I got the lamb bhuna mild because I was nervous about getting it too spicy (excellent!) but my husband got the lamb vindaloo and it was honestly the perfect heat, not overwhelming but definitely had a kick. In our ongoing quest for our favorite Indian joint, this is currently our default. The butter chicken (my wife's go-to entree) is solid, as is the garlic naan. These are our go-to orders, watch we supplement with other entrees in a dinner order for more than 2 people. Thus far, we have tried chicken korma, shrimp jalfrezi, salmon tikka masala, and various vindaloos and biryanis. All were adequate, with the jalfrezi being the least impressive and the vindaloo being the most (good balance of heat and flavor). But the star of the menu is the lamb bhuna. The lamb is succulent and the sauce is perfectly spiced to match the lamb - and the quantity of the meat and sauce are in good proportion to each other. This dish will be on our order from here on out. Some tips: don't order extra rice; all saucy entrees come with a generous portion of rice (even for a rice fiend like me). But DO order extra chicken tikka to supplement the (at times a little meager) amount of fish or salmon in saucy dishes. Also, the chefs' method of adding heat to "extra spicy" requests is to add chunks of hot peppers to the dish - I don't prefer this, but you might. Order accordingly. read more

Came here for a casual dinner and was very impressed with the menu! We were able to pick our own seats and a server quickly came over to us. A majority of the customers appeared to be takeout orders as the door was constantly swinging but only a handful sat down. The butter naan was the best naan I've ever had; it was so soft, fluffy & buttery! We ordered medium spice (2/4 on their spice level) for our butter chicken but it didn't have any spice at all. Delicious! I am so happy there is now a good Indian spot in the neighborhood. I ordered the butter chicken and chili garlic naan. I made the butter chicken extra spicy, and it was so flavorful and had a good kick. The chili garlic naan was also great. Both items made good leftovers. The vibe inside was fine but wasn't anything special--the wall art was definitely an AI print lol. We almost turned around and walked out immediately after being seated. We weren't greeted with anything remotely close to the hospitality typically encountered at South Asian restaurants. Today we ordered at 11:00am for delivery. It is now 1:40pm. Still no sign of the driver. Update: At 2:00pm exactly, the driver showed up. A lot of discrepancies in the order. We were missing a few items, which I am disappointed about. However they sent us a bunch of other items we did not order (all vegetarian). I am now reading the response from the owner. This is a new spot that opened in Arlington and is serving delicious Indian food. I love how they present the Lamborghini because you kind of get to crack it open and I've never seen it served like this. The chicken tiki masala was good. My favorite thing was the garlic shrimp on their appetizers and definitely think that you should get it. The shrimp was meaty and large and the sauce was sweet and delicious. Service was friendly and semi quick, it's a small dining room, but it was actually pretty busy for it just opening. Parking is easy and right in front. read more

Heard this place was fantastic...but seems a bit meh. I ordered my go-to...butter chicken. Server recommended Mild, then Medium spice. It was decent, but I can barely taste any kick. Order was $18, but had less than 10 pieces of chicken and only came with a less than half (1/4?) order of rice. Naan was $3 for regular and $4 for garlic, but small and super thin. Is the landlord charging that much in rent, or are you just gouging us. No way this meal for one should have cost $28. I love butter chicken, but City Kebab and the place in Ballston commons is waaayyyy better for the money. read more

We had our food delivered. It was hot and tasty! I loved being able to select the spicy level. I got Saag Paneer, which was buttery and medium spice. More spicy than most places and I loved it. My husband got spicy Chicken Tikka Masala. Very tasty and flavorful. My son go butter chicken extra spicy, which is no joke! Totally different experience when it is spicy. Some notes just for my memory: Garlic Shrimp: I asked for them to be "easy on the garlic" since they were for the kiddo (7 year old). He loved them. Unfortunately there were only six little shrimps. Dal Tadka: I asked for no red peppers because this was for the kiddo too. He loved it and ate a ton. I think this came with some plain rice flavored with cumin. Jeera Rice: Asked this to be extra mild for the Kiddo and he still said it was too spicy for him. I think he was just psyched out by the yellow color. I thought it was zero spicy and I liked it :) Mango Lassi: Tasty! Not too sweet. Very thick. Kiddo loved it. Mixed Biryani: Wife got it and thought it was too a bit too salty. I ate some and thought it was on the edge but still good. If we'd grabbed some raita or something to go with this it would have been perfect. The bits of meat I had were tasty and tender. Kiddo ate some of the shrimp and salmon chunks from this and liked it. This was "mild" spicy according to their menu and much spicier than the Jeera rice ... which he had said was too hot for him hahaha. He's such an unreliable narrator. Samosa Chaat: this was pretty good and a nice portion for $7. It would be better to eat there since the crispy bits on top were soft by the time I got it home. Next time! Overall I think this could be a solid spot. I see they do Indian pizza! Ever since I moved away from Sunnyvale I've been on the lookout for a place that does good Indian pizza. A terrific and much-needed local mostly carry-out Indian cafe in West Arlington, with reasonable prices and very flavorful Bengali food. The classic chicken and seafood dishes are delicious, taste fresh, and are spiced at made-to-order levels so there are no surprises. When you dine there in person they do have table service and will bring you an appetizer on the house. No alcoholic beverages, but you can buy sodas by the can. Adding a wine and beer option would be nice. My only complaint about the food is that it is a much too heavy on the butter/ghee, oil and cream. The chicken tikka masala is drowning in oil/butter similar to butter chicken - which should be more creamy but instead is nearly identical. Even the chick peas are drowning in oil and the spinach paneer as well. You can see in the posted photos how much oil is used. The flavor is great so this much oil and butter isn't really necessary and imo detracts from the food. But the food is so good I'm giving five stars anyway. Just be prepared for a heavier meal. read more
