Cannot say enough great things about this family run business! They were punctual, affordable, friendly, and the food was fantastic. Everyone at my party raved about how kind the people were and how great the food was. We had lots leftover, and we are just waiting for an excuse to hire them again. Order from the food truck near chevron by Main St. and E. Atherton Dr. Ordering was easy and they accept card as well but prefer cash. Service took about 10 minutes since it was only one person taking orders and cooking the food. I liked my quesadilla and the tacos were okay but they were a bit salty and over seasoned. My sister and I did a lot of taste testing before going with Meva's Tacos and More. We hired her for my mom's 90th birthday party, and wow, did they deliver. The server, was right on time. Set-up was quick, and efficient. The smells from his grilling had us salivating. We had carne asada, chicken, and Al pastor. Everyone got served with plenty of condiments to choose from. My favorite was the cheese quesadillas. They were delish!! I highly recommend them. The owner is and was awesome , and VERY accommodating. We tried the food in Modesto but she delivered from Manteca. It saved me a trip going all the way to San Jose Oh, and her prices were reasonable...another plus. Kudos to the young man who was grilling in 100+ weather. read more

I can't say enough great things about Meva Tacos and More. We have now had them for 3 events and the service, food, and customer service were nothing but AMAZING!!! The food was always amazing where people couldn't stop talking about it for days afterward. I guarantee if you book Mevas for your party you won't be disappointed and your guest will love you for it. Once they are done they clean each time, so it's just as clean as it was before. Highly recommend read more

Eva and her team catered a celebration of life for us this past weekend for 100 guests. We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience! She was very responsive right from the start. She provided specific details on what items we would get. Scheduling and confirmation were very smooth and well done. She and her team showed up right on time and set everything up, so all we had to do was uncover the containers and enjoy. The hot food was hot, the cold fixings and salsas were cold, and everything was absolutely delicious. We hired Mevas for my sisters bridal party and it was sooooo seamless! We are so thankful for Mevas and the ease of everything. Everyone loved the food and we are loving the leftovers too. I've been fortunate enough to enjoy Mevas on numerous occasions. My go to was always the humongous Carne asada burrito or a Carne asada quesadilla. I'm super sensitive to spices and heat from chilies, but Meva encouraged me to try outside of my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! Her dishes are flavorful and delicious even without the heat (I simply can't do jalapenos), and the portions are generous. She offers all the extras (salsas, cabbage, jalapeños, and other stuff unknown to a wimp like me) you need if you want it hot and spicy. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect without it. Just when I was convinced that the Chili Verde was my favorite, I had the green chicken enchiladas. Then I tried her ceviche, and now am torn between all the dishes I've had. I'm not a huge taco fan so I haven't tried them, but my significant other and our friends love them. What impresses me the most is Meva's passion for cooking delicious food. She truly enjoys what she does, and her main concern is that her customers enjoy her food. It's a family business, and they're all wonderful people. Thank you, Meva, for broadening my horizons! (P.S. Mevas Tacos is quality, authentic, and absolutely delicious. We ordered catering for my son's birthday. Chicken, pastor, and Carne asada tacos. Along with cheese enchiladas, quesadillas, and a fresh salad. Guests were highly impressed with the flavor. The owner was responsive from the start and delivered our food packaged neatly and with care. I will definitely order again for my next event. I attended the grand opening on 10/01 @ Shasta Park ... I ordered and the lady stated it would take 10-15minutes for my order ( x1 Super Burrito) I wanted carne asada but she than said they only had chicken , pork and chorizo... I was okay with that and ordered chicken... TWO AND A HALF HRS PASS BY my order still wasn't done ... I came back an additional 30mins later and she had the nerve to tell me They were out Burritos , only thing they had were quesadillas like wtf. . I traveled all the way from Stockton to attend and for them to just brush me off with no compensation or anything was beyond me ! Service isn't really good . 10 STARS!!! We had Mevas Tacos cater our company picnic for about 200 guests this past weekend and they truly exceeded our expectations. The food presentation, quality, and quantity were excellent. They adapted to our changing RSVP increase in guest #'s extremely well and still remained well within our budget. Our menu we decided on: trays of; rice, beans, salsa, sliced veggies, onions, cilantro, chicken, carne asada, and pork selections along with two drink choices, horchata and limonade. The large team of hard-working, polite, and extremely helpful professional food servers and assistants really allowed us to focus on our picnic activities and ensure that our guests did not go home hungry and that the food was served hot. We even had plenty of food left over to send people home with to-go boxes. We strongly recommend you consider for your upcoming event!!! We had 3 meat tacos buffet style with all the fixings at my daughters birthday. There was more than enough food for everyone. And it was delicious! Let me say it again DELICIOUS! The toughest of food credits sang their praises at the party. We had a lot of no show guests and the ones that did come were standing in line to take leftovers home. If I could give 10 stars I would! Pat P. Eva and her team played a huge part in our son's very successful retirement party this afternoon. I Can't begin to describe how impressed our guests were with Meva's Catering services. The entire staff was so friendly and they all worked very hard to serve us a delicious dinner! That wasn't an easy task when the temperature was 110 today and they cooked outdoor! Food is amazing, their green salsa is on hit! Carne asada is seasoned perfectly. They have whole beans but will also do refried if you ask! Meva's just did my wifes 40th suprise Birthday party. They were amazing. Very professional. Right on time and patient with everything. There is extra elements when dealing with suprise Birthday like taking down the shade structure so my wife wouldn't notice. I must say I appreciate the extra effort to suprise my wife. The food was amazing! The 3 meats all were tender with great flavor and the sides were perfect. Loved the green salsa. Everyone had 3rds. They gave us the last call and made certain everyone had a full belly. Finaly when it was time wrap things up Meva's made sure we had the last of the meat made up into individual tacos. Those details are important for the people showing up late. If your looking for your next event Meva's is your choice. read more

Enjoyed them at a quinceanera that I attended last year so I booked them for my daughter's birthday party. They responded quickly and were on time. The food was amazing and we still had left overs to eat later that evening. Everyone enjoyed the food and their friendly conversations. They even accommodated one of my quest who had some diet restrictions. Would definitely recommend them and plan on using their services again in the future. Went to their taco Tuesday event in front of the pub. I had two tacos carne asada and one taco pastor. VERY small tacos for 1.75 a piece (or 3 for 5). The salsas were disappointing and the meat was super super salty. My husband said his carne super burrito was salty and dry. They offered to wipe down the grill prior to toasting my corn tortilla to help avoid cross contamination. The salsa bar is very clean, and the restaurant is spacious. I was tempted to try one of their refreshing agua frescas, but I had reached my sugar quota for the day. I think I've found my go to spot when I'm visiting Manteca.

Pastor had some nice char and was relatively tender. My favorite Al Pastor tacos pretty much always have some form/taste of pineapple but theirs to me just doesn't have it. Maybe it was drowned out by the salsa? The asada was fairly standard, nothing to write home about. Not especially tender or tough. Tad dry though. Of the regular tacos, the chicken was the most standoutish. Very moist and tender. On the negative though, it was VERY salty to the point where I almost didn't finish it. The quesabirria had some positives and negatives too. The tortilla was nicely done with just the right amount of crisp. The meat itself was a tad tough and dry though. And this is possibly the first time that I had a quesabirria that didn't come with consommé for dipping. Quesabirria just doesn't hit the same without it. And with quesabirria I also prefer that green salsa already inside it as opposed to putting it on after the fact. They had a table with all of the condiments and toppings like salsa and onions. I was more than happy to do it myself for the regular tacos. The horchata was so grainy and not refreshing at all. Not super sweet either so I guess that's a plus. Don't know how horchata is made; is it blended because if so it definitely needed to be blended even more. Or is it strained out? I don't know. The person who took my order was very pleasant though. They also got my food out pretty quickly. I don't think I could give them more than a 3/5 and that's a little generous.

Great flavor, fresh, and satisfying. You order your food at a small window. They tell you when your food is up and you seat yourself at the taco stand. Plenty of tables for indoor/outdoor dining. Hot sauce available on the tables. Friendly and polite service. Casual atmosphere where the food speaks for itself.

I explained that I was expecting a traditional quesadilla with cheese and meat and that this wasn't what I wanted. The employee told me that's how they normally make them, which is fine if that's their standard, but it wasn't communicated when ordering. What disappointed me was the lack of effort to resolve the issue. Rather than offering to remake it or correct the order, I was asked if I wanted to purchase another one. I wasn't looking to buy a second meal--I simply wanted the item I originally expected. The interaction left me feeling like customer satisfaction wasn't a priority, which was disappointing.

When we showed up on Father's Day, we waited outside from 8:55am - 9:15am but the doors never opened, so we had to find somewhere else to eat. It's worth noting that Tato's own website currently says they open at 8am on weekends (Google says 9am). Very disappointing since we drove over one hour to have a special breakfast here.

Had Meva's Tacos & More at a Tracy High Softball function and asked if they would be able to do lunch for San-i-Pak. Since it was days away I was not sure if it would be possible but Eva made it happen. San-i-Pak ordered the lunch boxes with chicken panini. pesto bacon and turkey avocado. They all came with chips and cookies. We also ordered the salad. Everything was so delicious! i highly recommend Meva's! We can not wait to have Meva's come back out again. I give 10 stars. The amount of the food was perfect for the guys in the shop. The customer service was great. From the second I requested a menu to placing my order to the delivery of our food. All great service! We had Mevas Tacos & More cater our son and daughter-in-laws wedding reception 8-11-18. They did an excellent job and the ladies were amazing. Tacos and all the fixings were hot and very yummy. There was nothing left over by the end of the night. We will definitely us them again!! (This is in Manteca. Don't know why it says I am from San Francisco) read more

Seriously the best damn salsa EVER!!! And their quesadillas? Holy moly! Anytime I'm in town I call Eva. Her lunch boxes are the best and you cannot best the price! The food is so great and authentic. We had Mevas come out to our house for a birthday party with about 25 people. We added quesadillas to the tacos and it was amazing! All meat was perfect, and the rice was the best rice I've ever had!
