Social media makes it hard to distinguish between a 'famous' surgeon and a truly skilled one. I found Dr. Roy on a random Facebook find. Despite that random start, I felt immediately comfortable with him during my first consultation. He understood my goals immediately and he explained the process and expectations clearly. Still, I worried if "comfortable" meant "the best," but after two other consultations, no one else compared. He didn't upsell me on a lip lift, full face lift or upper eye blepharoplasty, which I appreciated. So we agreed on a neck, lower face, and brow lift. For context: I'm 55 and felt my neck looked 70, even though my face passed for early 40s (I was told ;-)). I felt like I didn't need a lot of work on my face. Hence, I was scared of looking "overdone" or worse than before. Dr. Roy is incredibly skillful - I am stunned by the results. My husband even says I look younger than on our wedding day 17 years ago! The result is so natural. I just look like my old self. The team (including Christine & Alex) is genuinely kind--not just "customer service" nice. Beyond his skill, the care was personal. Dr. Roy gave us his personal cell number and responded instantly during those first few days after surgery when my husband reached out to him with concerns/questions. My advice? Follow every pre & post-op instruction. They aren't optional. The first few days are tough, and you definitely need help, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Dr. Roy is a top-tier surgeon who doesn't need a Beverly Hills office or flashy marketing to prove it. Don't be fooled by follower counts and constant postings by other doctors that just lead to price gouging. If you're looking for a plastic surgeon, look no further than Dr. Roy.

I then received another bill in the mail for the same treatment and called the one 800 billing office. That office is located in the Philippines. They were unable to help me so I called Kalia Dermatology front desk 5 to 6 times over three weeks. I was told no one could help me and that the office manager would reach out. It is now months later and no one has reached out to me to try to help me resolve this billing issue. I am uncertain what to do at this point but to physically go to the office and try to get some help. It's unfortunate. The office has such good physicians, but they're billing an office. Staff are rated a one out of 10. unless something changes, it's time to move on.

Dr. Badame had availability on the 31st and I took the appointment with very low expectations. The staff were welcoming but nothing extra ordinary. You have to provide your insurance card and driver's license and if your DL is electronic, you have to send it via email to the office staff. Wifi is very bad in the office so I had to go outside to do it and it was pouring. I wish I knew about this ahead of time. After a reasonable wait, considering that it was a doctor's office, I was taken to a room and the RN asked me about my concerns etc., and after a short while, I saw Dr. Badame. He is very personable and knowledgeable. He immediately had an answer to the issues that I was there for and recommended some cream and asked me to come back in 3 months. Since the cream that the doctor prescribed would most likely not be covered by insurance, the front desk staff recommended Wellness Pharmacy that would have it for much cheaper than a CVS or a Walgreens. I wanted to try my insurance first and so they sent it to CVS and when CVS confirmed the price for the cream, I called the office back and asked them to send it to the Wellness Pharmacy and they did so and I received a text confirming the same. The waiting room I was directed to had a screen with very useful information on caring for your skin, practical advise etc. while I waited. There was also a notice posted in the room about making sure that each patient asked all the questions they had and to leave satisfied and I liked that. A lot of doctor's offices try to rush you out and I didn't feel that way here. I would recommend him!

I checked with my friend at a different hospital and she told me to contact the hospital and there is listed rates for different kinds of visits and she cannot overcharge like this. Resolving billing and follow-up issues with the doctor's office and hospital turned out to be quite frustrating and time-consuming, which added to the overall negative experience. While I understand that medical opinions and costs can vary, I felt that both the pricing and the overall experience did not meet expectations. I would gently advise other patients to ask detailed questions about treatment recommendations and costs upfront to avoid any surprises.

I had a very deep skin cancer on my nose that needed to be taken out and reconstructed . It took over 100 stitches to properly graft the area taken care of and one month later it is healing beautifully. My nose feels better each day and I've been in to see the Dr.- four times since the surgery for follow up visits to make absolutely sure the graft is taking well and the healing is the way he wants it. Follow up visits will continue , as he personally wishes to follow the healing process in detail. This man cares more than any surgeon I've had for previous procedures. As important as the surgeon's skill is his long term staff. Paulette, Mani and Sandy have been with the Dr. from the beginning of his practice and travel with him between San Jose and Modesto to take exceptional care of all patients.
