Went in for an after-dinner drink and got pulled into a full Star Wars takeover, complete with Han Solo frozen in carbonite on the door, a Mos Eisley Cantina bar setup, and Star Wars shows playing in the background. The theme changes every 3-4 months, so what you see now won't be there forever. Reservations are usually required and we got lucky thanks to a local host who knew someone. Worth planning ahead. Drinks come from the in-house "Cantina" and lean into the theme without feeling gimmicky. Food runs off the menu from the Wobbly Olive, the main bar hidden behind a door in the same spot, and it held up. The Outer Rim Provisions menu had solid options. The biggest surprise was the noise level. You'd expect a themed cocktail bar to be loud, but you could actually hold a conversation. Our server was on point, brought drinks fast, and even remembered the names of the people we were with. Go for a date night or anytime you want a low-key cocktail experience with serious attention to detail. Make a reservation. Peek into the Wobbly Olive on your way out.

The creativity that goes into each one of their themes that rotates quarterly-ish, is so impressive! They even had an old book for guests to sign that looked like it could've belonged in the Lord of the Ring movies. The drink I got was a spinoff of an old-fashioned, which I love, but it was really just an old-fashioned. I couldn't taste the difference, but it was a great old-fashioned! :-)

It genuinely had that "Cheers" feeling -- the bartenders knew you, regulars became friends, and it was somewhere we looked forward to going for drinks and dinner after a long workday. Sadly, over the last month, we've watched that experience completely change. One by one, many of the bartenders and servers who made the experience special disappeared. Some left and others were apparently let go. As guests, we obviously don't know what happens behind the scenes, but when so many of the people who created the atmosphere and consistency you loved are suddenly gone, you notice. What has been most disappointing is that it hasn't just been a change in staff -- the quality and consistency of the drinks have noticeably declined as well. Wobbly Olive was a place we went specifically because we could count on getting a really good cocktail. Recently, that simply hasn't been our experience. Our last visit really confirmed it for us. A drink I had ordered there many times before was made so poorly and incorrectly that it barely resembled the same cocktail. When you're a regular who has sat at the bar countless times and watched these drinks being made, the difference is very noticeable. Also observed the Bartender messing with money in the register and not following proper procedures to clean hands and going back straight to managing ice blocks for future drinks. We paid our bill, left, and went somewhere else. I even watched a supervisor test the drink quality and passed. That was probably the most disappointing part -- realizing how quickly a place we genuinely loved had changed. I hate writing this because we have some wonderful memories at Wobbly Olive and truly want to see them do well. But from a guest's perspective, when you lose experienced bartenders and servers, you don't just lose familiar faces. You can lose the relationships, atmosphere, consistency, and quality that made people choose your establishment over somewhere else. For us, those things were exactly why we kept coming back. I'm 18+ and as I was drunk and stumbling around looking for my friends, some random man started asking me very aggressively personal questions about myself. At some point one of the questions was a yes or no and i had gotten very frightened and yelled,"no!". I went into The women's bathroom hoping that they would leave me alone but they did not. I was using my body weight to hold the female bathroom door closed but that same person kept banging on the door and kept trying to open it saying,"I'll call the cops on you since you're a minor" and I kept yelling,"do it!" Since I'm not a minor. They finally pushed me from the door and pulled me from the bathroom. They threw me out of the exit and I was drunk and scared. This will absolutely be the last time I go into latin quarters. Not at one moment had they mentioned that they were security. I very genuinely though that they were trying to kidnap me. I was abandoned and alone in the back exit trying to find a familiar face but this club had only offered me a nightmare. I was and will continue to be traumatized from this experience. They are lucky that I do not sue. Ok, I'm editing a day or two after I had come here and I am sore and covered in bruises from what happened to me. I don't remember how rough the "security" was or wasn't but my body is in a decent amount of physical pain. I'm still also pretty shaken up from what happened and I very genuinely don't know when I'll be back to 100%. This place needs to be shut down.
