Called Metz Air Control regarding my air conditioning system not working. The person who answered the phone was able to schedule me for a last minute Saturday appointment. Jorge Hurtado and another employee (sorry, I didn't catch his name) showed up within my scheduled time frame. They were both professional, wore paper booties every time they came into my house. This diagnosed my issue and suggested a replacement system. Unfortunately I am unable to replace my entire system. Jorge was very honest and explained everything in detail to me. My 29 year old house heater/AC was barely working. I looked at some Yelp reviews and gave Metz Air Control a call. The service technician, Pedro, came out and troubleshoot the problem. He found the gas valve was sticking causing the intermittent heat cycle, the circuit board was burnt, and recommended replacing the ignitor. After talking over the repair cost and age of the furnace, Pedro gave us both the repair cost and cost of installing a new Trane furnace/AC evaporator unit and comprehensively explained everything they would do during the install. I asked Pedro about the A/C compressor behind the house and he said it was fine. I appreciated he and Metz didn't try to upsell something I didn't need. My wife and I decided it made financial sense to replace the old furnace and we set the install date. The installers came promptly at 8:30 on the install date and got to work. They were done by 2:30 and did a fantastic job. The installation was much more professional looking than the original builders crappy install. Hermondo (sp?) and assistant did a great job and thoroughly explained the new unit and thermostat. They did a great job cleaning up the work area and hauled off the old furnace. Absolutely love the new heater! I didn't realize how poorly the old unit was heating until I got the new Trane furnace. Great job Metz and the whole professional Metz TEAM! I had problems with water leaking in closet where the unit is located and Jon Metz inspected the unit, assesed the problem and advised me that it was a clogged line.
