Apparently this place has new owners in the past 4 years as I was told. I had moved out of town and had memories of good food previously. I ordered a Botana, which they no longer make and was kindly directed to a similar Nacho type product instead. The food came to the table promptly but was cold. I took several bites trying to figure out the issue. Was it cold beans? Beef? Unable to tell and not fond of the taste I sent it back and was given another. This was warmer, but again the meat did not taste correct. The beans had no flavor. The cheese even was plain. Overall the price was cheap. But so was the quality of the food. I gave the waitress a decent tip but will not be going back. Sadly, it was a choice of two or three stars. The more I thought of the fools, the more I decided two was the appropriate rating. So I waited a few days to do an honest review! My pregnant wife wanted Mexican food, and truth be told, the funny billboard on the outside made me curious to give this place a try. I didn't know anything going into it, so came in with fresh eyes. When I walked into the place, it didn't seem as lively as I thought - although it was lunchtime on a Sunday. There were a few people, and two servers. We were greeted and we sat down. The menus looked like they had been through some hard times, but the options looked plentiful. Taking a look around the restaurant, I noticed some older decor, some fans that had light dust on them, a Cinco De Mayo shirt from 2023 still being sold for $19.99 (even though it's 2026), but the bar looked like it had a lot of options for people. After talking with the server, I heard they are trying to get updated decor since it's under new ownership, but the stuff is stuck in Mexico.... So I don't want to hold too much against them for ambiance. If you've gotten this far: let's get to the food. We didn't get cocktails because my wife is pregnant of course, but the people around us liked the margaritas, so that's a positive. App: We were recommended and got the Loco Fries (with beef added). And WOW!!! It was very delicious. Waffles fries with all the toppings, and the beef was seasoned decently too. The portion of it was HUGE! My wife and I should have ordered this as a meal alone - a lot for an appetiser, but I wasn't mad. Meal: We went with the $10 lunch special (I can't tell you the last time I paid this little for a whole lot of food, but I love a nice deal like this). My wife got Chicken Enchiladas, and I got the Small Chimichangas (Chicken as well). After the appetiser, I was hopeful for a good lunch. As soon as the food came out, I noticed the chicken had a very strong chicken smell to it - not because of the seasonings and such, but it also borderlined on a funky smell. I didn't know if I was being hyper-critical, but I gave it a try. I'm sad to say.... This was the worst Chimichangas I ever had. They were fried to hell and not full of chicken (lots of deep fried tortilla on the line of burnt). Chicken had no flavor, no seasoning, and was very dry. My wife felt the same way about her Enchilada as well. Even more unfortunate, we went home and let's just say I wonder if the chicken was bad because we did "not feel 100% the rest of the day" if you catch my drift. I hate doing this, and sadly, I have to give the place a two out of five. The app gave us A LOT of excitement, but the main dishes were lackluster along with the unflavored rice. It felt as if they were prepping catered meals (large batches with little flavor to it). Now granted, this has been under new ownership for five months. I think they are trying to find their footing, but I think they need a lot of help to get there with the main dishes. It didn't feel homemade, authentic, and the flavor was bland. But if the apps can be as good as I am raving, there are beams of hope that I hope will be taken into account. It's not Mexico Lindo anymore and the regulars will not be back. The owners of the Alex GAS STATIONS should stick to selling gas. They are no good at food and hospitality. They have bought and ruined 3 established and beloved restaurants and DESTROYED them. Only 3 that I used to go to anyways. Camp Ticonderoga and La Dolce Vita are two of their other victims. We ave been going to Mexican Lindo since 2007. Back when the owners husband would check on you. The food was always good and it was our favorite Mexican restaurant. So many great memories and Margareta towers! We heard they have new owners and that the food was not good any more. We wanted to find out for ourselves. So we went tonight. Right from the start we did not like it. The salsa have all been changed and the chips are seasoned (So extra salty) Not what we liked but no big deal. I ordered the 6 pack of Ala-cart beef tacos and they were not the nice fried taco shells I have had all these years, they are nothing more than Ortaga shells I can make at home. The beef has no flavor (one good thing is that it is not greasy like it was before). You don't get enough cheese to even fill all the tacos. My wife got the choose three combination: The Tinga taco, the Titanico Taco, and a mini Chimi. None of them are as good as they use to be. They don't have the shredded BBQ beef anymore. It did not come with any sour cream. To top it all off, when we got the bill we found out that a glass of coke is $4... Who does that??? We will not be back, don't know how you buy a restaurant that is always busy and make changes to something that was not broken. Even the parking lot was all but empty, usually we have to park in the business across the street. They ruined our favorite Mexican restaurant. I hope they look at the reviews and fix things before it can't be fixed. There is a Mexican restaurant at five mile and Middlebelt in Livonia that we go to when we are in the area, I guess that will just be our regular Mexican restaurant now. Expectations were not met for it being called "Authentic Mexican Cuisine." I was firstly disappointed that they didn't have horchata. :( It was pretty quiet inside the dining room, there were only a couple more tables inside. Decorations kind of reminded me of a kid's Mexican themed birthday party. The real kicker is the fact that they had an Irish flag instead of a Mexican flag (or maybe a faded Italian flag). Food was ok. The salsas didn't have much flavor. We had to add salt to enjoy them. The quesadilla was better than the tacos because of the seasoning and cheese. Service was just ok. Kind of slow. Friday evening (4:50 PM) neighbors weekly dinner. Had heard it was under new ownership, gave them a few weeks to get the kinks worked out, and decided to try it. Party of 6, had a reservation for 5:00 PM and arrived 10 minutes early. Entering the parking lot is a bit tricky as the access is not off of M-59, but off a side road just before the resteraunt (heading east). Entering from the west involves turning against two lanes of 50 MPH traffic. The parking is very tight on the M-59 side of the lot. Entrance to the facility has a downhill incline, we were greeted and asked if we wanted to sit in the bar, or seating area. We chose the seating area. For 6 adults, there were two tables pushed together, 6 swivel padded chairs and it was a bit tight. Recommend guests with reservations ask for more elbow room. The dining area was empty when we arrived. Three in the party inquired about drink specials, were told they had one minute to order for happy hour prices that ended at 5:00 PM. They ordered, waitress asked if they wanted the Margaritas if happy hour was over, all three said no, waitress departed, never came back with the Margaritas (must be a very strict time poilcy for happy hour, we were disappointed, especially when we were the only ones in this seating area. We were served chips (crisp, tangy for two diners) with three salsas, mild, medium, hot. Hot had significant heat, medium had some heat (light colored) and mild was tasty, but thin. Chips were replenished and drinks ($4.00 diet coke, free refills) and water were provided. The menu is extensive with items having names from previous ownership (Lindo Special, for example) but contents and familiar names listed. Print is very small and there are some things listed a bit confusing. Most menu items list item price, then protein (chicken, ground beef, etc.) prices separate. Example: Nachos $13.00 ground beef $6.00, Quesadilla $13.00, chciken $5.00. The portions were generous, temperatures correct. Presentation for most items was attractive; however, quesadillas appeared to have pooled liquid (assuming it was from the melting cheese) on the plates. Our individual (3 couples, three bills) had a 20% gratuity added and a space for an "added gratuity". Tab was $51.66 for two $13.00 entrees with protein (1 ground beef and 1 chicken), $8.20 fixed gratuity, $2.46 tax. Mexico Lindo used to be my favorite mexican restaurant until tonight. My fiancée and I had the worst dinner there and tonight will be my last meal there. The food was very bland and the manager took my food and only took off 20% off. She also accused me of "taste testing" the food and you have to spend money to make money (I have no idea what that meant; THAT IS WHAT THE NEW OWNERS NEED TO DO!) The manager instructed the waitress to take my food away from me. So even though I paid $53.00 for really bland mexican food and spoiled steak, I was not able to take ANY of it home where I could have spiced it up. The mild salsa was anything but mild. It was pretty spicy. The shrimp quesadilla needed seasoning like salt and pepper at the very least. I ordered the fajitas, same thing I always order for dinner at this place. I ran my fork through the rice and beans. The rice was hard and tasteless along with the beans which had no flavor whatsoever. I grabbed a piece of chicken and there was no seasoning on it. I asked my fiancée if his burrito was good he said it's very bland and lacks flavor (Mexican food is one of his favorites). I then picked up a piece of steak from my fajitas and same bland and tasteless but it tasted like it was spoiled steak and it was. I asked the waitress to come over. I explained the situation to her. This is a super popular authentic Mexican restaurant we have been going to for decades. I remember Vincent Quintana and his wife when they owned it. Vincent was such a kind and outgoing man. He was a big man who lost a lot of weight by gastric bypass. He lost like over a hundred pounds. We spoke often and he worked at GM back in the day and was in the Army. He passed away shortly after his gastric bypass surgery and his daughter Elizabeth and son in law Kasper took over the family restaurant. The restaurant is always clean and well staffed. They have a busy bar and a very extensive menu. They ranked top Mexican restaurant many years back in the day. The previous cook was absolutely spectacular and i noticed a slight difference in the current menu so it went from a five star to a four star restaurant to me. I can say confidently i believe they have the absolute best nachos in Michigan. We order tamales for take out every New Year and have for decades. We still enjoy going to Lindo's and it's nice to see it is still being run in the family. read more

When being seated we were taken to the bar area which seems to be the only area being used. We were taken to a high top table and asked if that was ok, and we said not really and she said well that's all we have. While we could clearly see a lower table available. The next party comes in and instead of being given the high top table next to us they were given the lower table. The salsa you get has changed. It's not 'bad', but it's not the salsa you expect and anticipate from Mexico Lindo. Our favorite menu items are no longer served - but the waitress did offer to get as close as she could. I got the birria tacos which were served with rice and beans. The birria had little flavor but it was tender. Hubby's burrito was good - but again, it wasn't the flavors you were anticipating from Mexico Lindo. Spent just under $52 for lunch for 2 people. No other drinks that the now infamous $4 pop. Way too expensive. The service was good as we were one of the few people in there. I stopped in here on my way home from an afternoon of golf to pick up dinner for my wife and Ias we both had a craving for authentic Mexican food. I ordered "6 tocos special", grilled chicken quesadilla and the mid-sized Botana salad. I called ahead (about 20 minutes) and my order was ready when I stopped in to pick it up. My wife liked her quesadilla, and I really liked the hard-shell tacos (3 beef-3chicken). They included both lettuce and onion on the side and the cheese was basically a melted glob by the time I got home. I didn't realize the mid-size Botana was $17 but it could have fed 3-4 people so next time I'll order the regular size. I enjoy hot salsa and the green hot salsa from Lindo didn't disappoint. The only bummer was the corn chips they included were basically smashed little pieces instead of the bite size tortilla chips you expect. read more

I'm highly disappointed in our service and food this past saturday evening. We ordered a margarita tower, it was watered down sour mix. absolutely horrible. Chili queso app came out cold, they just threw in the microwave. didn't stir it or anything, it was disgusting and old. My food came with a pound of melted shredded cheese with it should have been queso blanco, server says "that's not how we roll" when we asked her. So we ordered a side of queso blanco... It came with old chorizo and other items in it. We were charged 11.95 for that. It was gross. Go to eat my food and find a long nasty hair intertwined within it. I sent it back. My husband didn't eat but 2 bites of his chimichanga that was also missing queso blanco. the shredded chicken was very dry. The beans were old and disgusting. I met a meet-up group here for dinner last night. This is a closer to a 4.5 star review rather then a straight 4 star review. It is a fairly easy restaurant to find. The reason for the downgrade is 2 fold. The first issue is the parking situation is horrible. There is one area that is a circle and the other 2 locations are a drive in back out situation. There are more tiles then there is parking. According to the group I met, you can park in the business across the street or on local side streets but this is not well posted or known. The other downgrade is because there was not a lot social distancing as far the tables go. There were very few tables that weren't being used in the bar area. Enough about the downgrades, now for the positive points. The chips and various salsas were fresh. The mild salsa was basic and boring. The medium had barely any kick. The hot was all spicy peppers and quite good. You get a ton of food for the money. Everything that I ordered came was nice and hot and tasty. Restaurant is fairly dated on the inside but I'm always willing to overlook that for good food. We were served chips and salsa but the salsa was much more like ketchup. There was also zero explanation for what the types of "salsa" were. Two were like ketchup, 1 like marinara and 1 green. Tried a green that was the equivalent of licking the inside of a pepper. A little heads up on heat factors would have been nice. No drink menu was given to us so our waitress tracked one down. We decided on house margaritas which was basically just a big mug of sour mix.
