Omg I wish I found this place sooner. When in NY, I always treat myself to bagels so I thought maybe I'll pass this one time, but I was told that I have to have a bagel. After looking over yelp, the bagel recommendations weren't calling my name until I came across Metro Finest. From the outside, it doesn't stand out and there was no crazy line like many other bagel shops, but wow, this place left an awesome impression. I was pleasantly surprised to find this 24/7 deli while drunk on a Friday night, searching for something to eat in town Sure enough, Metro Finest did not disappoint me. The guy at the deli counter was so kind. I ordered a Blockbuster sandwich on a wrap (comes with bacon, roast beef, lettuce, tomato). I couldn't believe how juicy and delicious the sandwich was. I literally scarfed it down in minutes. It was literally gone by the time my friend got her order. I wouldn't wait. The tender meat, the fatty bacon, and the relief of the fresh vegetables in combination is a game changer. Seriously so delicious, I literally returned the next day to get the same thing. This has to be the worst deli I've been to in my entire life. I actually came because it was close by and looked nice. Boy was I fooled. I orderded a panini (tasted terrible) didn't come with side item that it advertised. I only came in for a sandwich but decided to grab a few more things that's I should have just gotten from the dollar store; I spent $20 on stuff I honestly didn't need. As I'm walking home in the pouring rain right when I get to the door I set the bag down and the glass juice breaks open. I never opened the juice or drank it. I walked back to the deli soaking wet and explained to them what happened. Both employees were extremely unhelpful and extremely rude. I told them that I was planning on using that deli frequently while on vacation. After the workers were arguing they called the police on me. I was not threatening violent or breaking the law. If you want a deli that will call the police on you , make terrible food, has awful service, and doesn't value your money then this is your spot! I'd put 0 stars if I could. read more

Let me start off by saying that I am not from NY, this was my first time ordering food at a deli and my experience with them did not disappoint. The 2 guys that I interacted with (one in the deli and one at the register) were super friendly, nice and accommodating. This was my first time ordering a Chop Cheese and the guy at the deli was super patient and helpful and honestly this was one of the best things I think I've eaten in my life! He added the extra spicy cheese (told him to make it spicy and I loved it) lettuce and tomato to it. It was so delicious! Not to mention when I divided the sandwich into 2 the cheese was super stringy, melted and delicious! It had the perfect combination of textures and did not feel or taste dry at all-literally perfect! The fries were nice and perfectly fried too! Not to mention the prices are very affordable. The guy at the register was super friendly too when I jokingly said add extra mayo and hella ketchup he did not hesitate at all and asked me how much I wanted. Service is decent, I go here often I live not to far. You have to be very specific and watch your food order as they prepare it, they're like any typical ny deli; they'll make what they want and charge what they want. The prices go up or fluctuate ever other week depending on who's preparing the food and who's at the counter. Anyone can slap meat on some bread and call it a hoagie, hero, sub, grinder, or whatever other noun you call it by. People think its a sauce that makes it. Even I don't know what it is.
