I have a mole that I would like to remove. I have insurance, could I be covered for that procedure?

Hi Karla! Thank you for reaching out. If the removal is deemed medically necessary it should be covered by your insurance. For more information please contact the office, 201-861-4226.

Picture of a burnt upper lip from one laser session. I still have this scar. It's not a "false"…read morereview as he would say. I was in pain after this session and my coworkers and patients saw the boil on my upper lip after leaving this place. As a healthcare provider myself, I find any doctor that doesn't take a patient complaint seriously very sketchy.

I began losing weight this summer after my annual medical exam revealed hyper tension, high…read morecholesterol, and obesity. Initially 230 lbs, I removed certain medications, made diet adjustments, and regular walks. I was able to shed pounds...massive amounts of weight. And it was brutal, because the cravings were tugging me into breaking my new regimen. Also, I work in a rather shitty industry (I babysit CEOs of failing companies), where the stress levels can send you to the hospital if not directly to the morgue. By the time I reached the 182 lbs, somewhere in September, my knees stopped hurting, I could walk 2 miles without passing out, and dropped from stage 3 hypertension to barely below stage 1. I had loose skin and remaining fat hanging on my back and midsection, that still made it uncomfortable to bend down and tie my shoes. Also my shitty job didn't allow me to take PTO so, I needed a clinic to operate on a weekend. DR. Khan and his team ticked the boxes, and after researching liposuction and watching YouTube videos on the procedure, I decided to book an appointment. The Weehawken location is cute. I love the Edgewater area. It is a relaxing, clean, brand new neighborhood right on the water. The procedure is local anesthesia and it took no more than two hours. It began at 8 am and i was home by 10.30 am. And the area treated was large, so it is amazing Dr. Khan did it in such short time. You are given pasties and a pair of disposable underwear. The doctor marks the areas that need to be treated. Then you are laid down on the operating table, and incisions are made for the cannula to enter. The operation was manageable, some areas were more painful than others, and it depends on the person. The Valium helped a lot along with more sedatives. It is a very safe procedure and it goes very fast. There are no open wounds. The incisions heal quickly and you are given an adequate amount of antibiotics two weeks prior to the surgery. Make sure you follow the doctor's advice like the Bible. I did, and I'm healing well. They will give you Oxycodone for post surgery pain. I did not need it at all. I think that if the surgeon is excellent, there is no need of pain killers. That's how I knew I had made the right decision. Besides the soreness and the discomfort, I was able to manage without opiates. Also, wearing faja will drastically alleviate the pain. I had a protein rich diet, with zinc and vitamin c, absolutely no carbs, and one week after the operation I was feeling great. I did not develop bumps or odd wrinkles on the treated areas. It is the midsection of a former obese woman, but I am kind to myself and did not expect a 6 pack to pop out. I am grateful to be able to tie my shoes and being able to walk and do chores around the house instead of living in a pigsty ridden with empty vodka bottles and pizza boxes. The lipo really motivated me to cook at home, control portions, take care of myself, really evaluate what I want in my life/career, and tell my boss to fuck off. Go to Dr. Khan for lipo and follow his team's advice to the T.

Today was the first time visiting this location and I just know this will be where I will be doing…read moremy remaining sessions. The place itself seems identical to the Williamsburg location but I like this one better. The receptionist was very friendly and helped me to schedule all of my appointments on the same date so I'm not coming to Laser Away a million times like I work here lol (not sure why they were scattered out to begin with) She also informed me of the update where we can be in the sun before/ after laser. I was concerned how was I going to be outside this summer with 8 treatments remaining. Glad it won't be an issue now. The woman who did my laser (I wish I would have gotten her name) was very informative and made me feel comfortable. This was my second session so I'm still pretty new. I added on a new service, my upper lip (because why be hairless everywhere else and still have a mustache?!) and the woman walked me through what it would feel like and even did a test on my neck before we began- I appreciated that. She was thorough and took her time making sure to get every spot. I already booked my next appointment and I can't wait to come back! I've seen amazing results after the first session so I can't wait to see if any hair grows back now.

Storytime: removing my former 5 star review because laseraway is DOWN BAD... story time: tonight…read morethe "manager" yona wanted to leave early so she called me at 655p to tell me she was cancelling my 7p appointment booked weeks ago and that I planned my work schedule, childcare and plans with friends around- I had already driven 30 minutes to get there and was around the corner. She then yelled at me when I suggested I should receive some sort of compensation for the severe inconvenience, told me I was out of luck because I already paid for the service and then hung up on me. Every single laseraway employee I've ever met has told me they are looking for a new job and hate working there and clearly it's managers like yona driving away good employees and customers. I'm shocked she still has a job with customer service/managerial "skills" like I saw tonight, but hopefully she enjoyed getting off early tonight on June 23 2026. Avoid and take your business elsewhere unless you want your appt cancelled without notice 5 minutes before so the manager can tell you she doesn't care because you already paid for the appt, hang up on you and then leave early.
