That place struggled in its last days. It is interesting that Charbroiled Chicken & Grill serves lamb chops, lamb over rice, and gyros; perhaps to capture some of the clientele from the previous establishment. The menu is diverse and makes you wonder which of the ethnic cuisines they are most dedicated to when it comes to quality and authenticity. I've only experienced the Peruvian-influenced dishes which are consistent and delicious. In general, those items are what you'd expect from similar Peruvian-style restaurants in the DMV. After a few visits it is safe to say this place serves good charbroiled chicken. Their green sauce is delicious and similar to the original green sauce from Sardi's when they first hit the scene in PG County. One of these days I will try the chicken wings and tacos.

This worked fine for us. Absolutely no complaints. Cucumber salad and edamame were excellent sides to enjoy while we waited for longer menu items to come out. Forgot to take photo of the Mongolian beef so photo is just of my tasting. Dumplings were amazing. Daughter pulled up video of how to eat soup dumplings while we waited. The spoons were smaller than the dumplings but I found I could suck the soup from the top of the dumpling before biting into it which helped avoid losing the broth (careful, they are served HOT temperature-wise) Loved the truffle dumplings. I have also had the sampler which I recommend if you are new to the place (1 each of 6 different soup dumplings). I did not partake in the fine in experience though the customers seemed very pleased with the atmosphere and service rendered. I ordered the pork dumplings and spicy green pepper w/beef over white rice. Both were quite tasty. Now after doing some research the soup dumpling (xiaolongbao) is what I was expecting. No worries though because the other dumplings were also good. The pepper bowl was well balanced, tender, flavorful, filling, and seasoned. Next time I'm going to opt for the Ugly rice bowl upgrade. I was informed it has extra spices and seasoning while would enhance this dish even further. The food prep time wasn't too long or too short allowing for the appreciation of made to order.
