    A Lame store
    Josh S.

I've had enough experiences at this QFC to say with confidence: something isn't right. On multiple occasions, I've been followed, watched, and treated with blatant suspicion by staff--first a manager, then recently a security guard and others. I wasn't loud. I wasn't disruptive. I was just shopping. But from the moment I walked in, it was clear I was being stereotyped. The energy? Off. The respect? Absent. I do my best to stay calm and collected, but being profiled like that--humiliated without cause--can push anyone to their limits. It nearly did. And that's what I'm trying to avoid. I'm not writing this to stir drama. I'm writing this because everyone deserves to be treated with basic human dignity, regardless of how they look, talk, or dress. If you're serious about serving the community, QFC, you need to take this seriously. Your staff need training--not just on customer service, but on bias, respect, and how to de-escalate, not provoke. Until then, I can't recommend this location. I walked in for groceries, not judgment. NO STARS if applicable

This QFC is nice for a few reasons. It is part of a large plaza of other stores and because of this they allow validated parking. This is a nice offering, that lasts up to 4 hours. If you do some shopping then feel like grabbing some Starbucks, some things for your pet or do some banking and boutique shopping to name a few, you can do so all in one trip. Just don't forget to validate your ticket or you get charged $3. That said, there is a nice parking garage that has plenty of spaces and allows for grocery pick up. At this QFC there are multiple entrances. There are two entrances from main level one of which has Free 10-minute pick up parking, there are elevators and stairs entrances and another with an escalator that brings you to the front of the store. There are many QFC's and thus far, this is the first one I've seen that has this many entrances and therefore exits. What I also like about this particular QFC is that they hire a lot of special needs workers. There are several throughout the store, doing well with their duties and always pleasant when spoken to or asked for help with something in the store if they can. This goes for most of the staff. Not sure if all the QFCs have this as I've only been to a couple so far, but there is a manager's special rack where I've scored some real discounted goods in or around aisle 10. So, for being a large sized QFC complete with Starbucks, multiple entrances, validated parking and hiring folks with special needs. This QFC is A-ok.

Am I in South Lake Union? Because I feel like I am when I step into this QFC in the Kirkland Urban. Anyone else remember when in this very spot of Kirkland Urban there used to be a freakin' TGIF's and people actually went there to get drinks and hang? Now all of a sudden, guys with too much gel in their hair are frolicking around Kirkland. K, enough of that. But seriously, this is one of the nicest QFCs I've been to. Yes, QFC is my main grocer in Bellevue, but am thinking the downtown Bellevue location has a long ways to go with this branch around. The store is very open, spacious with an outdoor patio, adjacent to a bar! You can drink at QFC now, apparently. Order some Tutta Bella pizza, which QFC partners with, as one section of the hot food bar area is dedicated to making wood-oven pizzas. LEGIT! The selection is the best here. Way more specialty items than what I've seen at other QFCs, an air-conditioned pod that you can put your dog in (wtf) and designated underground parking that's free when you shop here. If I ever need groceries while in Kirkland, I know exactly where to go.

The food from the deli was good. They have many fresh produce selections. The service was wonderful and friendly. The ambiance is a grocery store.

Five stars for Jamison st the QfC bar who's great selection of beers on tap, wines and even some sparklings and a frozeh- all served with a great smile. We sat outside enjoying our drinks along with a pizza from Tutta bellla. The pizza was OK. You could share it if you were not that hungry or each get one. The gal that took our order was lovely in her cat mask. She aims to please. It did concern me that one of the gentleman making the pizza did not wear his mask properly but he did so when I pointed If you're preparing the food you really need to wear the mask properly - that means over your nose. I will go back and see if It happens again I'm hesitant writing this top star review because it is already so popular - :) already hard to get a table outside., (but u can inside) , prices are phenomenal at the bar and Jamison is awesome. IE i'd like to keep this treasure all to myself, it's already so busy and popular. However for and if you're reading this yelp review I owe it to you to share this gem. And make sure you knew how fabulous this part of this QFC is!

Newly opened a couple of weeks ago, just a few blocks from the Kirkland waterfront. As expected, everything is new with some new wrinkles, such as the made to order pizzas and an indoor outdoor bar. I saw a wine tasting area as well. Cool space. Considering the cost of retail space in the area, they packed a lot of stuff into the space. I liked having the produce area up front. And the trippiest thing was the pick your own mushrooms. For now the underground parking is free, as they are finishing up the area.

SAFEWAY @ KIRKLAND…read more This used to be one of my favorite Safeway locations in Washington! It's spacious, has great produce, and items. It has however changed over the time, the staff don't seem friendly, I've walked in a couple times and just been fully glared at by staff in the front. Bathrooms are dirty and it's pretty sticky floors. There is also workers smoking on the side of Safeway outside right by the Handicap, no issue with smoking, but they are ALWAYS lingering around where customers are walking to the car. There is also homeless people always out front where you enter 124th street. Other than that, the selection is great, there is a Starbucks in the store as well, and the produce is fresh. I really enjoy the bakery items, they are delicious and the workers are always kind there!

And the location is right on a busy stretch of NE 85th Street that is close to I-405. The customer service was great. I had mistakenly picked up the wrong box of berries that were not on sale and told the self-checkout clerk that I would run back to the produce area to grab the right ones. When I came back, the clerk offered to ring my groceries up herself. I really appreciate how she went above and beyond. Little gestures like this help to rebuild customer loyalty.

But the lunch omakase special is what I really wanted I think. But even so. The poke bowl was mixed. I have to unfortunately knock off the stars/taste because the rice I got was literally the worst rice I've ever had touching raw fish. The rice was like hard and stale. I even had a clump that looked like it was the burnt part from leaving it on the cooker for too long and it couldn't bite it. I know this place is for the fish, but there's a bare minimum expectation on rice quality. And the fish itself was good? Maybe cuz it's the poke and not the omakase (so mixed chopped pieces) but there were pieces that tasted super fresh and delicious and then there were pieces that had so much tendon I couldn't bite through it. The folks there were super nice and friendly especially since I had no idea what to order. Just wish I was more delighted by the meal, especially cuz it was like $18 poke bowl. I'll give it another try with hopes it's better next time.

They have uniquely sourced items that are from Poland, Ukraine, and neighboring countries, as well as familiar items like house made baklava. When I shop there, I mostly concentrate on their dry goods such as sauces in jars, sweets, and easy to cook foods like frozen perogies (dumplings). Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. For me, this store doesn't serve the deli or the produce function in its name. But I do enjoy exploring their different items and choosing something new-to-me to try. That is good enough.

Everything was like gone, and I mean they are going in a whole production decrease. It was in like every isle, from ice cream, to chips, to cereal. Quite empty. They also had sample stands in two areas of the whole foods, completely empty and trash inside of where samples would be in. Service was ok. The people in front of us had a QR code for their Whole Foods app, and it took two workers and a manager to try to fix it, didn't work so they completely opened a new lane for the people behind them. Ambiance was nice, it was most of it pretty organized and well put together. I wouldn't come back to this location, since it seems all their production is just gone. Today, 06/26, I went down the drinks aisle and there were various vendors and/or employees (hereafter "vendors") putting away merchandise. Most were to one side so as to not block traffic. One idiot had a cart on one side of the aisle and then merchandise directly next to it on the floor thus completely blocking traffic. When I approached, it appeared to me that he was quickly picking up the merchandise on the floor so he could move the cart and thus allow traffic to flow. Oh, what a fool was I to believe he was removing his traffic block. He looked up to me and said something like, "Oh, I didn't see you there. YOU should have said something." Examine the situation. 1) He did not apologize for creating the block to begin with. 2) And of course, he failed to prevent a block to begin with. 3) He says he didn't see me. Let me try that when I get in a traffic accident. Would my failure to see be a defense? Or the reason for the accident? 4) He then blames me. The whole issue is apparently because I didn't say something. Apparently, the burden was on me to tell him not to block traffic to begin with. And you know why he blocked traffic to begin with? Because he can. Because no manager at the store manages. And you know for how much longer he will do it? Until the day he is fired. He is not customer oriented; he is task oriented. He doesn't the see the customer as the reason for his job, he sees the customer as a burden to his job. He likely arrives in relief at the store knowing that the manager is always nowhere to be found. No vendor in a properly managed store would ever attempt to be so stupid as to have merchandise across the floor to completely block customer traffic.
