Always delicious food and wonderful service ! I love the family vibe here. I've tried lots of different dishes and recommend them all, love that they have weekly specials too.

I was expecting ok Mexican food and was welcomed with live music and $3.99 margaritas! A clean environment, well lit and good food! Our server was nice and well versed in the menu.

The food was delicious, people were very nice and helpful, and the place was beautiful, and I would 100% recommend and would come back again.

I always drive by and finally decided to make a stop for lunch. I'm glad I did because the service was great and food came out fast! Ordered everything for under $10. I shared the meal with my husband and he did the happy dance for it. Delicious and we will be back!

My wife and I happened upon this one as we searched for Mexican. We found it to be a great hole in the wall. Service was very prompt and chips and salsa brought out and even the highly sought after chip refill. We both opted for the 3 tamale supreme deal. They were pretty great and portion was just right. I would consider coming back for a bulk Togo order for a party. We both enjoyed our meal and had leftovers or as I call it second lunch! I would recommend as a more authentic experience.

A lot of food in eaten to take home to Inevitably be thrown away

So I hadn't eaten all day and starving it we walked through the doors to wait to be seated as we were waiting someone popped up and had us follow her to which she just placed silverware and walked off with nothing being said so as we picked up our silverware to sit somewhere more pleasant and not in the middle of the room our guy server was nice and got our order taken quickly and food arrived promptly sadly that was the next downfall the food quality isn't up to par for the prices cheese in there quesadilla is a mix that doesn't taste the best in my opinion left sad and still hungry

Greens and Grains - Turkey and Brie with macaroni salad

Located in an established strip mall by a high-traffic intersection at Kingston Pike and S. Peter's, Greens and Grains is easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. The interior is spotlessly clean (including the restrooms!) and comprised of two connected dining areas and kitchens. One has a trendy, airy feel with cool green and white tones, while the other is darker with metal and wood elements, a game area, and a large open grill/prep area. The reason for the two different vibes was not immediately clear to me. Actually, it never became more clear during the hour or so I spent there, but I can appreciate a good mystery. This is NOT a fast food joint. In fact, it is slow. Agonizingly slow if you're in a hurry. This is a place to come when you are with a group of people you find highly entertaining (or when you heft along a great book) and don't mind waiting. After ordering two sandwiches and sides, my friend and I waited almost 20 minutes for our food to appear at our table. The macaroni salad was pleasantly flavorful, without the overcooked noodles and runny sauce so often found with this deli counter staple. The turkey and Brie was also good and grilled to buttery-crisp perfection. The sandwich, side, and a drink cost just under $20, so it's neither bargain-priced nor exotic, but fresh ingredients are not cheap. Only one employee was working in each of the two halves of the restaurant, so I imagine if they want to speed up their service, they are going to need to schedule more people. The two employees were both delightfully friendly, though, and they aren't just paying lip service to customer service, a goal plainly outlined on all the napkin dispensers and evidenced by their actions. Despite the slow service, I'm giving them a 5 for their dedication to quality ingredients and excellent customer service. I hope they make it for the long haul, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Plus, the purchase price of their chips goes to charity - it was fun picking our charity of choice. Service was excellent! The staff was enthusiastic and I must add "adorable". I'm returning next week.

Just right. The Tangerine Aleppo drink was refreshing with a tiny peppery kick. It was busy for dinner on Friday and it seems people were waiting a bit for their to-go orders but they did a good job of keeping the line inside moving. We were making 3 different bowls and there was a misunderstanding on the main. They added steak to the wrong bowl and remade it for me which is very much appreciated. I got a basic bowl and it was literally two full meals for me, and I had just finished playing tennis for 2 hours and was hungry! It's a great way to get quick and tasty Mediterranean food. The staff were wonderful but I must point out with nearly half empty tables the young hostess was a bit frazzled had difficulty with her electronic note pad and told us there was a 45 minute wait. The front house could use some training. We decided to wait at the bar and wound up eating there. Although friendly and helpful the bartender kept disappearing undoubtedly to cover for the server shortage. The food was excellent. I am entertaining a German coworker and wanted him to experience upscale and creative southern cooking. Tupelo Honey delivered! The fried green tomato appetizer with goat cheese grits and a zippy orange remoulade was awesome! My friend had the hot chicken and waffles and I had the shrimp and grits. He enjoyed the chicken and waffles very much. I have to say the shrimp and grits with Chorizo sauce was delicious and filling. Great job on the food. This place is a good choice just be patient for slightly longer than usual wait times for seating and serving. The people are nice and doing the best they can.

We were greeted promptly and taken to our table. Within maybe a couple minutes our waiter Katie came by to check on us and get our beverage order. After looking over the extensive menu and enjoying the music tracks playing in the background we were finally ready to place our order. My wife ordered the won-ton tuna appetizer as her meal and I surprised myself by ordering the meatloaf special with green beans and onion rings. I know the meatloaf come with some onion straws. But I had a taste for actual onion rings and appetizer order plus the meatloaf dinner was going to be way too much. Meals arrive fairly quickly and I realize that there is a lot of meatloaf with a nice size bowl of green beans and my onion rings. Meatloaf was very tasty and still very warm. Green beans were perfectly seasoned and also very warm. Glad I didn't order the cheddar mashed potatoes as no way is all of this getting eaten tonight. However, the onion rings were HUGE and very good. You know how sometimes you order onion rings and either the onion pulls completely out or the batter falls apart? Well not these. They were very good and I am glad I substituted for them. My wife's tuna looked great and the won-tons were very crispy. The tuna was a little too peppery for her taste, but she was able to take a bunch of the pepper off. Overall, this is a great restaurant with moderate pricing that lets you leave full and not broke! Cant say enough though about Katie and next time we are back in town, I hope she is still there!
