No problem, I completely understood. What turned this into a negative experience was the manager's response. Instead of listening to what had happened, she immediately approached me in an aggressive manner, repeatedly telling me, "You need to listen to me, you need to wait." Every time I tried to explain that I was simply following the directions given by the server and seeking clarification on the seating process during the FIFA event, I was dismissed and talked over. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and visibly overwhelmed. She got uncomfortably close to me while speaking and then walked away while I was still trying to explain the situation. At no point was I being argumentative. I was simply trying to understand the process after receiving conflicting information from staff. I understand that major events create stress and that restaurants can get extremely busy. However, customer service matters most during those moments. A manager sets the tone for the entire establishment, and unfortunately, the way this situation was handled made us decide to leave without eating. I won't be returning, which is unfortunate because this could have been resolved with clear communication and basic professionalism. read more

The bartenders routinely save bar seats for their friends--even when paying customers are standing around looking for a place to sit. It's frustrating to watch seats sit empty for long stretches while other patrons are turned away or forced to stand, simply because those spots are being held for people who aren't even there yet. A bar as busy and in-demand as Hudson's should prioritize actual customers over favoritism. I came to celebrate a friends new job and relocation! This location is located at 842 Peachtree St and has a private driveway. A lot of people don't realize that, but there's about 5 spaces on the side of the building. Not sure if it's for staff, food Pickup or valet.... The food is comparable to Taco Mac but more dinner Options like Steaks, Large Salads and many Chicken dishes. I also found the seating arrangements much better than Taco Mac and the restaurant is larger with a 2 story portion for large parties or when big sporting events are on! This is the perfect place to watch a game and socialize. The food is tasty and will hit the spot but isn't anything to brag about. I think the location is convenient and is needed in the Midtown neighborhood. Our group had about 40 people and the staff were very friendly, provided A1 service and even split the checks! Major Kudos to them! I think when I'm in the area again stumbling from the bars I will visit again. I think they should get lighting around their sign or some type of promotion because I always forget their located on Peachtree and most people default to Taco Mac when craving Burgers, Wings and items like that. My experience here was very average. There was truly nothing special about this place and I don't really have motivation to return. I will say it wasn't bad or horrible in anyway, but all the food was just literally average on the menu. They stated that their wings are award-winning so I wanted to make sure to try them and they literally tasted average and basic. I felt like there could've been a little more flavor. They were fried nicely though. I'll give them that but to me that's the bare minimum when it comes to wings. My burger was also decent. It definitely wasn't bad but it was not delicious. Came here for a work event with a large group of people. The food was okay. I did like the pretzels and mustard. We also had wings, quesadillas, and chips and dip. The food was okay. I did enjoy the pretzels. Some were soft and some were hard. The quesadilla was flavorful; a mixture of a few cheeses and jalapeños. I liked it. The wings were good too. What I was not happy about was the cold water in the bathroom when I was washing my hands. It is 35 degrees tonight. Why in the whole world is there only cold water in the bathroom? Not okay. The upstairs area is really good for private events. It's spacious, lots of seating, private bar, and even a little stage area in the corner. It looks like they may do live music there or something, but I didn't ask. Parking is $10. That alone will cause me not to come back. I really dislike paying to park when I already have to pay to eat. Looked down from where I was sitting and saw a bunch of trash on the floor. The burger had absolutely no seasoning. I ate less than half of it, only trying a few bites. When the manager came over, he immediately took the plate and said he would only take half of it off the bill. I explained that I had not eaten half. He responded that they do not season their meat , in a very dismissive tone. As he walked away, I asked if he planned to offer anything else. He said no. I asked if that was his final answer, and he said yes and walked off. The rudeness was shocking. I then told the server I would not be paying for the tasteless burger, so the manager returned and said he would remove it this time, but that it would not happen again because "nothing was wrong with the burger." He seemed personally offended that I didn't like the food. I told him I would not be returning, and he replied, "Very good. I'm glad." We paid for my husband's meal and were leaving when I saw the manager again at the hostess stand. I told him that taking care of customers makes for a better experience. He responded with "whatever." As I walked out, the situation escalated further, and he followed me outside yelling profanity loudly enough to be heard over traffic. Visited in the late afternoon on a Monday. The place was fairly crowded but not overpacked. A crowd formed at the door waiting to be seated and finally someone came to seat my party. The noise level was minimal despite many football games on tv (definitely recommend this place for watching any sports game). I ordered the vegan beyond beef cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. The cheesesteak was great! The fries however were too crispy. They provide cinnamon white sauce for the fries but I don't think that was vegan so I left it alone. I also don't recommend it unless you want a sweet treat. The others in my party had the fish and chips (4/5) and the jambalaya (1/5 due to lack of seasoning on the rice, stating that it tasted like plain rice and chicken). Overall, I think it's great for vegans or for a family that has a vegan and wants to go to a place that caters to the whole family. Not the best food (for non vegans) but if you're not really picky and super hungry it's worth going. read more

Hudson is a fantastic spot to catch the Ravens game. What truly sets it apart is the atmosphere--it feels like home, especially if you're from Baltimore. The upstairs bar is Ravens-themed and has become a go-to for loyal fans who show up season after season. Hudson use to recognize that loyalty by reserving seats for those regulars, ensuring they always have a place to enjoy the game. Recently, someone named Jess W. (AKA KAREN) posted a photo of those seats and claimed they were being saved for friends of the waitstaff. That's simply not true. The staff saves those seats for dedicated patrons who consistently support Hudson during every game--not for someone who just happened to stop by once. Waitress was wonderful. But could not answer questions I have about the food I ordered. I ordered the beets and burrato salad. Burrato was excellent and fresh. The arugula salad was fresh and a good serving. But the beets were very hard to find. I noted chopped pieces of golden beets but no red beats. But there were small pieces of want looked like maybe burnt pieces of beets. Would not order again. If you describe your salad with beets, you should be able to find some. read more
