Everything about this place was amazing from the decor to the staff to of course the food and drinks! The lunch portion is the perfect size for a true single serving and the price is hard to beat!

We just stumbled upon this place after Dave and Busters and wow what a great impromptu dinner! The atmosphere was cute inside and outside. Felt clean and the service from Isabel was really great! She was super kind and attentive and did a great job. The food came out promptly and was soooo delicious. There isn't as much meat as other places on the fajitas but the quality of the meat was outstanding! We tried both the corn and the flour tortillas and definitely preferred the flour tortillas as the corn was too overpowering flavor wise over the fajitas. While the garnish for the Marg was beautiful!! The frozen berries was a bit disappointing because they were too hard and cold to enjoy, so it feels wasteful. Whoever does the photography on their menu needs to be acknowledged because it made me want to see everything I saw. Great experience overall and will be back.

They've done a great job renovating this former South of the Border location. Lots of fun margaritas, and we saw several birthday celebrations parade from the kitchen - they make celebrations a pretty big deal. We came mostly for drinks. Ordered a tower and the Mecalito sampler. The tower was a lot of fun - we got 12 margaritas out of it and it was casamigos tequila for $100. The sampler was a mix of American bar food (wings and fries) and Mexican, and the table enjoyed it.

This is the second Mezcalito location I've tried and I like this one better! I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas and they were absolutely delicious, and such a low price too. The environment was fun and it wasn't too busy. I'll be back ASAP!

Mezcalito's you have my heart! Great drinks, great prices, and amazing service that was attentive despite a very packed night! Plenty of free parking and the decor inside is so fun and bright which matches the vibes perfectly! I tried a few things and genuinely loved them all. See below for a little more detail: * Guacamole w/ Chicharrones 10/10: crispy chicharrones and super limey guac which I loved! Also a little chunky which I prefer. * Elotes on the Cob 8/10: very tasty, extremely hot as far as the temperature, just would have to wanted a little more mayo + cotija * Spicy Asada Tacos + Consommé 9/10: the steak was spicyyy, just like I like it! Consommé was rich but not oily! * Jolly Rancher Drink 100/10: GIVE ME A MILLION OF THESE

This place is like nothing I've seen! From all the real greenery to the huge tequila wall, to the music and service, this place is a treat! They have a catalog of drinks, amazing food (one of the best ACPs I've ever eaten) and delicious sweet treats. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!

This place was amazing. Friday evening the place was popping with music and as we were leaving people were coming and it was getting packed. The food was amazing and delicious. My fiancé said it's one of her favorite places to eat. We tired the one in Durham and Raleigh too. Both as good.

This was my first time here. I loved the atmosphere (we sat outside), the cute lights, the music, the openness and the vibes. 4/5 because I liked the drink, I didn't like the taste but it sure did the job!! The fruit in it was good , too. The food was delicious and the energy was great. Our waiter was polite and could've been a bit more attentive, but they were busy! I WILL be back and do recommend!

Finally made it to Mezcalito in Cary. When we walked in we were automatically in awe of all of the live greenery, it made the place look so homely. It made me feel so peaceful. The menu is a bit much but when I finally made my decision on the chicken rolls, I'm glad I did! The chicken was juicy and the house made sauce put the perfect amount of spice on them. I usually don't add an adult beverage to my meals because of the ridiculous prices nowadays but since my rolls were $10.99 I thought I'd treat myself to a Bahama Mama and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken tacos and to be honest, when I saw them I wish I had ordered them as well. Next time for sure! I didn't try them but he left no crumbs so it's safe to say he loved them. The chips and salsa were probably my favorite. The chips were on the thicker side, which I love, and the salsa was not too spicy to enjoy. Definitely going back soon.

We had a great time at Mezcalito last night. There were so many people there, we were afraid we wouldn't get seated. However, we were seated immediately and the staff were so kind and attentive. Our orders were taken quickly and our food came fast. I ordered the enchiladas suizas. The price to portion ratio was great, and the quality of the enchiladas were delicious. The rice and salad were fantastic as well. Would definitely come back again!

The food here is melt in your mouth heaven on a plate. The atmosphere is open airy bright and festive! The staff is friendly and very available especially for questions on the menu. Speaking of the menu I think you could possibly hover your finger, close your eyes and put it down anywhere in the menu and you would find that you had stumbled on something delicious! Additionally it is so obvious even if one has no knowledge of what is traditional cuisine that the food is authentic in both preparation and presentation. We chose the Trey Leche for dessert and I look forward to trying all the rest! They have cocktails and various drinks available and they are also able to make mocktails out of just about anything: I had a mocktail piña colada. We are going tonight and I can't wait to try something new and flavorful from the menu.

Food was so delicious. Flavors are spicy smokey and sweet. Services was a little bit on the slower side but they were really busy. I already forgotten what we had. But I had the Asian ACP and my husband had the Tropical ACP my kid got some kind of burrito and my uncle got some kind of bowl. My new favorite Mexican restaurant. I dont think the flavor profile is Tex-Mex at all. The place was all lit up with lights. Must be really nice at night. We will definitely come back.

Dessert menu, the tres leches was not too sweet and great with the strawberry

Mezcalito is a fantastic addition to Cary. We were drawn in by the holiday lights and will come back because of the delicious food, extensive menu of things we want to try, and great service. Anything with al pastor is a winner. We got a queso smothered burrito that was fantastic but the al pastor quesadilla was the winner. The fries are nothing to rave home about, and the drinks are HUGE, maybe a bit too bit, especially for a lightweight like me. Dying to come back for their lunch menu and Mexican Espresso!

The original Chuy's started in Austin, and after all these years, the flavors are still exactly how I remember them. I had planned to eat at H Mart but arrived too late after checking into my hotel. A summer thunderstorm rolled through, and by the time I pulled into Chuy's, the skies cleared. It was the perfect ending to a long day. The complimentary chips, fresh salsa, and famous creamy jalapeño dip are reason enough to stop by. That dip is every bit as addictive today as it was decades ago. I ordered the Comida Deluxe--a massive plate with cheese enchiladas, crispy chicken flautas, a crispy beef taco, fresh guacamole, queso-covered tostadas, rice, and refried beans. I paired it with an ice-cold Coke, plus extra lime wedges and white onions, because that's how Tex-Mex should be enjoyed. Every bite hit the spot. The portions were enormous, the quality was excellent, and at around $16-18, it's one of the best values around. I knew I'd be taking leftovers home, and they were just as good the next day. I also grabbed a slice of tres leches cake to go. It was huge and worth every penny. It somehow tasted even better after sitting overnight as the three milks soaked deeper into the cake. Absolutely delicious. Our server was warm, attentive, and made packing up leftovers effortless by bringing extra creamy jalapeño dip, a sturdy bag for the chips, and plenty of to-go containers. Service like that makes a difference. You can pay traditionally with your server or by scanning a QR code. I tried the QR option but found it a little cumbersome, so I paid the old-fashioned way with my credit card. Chuy's has stayed true to what made it famous. The recipes are consistent, the portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the food is packed with nostalgia. Whether you're a fellow Texan or just craving outstanding Tex-Mex, this place continues to deliver. Life is too short to eat boring food.

The menu accurately describes the dishes, and we all were pleased with what we ordered. The fajitas portion was massive! And there was a huge amount of steak in the steak tacos. CAUTION: Disgusting Tacos Ahead!…read more My wife and I had lunch on Friday, June 1. Let me start with the one thing that was good, then elaborate on everything else, which was not ... especially the "scab" tacos. Really?! Scab tacos??!! [They chose the name, not me. Bet they would like a do-over. Just sayin'.] THE GOOD - The smokey, deep brown salsa served slightly warm was quite tasty. EVERYTHING ELSE: 1. I had the Shrimp Diablo Tacos and they were a disaster! Not only was the shrimp fishy, but the "costra style" shells were an absolute abomination: VERY greasy, amazingly unattractive (see photo), and likely packed 800 calories each due to the grease and cheese. Since there was only 1 bar of web connection, I was unable to Google "costra style" before ordering. Had I been able to do so, the description of being "scab like" (yep! You read that correctly!! Scab!!!) would have made the dish a No Go. That said, I will say the term is accurate: they were DEFINITELY scab-like in appearance, and the degree of grease oozing off of them put me not only in mind of a scab, but one attached to an infected wound. Barf!! 2. My wife's #1 from the lunch menu was about as basic as a taco and enchilada can be. She even told me it was a stretch to call it Mexican food. 3. And one final point: the place is L-O-U-D inside. Not quite - but almost - to the degree of being unable to talk while eating. Adios!

When you arrive there is parking in front of the restaurant as it's located in a shopping plaza. When you walk in you'll feel like you've been transported to a trendy, energetic, and coastal beach restaurant. There are also TVs at the bar if you are looking to watch sports. We checked in with the host and opted for a table. To start we ordered the queso (Smoky queso, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro) and added the smoky chorizo. The queso was very good and had a great smoky flavor with a little spice. You'll want to order an appetizer as chips are not complimentary. For drinks my partner ordered the strawberry mojito (Bacardi limon, mint, lime, soda, strawberry) which was good and on the sweeter side. I ordered the Desert Fire (Jalapeño infused lunazul, triple sec, chipotle simple syrup, lime, spicy rim) which was on the spicier side but was so good. For mains my partner ordered the Mahi Wrap (Blackened mahi, napa-romaine mix, fresh avocado, honey chipotle sauce, Caribbean salsa, grilled flour tortilla with seasoned fries) which had a nice balance of flavors. The fish was a bit overcooked but the seasoned fries and flavors made up for the dry fish. I ordered the surf & turf burrito (Grilled shrimp, marinated steak, queso rice, grilled onions, pico de gallo, queso fresco, baja crema, topped with habanero onions & arugula, cilantro served with black beans) topped with the tomato cream sauce. The sauce had a nice smoky flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. As for the steak, kind of the same issue as the fish where it was overcooked/cooked well done. For dessert we ordered the Sugar churros (Whipped cream, caramel dipping sauce) which were served piping hot and they go perfectly with the dip. We ended up stirring the whipped cream and the caramel sauce together. I definitely would stop by salt & lime cabo grill for mexican food but would opt for just shrimp as the main meat vs mahi or steak. Looking forward to my next visit to salt & lime.

I usually rotate between the tacos, enchiladas, and molcajetes, and while the tacos themselves are just okay, the overall experience is solid. They more than make up for the tacos being a bit underwhelming and are honestly reason enough to come back. I was really one mayonnaise filled torta away from missing out on my favorite Mexican restaurant of Cary. The food is some of the freshest and most authentic in the area, and is consistently spot on. Forget heavy burritos or overly sauced enchiladas, this place is the real deal. When you come to Esmeralda Grill, you should really focus on the meat heavy dishes, whether it be via land or sea. There are so many different options to choose from, from both categories. When thinking seafood, expect the full fish. If you find yourself with the fresh grilled tilapia, you will receive a delicious whole fish that tastes as if it was caught that morning. It is such a fantastic option. I also appreciate the camarones a la diabla, or Diablo shrimp. The shrimp are plump and juicy, the spice of the dish is excites your taste buds and is a great dish. My favorite entrees are the land meat dishes though. El Trio Perfecto is my go-to order, it is grilled steak, chicken and pork all on one plate with rice, beans, salad, and tortillas. The Mexican spice rub on the meats is absolutely mouth watering, the flavors are so bold and tasty. The meats are all cooked to perfection and the portions are gigantic. You can make different tacos with the various meats, it is seriously one of my favorite Mexican dishes. I would highly recommend this! Additionally, Esmeralda Grill has so many other wonderful dishes for different flavor profiles. My grandparents are pretty particular about empanadas, but simply cannot get enough of Esmeralda's version. They also make some killer tacos, and some very affordable ones if you were to come on Tuesday! The moral of the story? Don't base your opinion of a restaurant after a single visit. You don't come across a fantastic hole in the wall every day, Esmeralda Grill is one that every Mexican food lover should know!

The décor is exactly what you'd expect: bold colors, festive patterns, enough sombreros on the walls to outfit a small parade, and at least one plastic cactus that looks mildly judgmental. Servers weave through the chaos like Olympic athletes, mariachi music battles the sound of sizzling fajitas, and somehow your food always arrives piping hot even though the entire place looks one guacamole shortage away from full meltdown. The menu is less a menu and more a novella--pages upon pages of every dish you've ever heard of and at least twelve you definitely haven't. It's a laminated labyrinth where every combo comes with three other combos, and the options multiply the longer you stare at them. By the time you reach page six, you're questioning your own identity and whether you even remember what you wanted in the first place. It's overwhelming, and just a little suspicious--because no kitchen should be able to make that many things unless they've unlocked some sort of culinary time dilation. The server sort of has your attention when it's time to order entrées--they hover just long enough for you to say your piece before disappearing back into the restaurant's gravitational swirl. But once the food is delivered, they become nearly impossible to spot, like they've slipped into a parallel dimension where diners can't see them. Trying to wave them down for anything--napkins, a refill, a moment of acknowledgment--turns into a full-scale quest. The food is classic, predictable Mexican-restaurant fare--perfectly fine, nothing mind-blowing, the kind of dishes that taste exactly how you expect because they've been made the same way since forever. Not bad, not great, just reliably 'yep, that's food. Cheers!
