H40. Blockbuster Sandwich
Annalisa M.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this 24/7 deli while drunk on a Friday night, searching for something to eat in town Sure enough, Metro Finest did not disappoint me. The guy at the deli counter was so kind. I ordered a Blockbuster sandwich on a wrap (comes with bacon, roast beef, lettuce, tomato). I couldn't believe how juicy and delicious the sandwich was. I literally scarfed it down in minutes. It was literally gone by the time my friend got her order. I wouldn't wait. The tender meat, the fatty bacon, and the relief of the fresh vegetables in combination is a game changer. Seriously so delicious, I literally returned the next day to get the same thing. No shame in enjoying a good sandwich!

This place is the bomb, came from the UK for a week stay, this deli could've made me stay for life. Was in here for breakfast nearly every morning, highly recommend a bacon egg and cheese bagel! Fresh food and sound staff, what more could you ask for?

Let me start off by saying that I am not from NY, this was my first time ordering food at a deli and my experience with them did not disappoint. The 2 guys that I interacted with (one in the deli and one at the register) were super friendly, nice and accommodating. This was my first time ordering a Chop Cheese and the guy at the deli was super patient and helpful and honestly this was one of the best things I think I've eaten in my life! He added the extra spicy cheese (told him to make it spicy and I loved it) lettuce and tomato to it. It was so delicious! Not to mention when I divided the sandwich into 2 the cheese was super stringy, melted and delicious! It had the perfect combination of textures and did not feel or taste dry at all-literally perfect! The fries were nice and perfectly fried too! Not to mention the prices are very affordable. The guy at the register was super friendly too when I jokingly said add extra mayo and hella ketchup he did not hesitate at all and asked me how much I wanted. I wish I could have gone back because OMG! that chop cheese was to die for! Thanks for such an amazing sandwich and best first deli experience! Can't wait to go back. (The photo does not do the food justice)

Great sandwiches, fresh juice available, anything you would need on a go. But the sandwiches and breakfast food are the best!

I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

My cousin and I stopped by yesterday and picked up a couple of heroes. I had to get my beef salami and 3 pepper colby jack cheese, extra mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, on a whole wheat hero (10.99) . Much love to a family staple for years. Definitely a place for you to pick up a sandwich that won't break the bank.

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Great food doesn't care where you come from -- it just brings everybody to the same table. That's New York. That's Brooklyn.

But a mess of green peppers. Like a whole green pepper on an uncut sandwich. Uncut! Let's be real. I'm at the mercy of the person who buys me lunch. And they eat brisket. So get the brisket. But don't dare get a simple turkey sandwich. And also, they're misrepresenting that they have chicken salad. They do not. Or maybe they've been lying about it.

I finally made it here to try any one of their legendary subs and sandwiches!…read more The deli is super old Skool Italian, cash only in a street not easy to get to without a car or taking the bus. But boy it is super worth it if you make the effort! The counter service is excellent and you place your order and wait for deliciousness! I ordered the Golden Boy Special ( Chicken Cutlet , Vodka Sauce , peppers , mozzarella and prosciutto) it was absolutely superb and the bread it was just incredible! My son and I shared a large plenty of Sandwich for two - and we got homemade meatballs to go ( 4 to be exact) - total bill $30 cash ! I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.
