My cat's last day was in the care of this clinic and I had been taking him to another office but the care there wasn't personal. I saw Dr.Ennis, she was honest and empathetic. I wish I had seen her a long time ago. I wish the other clinic had just said he was in a lot pain instead of come back in 6 months. Today, I put him down today. It honestly just meant a lot someone was just transparent with him. RIP DAVEY. You gave me the world.

We put our 15 year old kitten down yesterday. He's brought us so much joy and love over the last 15 years. We are still in shock and definitely in pain considering our tremendous loss. I'm taking the time out to write this today, first and foremost, because I wanted to thank the doctor and staff who took such compassionate care for us in our time of need. Our kitty had been sick for a while, he's had surgery (at a prior location) but he just wasn't improving overall and his health continued to decline. Since being seen at this location, he had a better quality of life for his last year despite his fragility. Yesterday we had to rush him in and we were given the news that he was in pretty critical condition and we just didn't want to subject him to the long road of "let's see if this will make him better" test, procedures, diet changes, possible chemo ect..... for a kitty who had been really tough, but it was clearly his time. I know as a pet owner there are things I could have done differently to extend his life starting from when he was young but I am grateful that we got to say our goodbyes with him till his last heartbeat and breath, comfortably, and with a very clear explanation of what to expect with the euthanasia process. Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of your furry loved one and I'm forever grateful for the compassion this clinic showed us.

Dr. Natarajan is the best! I took my little baby here after moving a few months ago and Dr. Natarajan took such great care of her! The front desk staff is always friendly, albeit they are always busy, but never too busy to help!

Trying hard to pick up the food that was dropped on the cone... Cream should have been given a Garfield ribbon instead lol

Both my cats love Metro Vet!! I had Cream neutered a couple of weeks ago. When I picked him up, he looked happy so I was sure he received good care after the surgery. Since that was my first time having my cat neutered, Metro Vet provided me thorough instructions about the things I should pay attention to after I take him home. I also received a follow-up phone call after about 2 days to check on Cream. They do care about Cream!! I'm glad I picked Metro Vet for my cats.

    Waiting for her appointment.

I've been taking my dog here for years and was referred by my two friends who both take their cats here. We've all had wonderful experiences with them. My dog is a nervous old girl and they always handle her with care. Highly recommend.

Liner is folded up when it should be unfolded before laying my cat inside so that he's kept warm.

Despite being an inconsistent patient over the years, WLVC re-established us quickly and delivered incredibly attentive, compassionate, research-driven care during her final weeks, with an on-staff insurance specialist handling all the claims paperwork for reimbursement. I was extremely anxious and worried that whatever she ingested could seriously harm her. From the moment we arrived, the team was more than supportive. They saw her immediately, reassured us, and after scans confirmed she'd be okay, walked us through everything calmly and clearly. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared. They even fell in love with her, which helped ease my nerves. What truly set them apart was the post-visit care. During recovery, being able to email back and forth with the doctor including sending photos of anything questionable was a game changer. Responses were quick, thoughtful, and reassuring. We have a regular day-to-day vet, but this is now officially our puppy's ER/Urgent Care.

He is an extremely shy cat who curls up into himself out of fear. The vet and vet techs are always super gentle with him because of how fearful he is. I had him neutered at this location without issue, and the price was reasonable. I have also taken him in for anal gland expression and it was a quick tech visit, so only $32. They were able to get me in on a weekend. One thing I like in particular is that they have their own parking lot. It is small but most places around that location you have to find street parking. This clinic is also responsive via email, and has helped me order flea meds through Chewy. I will continue to bring my cat here and also consider having his teeth cleaned next year, because their prices are fair and their staff is friendly.

Dr. Beauchamp and their team provided such respect and care to my boy. They took a look at him and told me that he did not look well and was needed to be admitted to the hospital right away. My refill ran out and they made me schedule an appointment. In the past my vetinarians had no problem giving me a few pills to hold my dog over until her appointment so she didn't wet herself. But this time they didn't do that. So I went to my appointment the very next day (less than 24 hours after my call) which was scheduled for 2:30pm, we got there early. At 2:46pm I asked the receptionist if they knew when someone would see us, they simply said no, without even trying to find out. At 2:53pm the Manager Manny came in to say someone would be with me shortly but it wasn't their fault because I was early, they somehow had me scheduled for 3pm even though I showed them my email confirmation for 2:30pm. I was finally seen after more than 30 minutes of waiting. After I spoke to the vet who did not seem to know my dogs medical records, they thought the scar on her leg was from an ACL surgery (which she never had), it was from cancer. They were over 30 minutes late and couldn't even read her medical records! Then the vet knocked a glass jar on the ground and tried to move us to another exam room before sweeping it up, I actually had to hask them to clean the broken glass on the floor before letting my dog walk through it. Then towards the end of the exam I noticed a sign on the wall obstructed by fake flowers and a dog treat jar that stated exams are recorded with video and AI is used to assist them, and if you want to opt out of the AI you had to let them know prior to your exam, but you can't read the warning until your exam has already started. When I asked for the video to be deleted the veterinarian said I should have said something before, when I pointed out the fact that I didn't know about the warning until the exam had already begun she got upset, raised her voice and said they'd delete it amd ahe stormed out of the exam room and slamed the door. I asked the incredibly rude manager Manny who I could reach out to about my experience, he sais it was a corporate owned facility. Like that was an excuse to be unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend this place! Edit: Village West Vet corporate tried to blame me in their response to my negative review. They were rude, unprofessional, unsafe and uninformed. They told me I couldn't receive my prescription until bloodwork was done. After I left I noticed I didn't have blood work paperwork, yet I had my prescription so I called back. They said it could take up to 48 hours to get the results, yet had no problem sending me home with a controlled substance which cost much more in their office than online through Chewy. If you don't won't to deal with a corporate owned vet with no feelings in the West Town area of Chicago, I recommend Ukrainian Village Veterinary Center, owned by Dr. Danylo Butenko, DVM, CVA, an independent vetinarian.

I recently requested a refill for my cat's prescription diet, which is medically necessary due to a severe intolerance to regular food that causes bloody diarrhea. I was initially told the refill could not be authorized because my cat had not been seen in over a year. That statement was incorrect. My cat was seen in July 2025, and the staff eventually acknowledged that fact. After that, I was told that because my cat's regular veterinarian had moved to a different location, a new veterinarian would need to see him before the prescription could be renewed. Frankly, that explanation makes little sense. The entire purpose of a veterinary practice is continuity of care. My cat's diagnosis, history, and response to treatment are thoroughly documented in his medical record by one of your own veterinarians. If a documented medical condition and treatment plan established by your own provider cannot be relied upon by another veterinarian within the same practice, what does that say about the confidence you have in your own medical records and clinicians? Are clients expected to start over every time a veterinarian changes locations? Should established diagnoses suddenly become questionable because the original veterinarian is no longer in the building? That rationale undermines the very concept of a group practice. What is most troubling is that despite being informed that interruption of this diet could result in my cat developing bloody diarrhea, there was no apparent urgency, compassion, or effort to help. The response I received felt focused on generating another office visit rather than ensuring continuity of care for a patient with a known medical condition. The front desk staff appeared completely unbothered by the situation, despite understanding the potential consequences for my cat. Meanwhile, I continue to receive marketing emails and promotions for care plans, which seem to receive more attention than the needs of actual patients. After more than four years as a loyal client, I am deeply disappointed. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this practice. I will be transferring all of my pets' care to West Loop Veterinary Care. Shame on you for treating a loyal client--and more importantly, a sick animal--this way.
