I absolutely love this place! What an amazing addition to the Ballston quarters mall! We stumbled upon this establishment after browsing the Ballston quarters for some late night dinner. We personally love Mediterranean food, given that it was a fast food joint we did not hold high expectations. Surprisingly we were very amazed at the quality of the meal! Essentially, this is a Mediterranean cuisine quick eats food chain served with a "chipotle" service model. We decided to go with the bowl, and let me just preface that you get a bang for your buck! For the bowl, you first select your base of a grain or salad (we went for the delicious fragrant basmati rice!). Secondly you select a protein - you can even mix and match (we went with the steak shawarma and lamb kafta). The lamb kafta was absolutely divine and not overly salty! Paired with the steak shawarma and toppings, this was the perfect pair! Lastly you get to choose an *unlimited* number toppings. Game changer. They literally loaded us up on everything...yes, we got nearly everything! From the multiple delicious different types of hummus, baba ganoush, baked crunchy chickpeas...and the list goes on. If anything, please make sure you get the greek beet dip on top! It is divine and a personal favorite. To top all of this off, the server was an absolute delight. She evidently knew we first-timers and was very patient walking us through the process along with serving generous proportions! If you are in the neck of the woods for lunch and craving mediterranean food in the middle of a work day, this is definitely the place to go! Forget Cava, Mezeh is the real deal! I ordered ahead and was in love with how good the bowl was. Their variety of dips and toppings is more vast and they had a great lemon garlic sauce. The chicken shawarma was great and spicy. I'd say this feels like more authentic fast Mediterranean food. Will not eat here again. I very carefully looked at their menu to see what things were spicy--I don't like hot-spicy things. The shredded lamb did't have the spicy symbol, but it was spicy. The tzatziki dressing was spicy. I usually get tzatziki to cool things off. This just made it worse. I'm very disappointed because the food looks delicious and very fresh. More choices compared to Cava. But I will walk a few more steps (across the street) to the Cava. read more

Mezeh is one of my go-to spots in the Ballston Quarter Mall; I love the variety of sides and dips they have, not to mention the fresh pita that comes as an optional side with the bowl! I'd probably go with a different meat choice than the chicken kebab next time, but among the standout toppings for me was the unique cilantro hummus and Greek beet dip, lemon mint carrots, baba ganoush, and especially the caramelized eggplant. Love this place! The bowls are delicious and provide a generous serving size for the money, and they have so many options you can get a different thing every time you go! I think their selection and food quality is better than other similar places in the neighborhood like Cava or LevTav. Usually the food is good. I've been a regular customer for months. However, the last time I went here (on 9/10/22 at around 4:30pm), the food was really nasty and disappointing. I ordered the flatbread sandwich. The bread was ice cold, the rice was ice cold, the falafel was ice cold and hard to chew, the whole sandwich was almost inedible!!!! The woman that was making the sandwich had no idea what she was doing. She seemed annoyed when making the sandwich. I don't recommend this place and I won't be returning anymore. read more

Tried Mezeh for the first time tonight and WOW! Delicious, fresh, creative toppings and flavorful sauces make for an amazing meal. Their veggie kefta is so yummy! We ordered online and it was ready when we got there ten minutes later. They threw in some (incredibly fresh, warm and tasty) bread for free!
