First off, I love, LOVED this place when it first opened and brought friend after friend there because it is unique and fun, like walking into another era. However, the last time I went there (in 2024), we had a young man who was very rude serving us. He did not bring our drinks to us until one of us had to go ask him for our order! It seemed as though he may have been resentful, as our drinks were mediocre to bad - tasted like no alcohol - with hardly any volume...yet our bill - for only three drinks - was outlandishly high!! I was so disappointed and, frankly, embarrassed for District Elleven. How I wish I could have some kind of reassurance that this kind of thing would not happen again, so I would be moved to go back...the ambience gave me the best vibe being there, and that is an accomplishment in itself. A Hidden Gem with Moody Vibes & Incredible Flavor District Elleven is a total vibe--moody, modern, and tucked just off Tejon in downtown Colorado Springs. We stopped in on a Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised to find happy hour running from 4pm to close (yes, all night!). The Drink of the Week was a total standout--The Myagi Blossom, made with gin, Aperol, honey lavender, and lemon, topped with boba. Light, balanced, and not too sweet--just right. It was fun, creative, and refreshing. We sampled several small plates and honestly, they were more generous than expected. Highlights: the perfectly crispy arancini, the hummus plate (topped with caramelized onions and served with warm bread, carrots, and cucumbers--my personal favorite), patatas vovo (a delicious spin on a classic), and the artichoke de fritas, which were divine. For cocktails, the Sazerac had a bold nod to New Orleans--traditional with a whisper of absinthe that hit all the right notes. I ended the night with a dirty vodka martini served with blue cheese-stuffed olives--beautifully done. We also shared an affogato for dessert, which was the perfect finish. Service was also top-notch--our server handled both the bar and our table with ease, making us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for. This place is a gem. Very fun speakeasy at the back of Tbyrds. Came for a drink with friends and was impressed with the drinks! It's nice and quiet, so easy to talk to friends and felt more private than most bars. They had so many good options but I couldn't help myself and had to try the bartenders choice! You give the waitress 1 or 2 alcohols you like and any things you don't like. I said white rum or vodka and something sweet. Idk what all was in my drink but it was delicious! Sweet, fruity and strong! Really loved that idea of free range for the bartenders. Only one night in Colorado Springs and we definitely wanted to go downtown. We chose Mood but the kitchen was closed when we arrived. The gentleman in the front was sympathetic and suggested some places to try so we walked outside to try to find another place... I have no idea whether or not this place is a super secret and he felt bad for us or he really just forgot, but homeboy came outside running after us like an infomercial "but wait.. there's more!!" He mentioned to us there is a speak easy in the back serving up a small menu. Intrigued we decided to follow him to the back of the restaurant and down a little art filled corridor. Have you ever seen Harry Potter? He opened that door and we felt like we were in one of the house chambers! The ceiling was super high and there was all sorts of random vintage artwork high up on the walls. The place was dimly lit and had one heck of a bar. Really awesome atmosphere, I feel liked I was welcomed into an exclusive bar. The menu is limited, but they had wagu beef and charcuterie, a girl can never go wrong! I ordered wine and charcuterie. Great charcuterie plate with nuts, meat, cheese and this yummy jam and served with a toasted baguette. Fantastic service by Colby! I believe Distiiict Elleven is known for their drinks and they certainly provide great drinks. Love the Old Fashioneds but most definitely like the scotch with ginger more. Not sweet but full of flavor. Definitely a new go-to drink. The food is another shining star of D 11. We got 3 aps and the strip steak. All good but the aps were definitely amazing! The Piquillo peppers are not only gluten free but dairy free also (goat cheese instead of cow). Even my meat eating husband liked it! The Carne Adobada tacos (3) were incredible and flavorful. Definitely not a regular, run of the mill taco. Our last ap was the seafood trio. So good and gluten free fried seafood! How many places can offer this? We will certainly be back! read more

They were on it, checking in and keeping a watchful eye for drinks and water. I had to get something to sip on from the whiskey menu, and my better half took the bartenders choice. This is a place to get out with a fellow friend who will enjoy some drinks and great conversations. The speak easy was fantastic. I do have to say that the drinks were phenomenal. The Lucky Bill (Bacon washed) burboun old fashioned was without question delicious and my wife enjoyed a He Loves me not( Sweet, Light, and Delicious). I really liked the atmosphere and the staff was extremely kind and friendly. Unfortunately we were hoping for the Tapas as previously reviewed but now they feature their own full menu. We had already eaten for the evening and hoping to have a light snack while enjoying a fantastic drink but we're not ready to eat or share an entire meal again. Wow! As the other reviews mentioned, you walk through Mood Tapas bar - be ready for everyone in your party to show an ID for 21+ - you'll walk towards the back and through a "bank door." Once you got through, creative, fun paintings align the hallway and you'll make a right (there is a step down) into the bar itself. The mood lighting is dark but your eyes will adjust quickly! Fun atmosphere for drinks and/or food. Highly, highly recommend eating here. We got the sliders trio, truffle fries, shrimp cocktail, garlic bread. The bread was INCREDIBLE - it definitely has horseradish on it so be prepared but if this dish was served with their house made cocktail sauce, it would complete this dish although who doesn't like garlic parm bread! Such a cute speakeasy in the middle of downtown Colorado Springs. Me and two of my girlfriends met for drinks and food and we were blown away by the food. When I tell you this might have been the best meal I have had since moving to the Springs I am not kidding! Literally everything we had was outstanding. My friend started with the Patatas Bravas while I had the Burrata. The Patatas Bravas was simply perfect. Reminds me of my time in Spain. Perfectly crisp potatoes with a luscious sauce. The Burrata was great and was plates beautifully. For entrees we got the pork dish, lamb and salmon. Everything again was excellent. All the proteins were perfectly cooked and had equally delicious accompaniments. My favorite was the lamb belly. One of the best lamb dishes I've ever had. Overall food is a 10/10. Service was a bit slow with only two servers on the floor but the I didn't care because the food outshined everything! Both times I've been here the service has been terrible. First time it was slow, second time it was slow and staff were incredibly startlingly rude. My party and I were ignored until we had to ask someone for help, then we were treated like an inconvenience. It wasn't even busy, but it took over 30 minutes to receive our drinks. My opinion of District Elleven remains positive! We stopped in after a memorable dinner at Cowboy Star. This time is was later in the evening..Busier and still lots of fun. They have great cocktails and the place has a cool vibe. I'm curious about the food...next time for that. I like the current trend in cocktail bars and District Elleven is right there.
