A mediterranean spot with a large dining area. They have a couple booths, regular tables with chairs and high-top tables with stools. It's very industrial and minimalist-like. I quite like it. It was also fairly clean, especially for having a lot of customers coming in. They are quite eco-friendly, offering compostable utensils as well as reusable ones for dine-ins. I opted to make my own grain bowl with white basmati rice, chicken kebab and an assortment of toppings and lemon garlic and tzatziki sauces. The baba ganoush, caramelized eggplant and sumac cucumbers were so delicious! The portion was very filling and was very much welcomed because I was absolutely starving! I also purchased a fountain drink and chose the peach drink. It was actually quite refreshing: not too sweet or anything. While they weren't packed when I came in, they had a constant stream of customers ordering take-aways and a handful were dining in. If the dining area was packed, it definitely could be quite loud. For nicer weather, they do have several tables and chairs outside to eat at! Definitely would be good when the sun is shining! Overall, great food and solid dining experience.

What I received compared to what Mezeh advertises.

Went there for the 1st time because of an advertisement on FB. The guy handed me a wrap that looked nothing like the advertisement. I showed him the ad and he told me that they don't make their wraps like the advertisement Mezeh is promoting and that the wrap in the video was only made that way for advertisement purposes and is not actually sold. What a scam. I would like my money back please.

I am a huge fan of Mediterranean, so when I discovered this place in the Virginia suburbs, I had to try it. I would say that it is a Chipotle style restaurant, in which you can build your own dish to suit your taste. They also had some great specialty bowls/wraps on the menu board. I elected to create my own, with shredded lamb & falafel, then piled on the extras Great flavors & everything seemed to be fresh Will definitely keep an eye out for this in other states!

A normal person looks at a hamburger and asks, "Would you like cheese on that?" The people at MELT apparently look at one and ask, "How can we make this so extraordinary that customers begin questioning whether everything they previously called a burger was actually just meat occupying bread?" I ordered the Paris Burger: Premium beef char-grilled with roasted garlic, then topped with melted French Brie, balsamic-glazed onions, baby spinach, and a smear of Dijon mustard on a house-made bun. This ingredient list sounds less like a hamburger and more like several upscale appetizers became trapped in an elevator and decided to form a government. I do not know what kind of inspired nut job first assembled this combination, but everything contributes to everything else. The Brie, roasted garlic, sweet richness of the balsamic-glazed onions, spinach, and Dijon do not compete for attention; they cooperate with suspicious precision. The flavor is exquisite. This should not be placed in the same category as ordinary burgers unless the category is titled "Round Foods That Technically Contain Beef." And then there is the bun. Most hamburger buns eventually choose one of two career paths: Damp sponge or roofing material. This one rejected both. It was cooked to that nearly mythical point between soft and soggy, firm and crunchy. It supported the burger without collapsing, disintegrating, or scraping the roof of my mouth like an edible Brillo pad. Perfection. For a side, I ordered the sweet potato fries. They were already very good, which apparently was considered insufficient by the resident mad scientists. Someone had the completely unreasonable idea of serving them with marshmallow fluff. Marshmallow fluff. With sweet potato fries. This sounds like a suggestion made at 2:00 a.m. by someone who should have been politely escorted away from the kitchen. Instead, that person may be a genius. The combination is incredible. The salty sweet potato fries dipped in marshmallow fluff produced one of those moments when your brain objects on principle while your hand quietly reaches for another fry. This proves that not every insane idea is crazy; some merely require dipping sauce. I also had the Thin Mint shake, which was excellent except for the only legitimate complaint I could manufacture during the entire meal: It came with an ordinary straw. Every attempt to drink it became a small plumbing emergency when a piece of Thin Mint lodged in the opening. Sip, blockage, investigate, clear obstruction, repeat. I was not drinking a milkshake so much as performing routine maintenance on a delicious cookie pipeline. A proper milkshake straw would eliminate the one defect in an otherwise outstanding operation. This was not merely a good meal from a burger joint. It was a culinary experience disguised as casual food. The Paris Burger was phenomenal, the fries and marshmallow fluff were an act of benevolent madness, and even my complaint involves the shake containing too many actual pieces of Thin Mint to pass through standard beverage infrastructure. MELT is almost worth traveling to Virginia for by itself. If the people running this place are insane, nobody intervene. Whatever treatment would make them normal might ruin the menu.

I got the gyro salad and they were kind enough to swap fries for a small pita, extra greens and tomatoes, with an olive oil and vinegar dressing. It was fantastic. The only downside, which I think was a little unreasonable, is that a mandatory gratuity of 20% is charged on all parties of three or more. So mom, dad, two kids is 20% mandatory; four colleagues. That's excessive for me. I understand the industry norm of 10 or more, even 8 or more, but.. THREE?? For that I wouldn't come back with my family but I would with a friend. That aside and limiting my review to what I experienced, the interior if nice and comfortable, booths are in good shape, there's a nice Christmas tree for the holidays, and the menu is plentiful. A blend between greek and Italian, with some Americanized comfort food thrown in. Pretty much soothing for everyone - a good lunch spot.

I read that the crab soup is very good so I asked if I could substitute that for the fries. (The regular price of the cup of crab soup is $5). The server said there would be a "small upcharge" for soup instead of fries and I said that was fine with me. Well, when my check came I was a little shocked that the "small upcharge" was actually $4, so not quite a small upcharge in my opinon? Had I known I would have just taken the fries to go. $21 plus tip for lunch is pretty pricey. Don't know if I'll be back again.

Ordering is quick and easy through the iPad, and I went with the Beef Perfect Bowl over rice. The portion alone impressed me. It came piled high with grilled beef, fresh greens, rice, and even an egg roll, making it feel like a complete meal rather than just a rice bowl. The beef was flavorful, the vegetables added a nice freshness, and while I'm trying to cut back on carbs, I have to admit the sticky rice soaked up all the savory sauce and was hard to stop eating. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for jalapeños or another spicy topping. I like my food with a little more heat, and I think that extra kick would have taken the bowl to the next level. There are a handful of tables if you want to eat there, but I grabbed mine to go. Hidden gem is an overused phrase, but in this case it actually fits. Generous portions, solid flavors, and reasonable prices for this day and age.
