I went back into Schweiger Derm because I felt the most confident with the information and treatment ideas I had initially received. I had made my initial appointment in a rush and I will admit I was hesitant for a few reasons but within moments of my exam, I felt at ease. Alexandra is confident and smart and was very honest about my condition. I had done a fair amount of research on my own. She gave me a treatment plan and slowly but surely my nightmare condition resolved itself. Who knows how long I would have been dealing with this issue had it not been for my visit here. Everyone on the staff is so sweet and patient and kind and they made my life that much easier by recommending a pharmacist who filled my script same day and delivered to my door - what a luxury. I can't say enough kind words about everyone I've encountered at Schweiger and am truly thankful for the wonderful care I received. 10+ stars!

I went for an appointment and signed the paperwork ahead of time. When I arrived, I had additional paperwork and if you read the fine print, it's absolutely crazy that they can share your health information and sell or use for educational purposes. You do not have a way to opt out of that. Because I wouldn't sign this, I wasn't allowed to see a doctor and was turned away. I was alright with signing basic paperwork but I didn't want my medical information and photos to be used for data or sharing purposes. Read the fine print everyone. It was very difficult to request even a hard copy to review to bring home with me. I did speak with someone I believe her name was Alexandra? She was very professional and assisted me as best as she could. It didn't change that I couldn't see the doctor when I needed medical assistance. In the past, I have gone for skin screenings here and without being notified or asked- I had a group of five students come into the room when I was laying on a table. This was feedback I provided that was upsetting and in my chart I mentioned in the past that I didn't want this without being asked first.

Rather than treat my daughter & bill me or my insurance once active, the office ignored us, mistreated & humiliated us, refusing to help or treat us. My insurance is now active & there is not a chance I will ever go back for myself or my kids.

She missed an area that I wanted her to look at and said I could leave. All in all the appointment took about 15 minutes after the 20 minute wait. I left wondering if I should have seen her husband instead. For my liking this trip to the dermo was not thorough enough.

I then asked how much the appointment will be and they told me 350.00. When I arrived to my appointment I waited for another hour and 15 minutes to be seen (mind you I just had a baby and it's hard to get away for even a 1 hr appointment- let alone 2.5 hours) Eventually Dr. markowitz walks in and looks at my nose for 1 second and says 'I can't laser that I don't know what it is! We'll have to biopsy it.' I said 'well you told me last year to just come back in the fall to laser it.' She goes, 'how can I laser it if I don't know what it is?' (I'm thinking 'okay well why did you tell me to just come back in the fall to laser it if you didn't know what it was back then?!) I said to her, 'I can't do it today because I don't have a referral so I'll have to reschedule.' I went back to the front desk and made an appointment for 2 weeks later. The front desk helped me do that and I was free to go. Today I get a call from their front desk telling me I owe them 400.00 for a consult fee and that I should pay it at my next appointment. I asked the woman on the phone why didn't anyone charge me when I was rescheduling for the biopsy and she says, 'I don't know.' I asked, 'why didn't they tell me I would be charged 400.00 on top of the 350.00 when I first made the appointment. Rita at the front desk told me that they usually 'waive the consult fees for established patients' but then she retracted and said she didn't say that when it came up a few minutes later. Rita then said it was my fault because I didn't bring a referral- IT WAS THEIR OFFICE THAT TOLD ME NOT TO BRING ONE BECAUSE IT WAS COSMETIC Do not go here!
