This is my daughter's favorite, and in her top three favorite places to eat anywhere. We come to El Tarasco almost weekly, as tradition, on Sundays after my daughter's horseback riding. The family who owns the restaurant knows us well and knows all our regular orders. There are a few things that El Tarasco does really well. Their housemade salsa's, their chips, and their carnitas. It is my favorite carnitas taco around! I also really like the Diego Special. I feel like some of their dishes have changed over the years, but they have stayed consistent for the last 20 or so years I've been coming here. The ambiance is simple, but it's comfortable. They have a tv and sports playing most of the time. They are a great, small business and I will continue to support them for years to come!

We went as a group and tried several dishes. Sima has crafted a creative menu with many Iranian staples and then some less common but equally loved dishes. Her drinks menu was especially creative and appetizing. The marinated olives were so original it would be hard to tell the difference between what they make and what you'll find in the North of Iran. My questions are still the same as what I asked her then: why not extend this to weekends and even open a new place dedicated to Persian food? :) The restaurant is a bit tucked away but easy to find, with its own parking. Loved it and will be back soon!

It was definitely one of the better super burritos I've had. We love supporting local businesses so we are looking forward to trying other items on their menu but it will be hard to stray away from their super burritos. Have eaten here a few times in the last several months, decided I should write a review. Where to start, the enchilada sauce has so many complex flavors. And the mole sauce for the chicken is just so good, also a huge plate of perfectly cooked chicken. The fajitas are the best I have had since I had them in Phoenix AZ 30 years ago, they are that good. When I came here the first time the service was insanely horrid, but the food was so good I returned. They were having some sort of issue with staff. It seems resolved now, the service is great, spot on. Very quite, slow not rushed pace put on you, and this great music. read more

I order the exact same thing every visit (no modifications), but it's rarely remembered, and interactions often feel tense or dismissive rather than welcoming. Portion consistency has also been an issue. The amount of chips and salsa varies from visit to visit, and when I've politely asked for a little more to match what was served, I was told only one basket is allowed -- something I've not experienced elsewhere or with other staff. I do want to note that service quality seems to depend heavily on who is working. On the occasions when a different staff member or the chef is at the register, interactions have been noticeably more pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately, repeated experiences with one particular staff member have been consistently unwelcoming, which ultimately led me to stop coming in. The food quality is excellent, but for the same price, nearby Mexican restaurants offer more generous portions and much warmer service. As much as I've enjoyed the food, the overall experience has made it hard to continue supporting this place.

Additionally, the suggested tip amounts are also calculated based on the total that includes both the sales tax and the credit card fee. Most customers expect tip percentages to be based on the pre-tax cost of the food and drinks. As a result, you end up giving a lot higher tip than you intended to. Because the payment screen does not show an itemized bill, it's very difficult to verify the charges or calculate a custom tip unless you remember the exact prices of everything you ordered. I hate when a restaurant's billing practice isn't transparent to customers.

We got one bean and cheese, and one birria and cheese and it comes with birria consome for dipping. These really were the bomb! A bit expensive for what they were, but we still thoroughly enjoyed it. The chile relleno con carnes was really good, and exactly how I want a chile relleno to taste. Great batter, and great sauce, and it was topped with cheese, so you get the carnes and the cheese. :) Yum! I would definitely get it again. My hub's carnitas plate was good, and the portions were huge. I also really love the green sauce they give you with the chips. I could eat that all day. I took one through the review of the item on the app, but apparently that doesn't save it to your phone. She told me go ahead and complain through DoorDash. I can't help you. She wasted my time, energy, gas and basically stole my money. I cannot recommend this place, unfortunately. If you do decide to go there, make sure they don't do you, like they did me. Completely unacceptable and far from professional. If they followed through with the original promise to me, this would've been a positive review. It's unfortunate. Their leadership is too stubborn to admit mistakes.
