I really enjoyed this establishment. We got great service. Nothing here is really over the top, but everything was good. The fajita was plentiful with veggies and shrimp. It didn't have much of a Mexican flavor, really, but had great fresh flavor. My friend got a chimichanga and some shrimp tacos. It ended up being a ton of food. But it was all tasty. We recently purchased a home in Jarrell, and, as such, we've had the opportunity to eat here 3 times now. Each one has been interesting in some aspect, but the first time we at there was, overall, the best experience we've had. Let me elaborate... Issues arise immediately upon entering the restaurant, as it's not seat yourself, there's a hostess stand, but there's literally ~never~ been a hostess at the stand...and not because they're seating another table, they just don't seem to staff the stand at all. We only stood there a few minutes the first time we visited, the second and third times were easily 5min before someone took notice and offered to seat us. If you sit outside on the patio, which we did on our second visit, you'll probably be forgotten about immediately, because the hostess won't tell the wait staff covering your section that she's seated someone new for them. When they do come around, it'll be infrequent. This place also really likes to nickel and dime you, which is sort of ridiculous. For instance, we always order the veggie fajitas cooked with no butter or oil (which they're happy to oblige, and I greatly appreciate), and you get to chose 2 sides/toppings from an approved list. We ~always~ order guac and pico and did so on our first visit. Our plate was delivered with pico & sour cream, and I mentioned to the guy who seems to be a manager there that we'd ordered guac instead of sour cream. He apologized and immediately brought out guac, but we later found out we were charged for the guac that we originally ordered and should have been included in our meal price. They're also super chintzy on the tortillas that come with their tortilla-requiring-foods. As mentioned, we always get the veggie fajitas to split, which are delicious, but they deliver them to the table with 2-3 tortillas, which, even if only one person was eating the skillet, it's not enough tortillas for the amount of food they bring. This plays into the nickel and diming...if you ask for more tortillas, like, just the amount required to eat the meal your ordered properly, you're gonna get charged for it, which happened on visit 2 & 3. On visit 3 we had 3 platters of tortilla-necessitating-food, and they literally only brought SIX tortillas. We asked for more, and they brought out 3 more, which still was insufficient, so we asked for more, and they brought out 2 more, so 10 tortillas split across 3 skillets piled with fajita style food. It was not enough. We just stopped asking and ate directly from the skillet. Still, we were charged for extra tortillas, which is insanity. Service here is spotty, too. Our second visit had the best waitress even if she didn't know we existed at first, but visit 3 was probably the worst. The waitress from visit 3 left multiple people with bone dry water and tea for significant portions of the meal, was party to the wartime-like rationing of tortillas, and would generally just disappear for huge swathes of time. The food here is decent, but they've definitely got some issues to sort out. We'll keep coming here coz there's not much else here, but it'd be nice to at least get the proper amount of tortillas included with your meal, and for the hostess station to either always be manned or for them to switch to seat yourself during slower times. Also worth mentioning for fellow vegans: we were originally told the refried beans didn't have animal product in them, but on our 3rd visit, a different waitress told us all their bean products have meat lard in them, so beware. Note: pile of veggie fajitas are pictured, so you can clearly see that 3-4 tortillas is not enough to make it through these piles-o-food. read more

This place was hopping. Food v is delicious I ordered the ribeye with rice and v beans ad guacamole and sour cream. Husband ordered the texas shrimp . Kids ordered the tampiquena plate and a flauta plate and also a small tortilla soup. Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Waitress was slammed with tables but still attentive to our table. They have a full bar but I l one th here Mexican drinks like the horchata and limonada. It's all around a great place to eat and people watch . As a regional business with multiple locations, this location is definitely doing things well. Waitstaff were excellent and attentive. Your mileage may not vary much because there's bound to be something good for even a picky eater. If I lived closer, I'd eat here often. But I'm passing through on my way back to Nashville as a former almost Texan. Arriving late on Superbowl night, there was still a reasonable crowd, the game on available TV screens, and room for us to be seated immediately. The idea was to stop for a quick meal and get back on the road. The menu had other ideas of queso, guacamole, flautas, and a chicken dish I've forgotten the name of. Getting back on the road quickly was a good plan. And, as plans go, it said goodbye and left us at the table ready for a siesta and still 100 miles from the hotel. First of all, the food isn't that great. The queso was served cold and the meal was just ok. The fajitas were cold and nothing special. Btw don't ask for shredded cheese they will charge you $2.00 for that. I was also charged for a soft drink I didn't receive and when I asked for it to be refunded I was told they can't do that. We just moved to Jarrell and wanted to try out this Mexican restaurant. It is nice inside but the food isn't. I tried out the Tres Amigos: a tostado, taco and quesadia with beans and rice. If you love beef as I do, you'll hate this dish. The meat was way overcooked, they substituted a 'burrito' for the taco but the rest was semi edible as all included the overcooked beef. Service was a passable '3'. I love Mexican food but won't return. On the other hand, wifey ordered the chicken taco bowl and really loved it. Margueritas were $8.00 and were avg. So it says they open at 9 on the weekends but if you call before 10:30 to get a breakfast burrito the answer you'll get is "call us in 30 minutes, we aren't open" and sometimes they do open earlier. Just frustrating that if you're gonna serve breakfast please open in time for breakfast. read more

Great place I stopped here driving home from Austin to Dallas and I was really impressed with the menu section. They cook meats really well here and have good plate presentation. I got the Mexicano. I couldn't even finish it. Large portions. Good price. The Beef enchilada is one of the best I've ever had and the beef taco was top 5 ever for beef tacos. This place is terrible. We were constantly waiting for our waitress. Ordered two pina coladas. One barely had any alcohol, the other was decent. Watched our waitress make a third one for a table across from us and she forgot to add alcohol. We ordered queso. The first one was runny and barely had any cheese, the second one was all beef. I tried this restaurant because I was told it was the best in Jarrell. I placed an order to go only to find out it was wrong when I returned home. On top of the incorrect order, the server packed queso & salsa in styrofoam cups which collapsed at the bottom of the bag making both items useless. After reaching out to the manager complaining about the situation, I was told that my credit card would be credited. That never happened. A big waste of my money. My son and I went in on a slow Sunday early afternoon. We were sat and a lady dropped of chips and salsa. We sat there over 10 minutes a server never came. A couple was sat directly behind us, right away a server came and took their drink orders. Never again will I attempt to go to this place.
