We called the number on our old spring and was automatically connected to Metro Overhead Door. We left a message and not to long afterwards a man called us back with a repair quote and repair time frame of Friday between 11-1. We were quoted $280+tax to repair both springs, which after doing some research online, seemed reasonable. On Tuesday afternoon I received a call from June stating they had an opening from 1-3 that day. I was super excited! I was so ready to park my car back in the dry, warm garage. I immediately accepted the opening and thanked her profusely for thinking of us. Corey arrived by 2pm and had the repair done by 3pm. He even replaced one of our cables ($10) as he noticed part of it was frayed. Corey was professional, courteous and friendly. They also accept visa for payment. However I've now called these guys SEVEN times over the entire month of December to find out what's happening with my garage door opener that they came and looked at, which was having issues. Every time I get a woman who is "new" and promises to get an update for me. She even said she'd cc me on her email to her boss asking for an update (which never happened). The problem I have is ZERO follow-up to get me a repair or replacement estimate or even a callback to say hey sorry this is taking so long. I am very pleased with the service provided by Metro Overhead Door. My driveway gate opener stopped working because the electronic control board failed. The system is apparently no longer sold locally. Only Metro Overhead Door was willing to service the system. They replaced the control board, but within a few months the new control board also failed. Considering the cost of a replacement system, it was worth another attempt to fix it. A second board was installed that has been working fine now for some months. There were issues that obligated neither Metro nor the manufacturer to reimburse the cost of the failed replacement board. I was fully informed beforehand of the warranty issues. Even though there was no clear prospect that the manufacturer would refund the cost of the failed board and Metro did not stand to benefit from a refund (they were going to get paid for the job, refund or not), they took the trouble to request a refund, and did not invoice me while it was pending (a period of months). In the end, the manufacturer reimbursed the cost of the failed board. I greatly appreciate the reimbursement and the efforts of Metro on my behalf. Apart from the matter of the refund, I found Metro to be friendly, open, and responsive and the service excellent. read more

My garage door let out an almost unbearable squeal as it closed. Think fingers on a chalkboard on steroids. Jim from Metro Overhead Door quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad bearing on one side. To access it, he had to remove very small sections of drywall, which he cleaned up afterwards. He worked efficiently and was mindful of the time. He also explained some basic garage door maintenance and recommended I use silicone spray to lubricate the hinges and rollers, while demonstrating the proper technique. In this economy, you really can't get much done in any service (whether it's garage doors or a quick refrigerator repair) for under $200, so I don't fault them for the price, but mention that as it's good keep in mind for budgeting. I'm very happy to have a garage door that does not let out a ghastly shriek every time it closes, and appreciate the good service and attention to detail of Metro Overhead Door. read more

I had been manually opening and closing my garage door for the past few years. The other day my garage door would only go up about 2 feet . Upon further inspection, I could see that one of the springs was broken. So looking through YELP , I decided to call Metro Overhead Door. The scheduler on the phone was great, fitting me in the next day. The next day, they even called earlier than expected as they were ahead of schedule. Grant arrived from Metro Overhead Door and went right to work. Grant was very knowledgeable , efficient and helpful with any questions I asked. The price they quoted was totally worth it and reasonable. And the price I was originally quoted. Grant took about 1.4 hours to complete the job which included measuring, cutting the spring, installation and testing. I am very happy to have a fixed door and highly recommend this company. 7/31/19.. I heard a strange noise when opening the garage door. Begins as I had just had Metro Overhead Door out 2 months ago, I called them again. They scheduled me the next door with the same man (Grant) that had installed the new spring. Awesome service....I cannot recommend Metro highly enough. They are fast, reliable and very cost efficient. A Monday morning accident (involving a Jeep, garage door and 71 Camaro) is not the best way to start a work week off. The door was ripped off the tracks but by mid morning, Mark had squished us in his busy schedule and gotten the door secured until we could replace it. After getting 4 other quotes, their prices are very reasonable and the level of professional, customer service Mark and Alex provided is above any other. Very satisfied with Metro Overhead, from the first call on a Saturday to the repair visit on Monday. The quote over the phone was clearly explained at 165 for a single spring replacement, this includes labor - it was nice not to have someone say "we'll see once we get there, and we'll charge for you 20.00 just for coming out for a quote" The phone person also clearly gave us options that we can get weekend repairs, but here is the price for that. (it was double) The repair visit was preceded by a notice call 30 minutes before The repair person worked quickly and explained what he was doing, didn't try to upsell on other services or scare us into unneeded repairs - which was important because I had left my wife home to over see this while I was away at work. Used Overhead Door for my second Liftmaster installation. Once again, timely, professional, courteous and efficient. Makes one wonder why some other businesses can't figure this out? Oh, and another awesome sub-review. My daughter accidentally knocked one of the sensors out of sync and I could not figure out for the life of me why I couldn't get it set correctly. BE AWARE, METRO does not honor their own words!! My 2018 experiences with METRO was disastrous. The gate broke down again, again, and again after their services during the months April, May, July, and August. I paid 5.25 hour services (rates were above the market!) out of 6.75 hour billed and disputed the balance 1.50 hour for it was fixing what was repaired earlier and within 90 days service warranty granted by customer service on 5/31. Without resolution, the Accounting department turned the invoice in dispute to the collector! METRO invoices lack consumer protection. Further, they bill per their own job description, clock their own billing hours! METRO customer service department is not in sync with the Accounting, and vice versa. No consumer should go through what I have had. read more

Our double door had a spring break (no, not the fun kind). I called their Aloha location, spoke to a nice lady who gave me a set price right away. They properly stated that both would need to be replaced. The price was more than fair, and they could have it fixed the same day. Also, has a year warranty. The tech was a nice guy who knew his stuff. He even greased the whole drive which made it about 50% less noisy, that ruled. He then gave me some tips to lengthen the life of my door and opener.
