If I could eat here every day I would- it's honestly that good. This gem has big portions for a reasonable price and it's GOOD. Mezze platter is a must- you get to sample the different dips and it's served with hot pita bread. The lamb beyti is huge!! It's super rich- lamb wrapped in dough. But just split with some people because it's a wonderful dish to try. The governors plate is also a great mix of seasoned meats served with some veggies and rice! Everything we had here was great. Nothing was "just ok". I came twice in a week because I was thinking about their hummus topped with olive oil. To top it off, service is awesome.

I love the fun, vibrant ambiance straight off the bat. You order at the front and they give you a number. For two people, we got the governor's plate and chick me out. Portion sizes were quite good and we had leftovers as well! The complimentary pita was so soft and pillowy pairing well with all the meats that were juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the sides that came with it which were very refreshing. Good spot for a casual meal!

My favorite spot for quick and classic Mediterranean food. I love the order at the front and find a seat style establishment. All of the workers are super nice and the restaurant has a really comforting homemade vibe. They provide complimentary pita bread and hummus which are so good it's almost addicting. I always order the chicken or lamb plates because they have everything you could ask for. The meats are always cooked and spiced to perfection and I am a sucker for pickled vegetables for which there are many. I love combining all the ingredients and wrapping them in the pita bread. Mediterranean food is great because there's so many ways you can mix and match your meal. I usually never shoutout the drinks at a restaurant but their house iced teas are so refreshing and I always need to have it to wash down the food.

When you first walk into the restaurant, you'll order from the cashier. The person working at the counter was very friendly and made great suggestions for first timers. After you're done ordering, you'll take your number and sit down at a table of your choosing. They'll bring the food over to you. The restaurant kind of reminds you of Chipotle? But slightly homier and where the kitchen side of the restaurant is blocked by equipment. I lived in the Middle East for a few years and have enjoyed my fair share of Turkish food, so my standard might be a bit high. We ordered two dishes, the Mezze Platter and the Governors Plate From the Mezze Platter, I did enjoy the first dip of hummus, but I thought it got a bit dry towards the middle since the olive oil wasn't drizzled on top. The texture reminded me of dry Greek yogurt. I was a bit disappointed with the governors plate. The lamb kebab was the best out of everything. All the other meats tasted really dry, almost as if they microwaved left overs or meats that were sitting around. Overall the service was great and the food tasted somewhat healthier and light, but not the best Turkish food I've had

I've either eaten here or gotten takeout from here several times before. Most times, it's been reasonable, but recently their Adana kebabs have become obnoxiously salty. They were seasoned just fine before! I've been favoring their Iskender for lunch, which hits the right notes. Tomato sauce and meat slices over chunked up pita bread, and a side of yogurt to balance it out. They provide a grilled shishito pepper on the side, with a grilled tomato and some parsley. If dining in, it comes on a platter. Their other entrees come with a standardized set of sides: usually rice, ezme salad, pickled red cabbage, sumac seasoned red onions, and tzatziki sauce. Also comes with a pita. Their salmon comes on a thin plank and seems to be cooked well. Their falafel are flat cylinders that are reasonably tasty. The stuffed grapes leaves here are small, but still mighty. They are more spiced than they are sour. You order first at the counter. They'll give you a number and you find a place to sit. Your food will be brought out to you. There is a mix of tables, both low and high, as well as some booth seating. Their menu uses icons to indicate inclusion of certain types of ingredients or allergens. This can be helpful for those wishing to stick with or avoid certain foods. Lastly, the restaurant is located in the Triangle. This means you'll have your pick of 2 hr packing slots, try out the parking garage, or wait for someone to leave.

wow this might be some of the best turkish food i've had, especially for how generous the portions are for the price. you order at the counter and most things are self serve, but the staff are friendly and the ambiance is rlly nice the governor's plate is perfect if you want to try a little bit of everything. the lamb beyti was the star of the show!! the lamb was so fragrant, and the dough it was wrapped in was SOOO addicting. the chicken was also amazing, super tender and flavorful. the doner plate was just okay for me... the shaved meat was a bit too gamey i also really appreciated all the extras like the free pita and hummus, the pickled veggies, and especially the yogurt and tomato dips, which i loooved. overall, such a satisfying and well-rounded meal that i'd definitely come back for!!

I've eaten here a couple of times now and both times I have had good food. From the pita bread given as a service to the various pickled vegetables, the taste was very nice. I liked my lamb medallions best. They were tender and I could cut them with a fork. I was one of the first customers of the day and my food was ready pretty quickly. It was brought to my table. The interior is set up nicely with several items on sale near the register. There is also outdoor seating. Parking is limited in the triangle area, so be aware of that. MeezeMe may just have what you are looking for... I hope you stop by and enjoy.

Recently visited MezzMe and was genuinely impressed -- definitely a place I'd come back to. We started with the Iskender kebab -- presentation was . The meat was juicy and tender, topped with a rich tomato sauce, and the yogurt added a perfect balance. The bread soaks up all the juices, making every bite incredibly flavorful. You can tell this isn't just "Turkish food" -- it's made with real attention to detail. For the main course, we had a mixed grill: doner, kebab, and chicken. Everything was cooked just right -- nothing dry, with a nice charcoal flavor. The doner stood out in particular -- very juicy with great texture. The rice was fluffy, sides were fresh, and the sauces complemented everything well. We also tried the pide (a Turkish-style flatbread/boat pizza). The dough was soft inside with a crispy crust, and the topping was rich and well-balanced. Overall: -- generous portions -- fair prices for the quality -- fast service -- casual but cozy atmosphere If you like Turkish food or just want a solid, satisfying meat-based meal -- this spot is definitely worth checking out.

Came here for the first time yesterday with my boyfriend and absolutely loved everything we tried! The hummus was a great size and super yummy. The lamb beyti was insane!! Super flavorful and tender and also a great size, totally worth the price. The chicken shish kebap was also an insane portion and delicious. I definitely recommend getting the garlic aioli with it. We also tried the cheesecake which I thought was good but I was so full that I honestly could have skipped this. The service here was great and the restaurant itself was very cute. I definitely recommend eating at the restaurant rather than ordering to go! Super excited to come back again :)

One of my favorite Mediterranean spots in Austin! I came for lunch on a Wed. and the place was popping! The outdoor lot is small, but there are plenty of parking spots in the garage near by. As soon as you walk in, you place your order then find a seat. There are a few tables outside and a few booths and tables inside. We didn't have an issue finding a table. I ordered the Doner Plate. The portion was huge and you can order bread on the side. The pita is so so soft. The dish was really good and flavorful. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Services is quick. Great spot for lunch or a more casual dinner.

I have been waiting for this place to open since they put their sign on and they are finally here! It's been a week since they started serving and I've been there twice already. I will probably keep coming back. Their food is delicious. The concept is similar to Verts (gyro + salad/rice/pita + toppings) but the toppings and sides (mezes) are not even comparable - they are better. They are fresh, tasty, healthy and portions are very generous. So far, I have tried carrots with yogurt, zucchini with yogurt, shakshuka and cheese pastry. I did not regret trying any of them. The location is great and nice staff even when very busy. My first time there, I had ordered ahead and after my pick up time, I walked in to find a little table where the to-go food went but mine was not there. I was assured that mine should be there, so I think someone else may have taken it. They made my order again and I had to wait but that wasn't their fault. Yum! Food is fresh and there are very generous portions for the price. The interoir is pretty cute with plenty of seating. As parents of a toddler, we really appreciate the kids' corner where our kiddo could sit and color while while we read the menu. Also, apparently they have happy hour every day from 3-6 with half off wine and draft beer. We'll be back! read more

Really loved the food and atmosphere here. It's a Chipotle style Mediterranean place, and portion sizes are huge for the price (~$10). The workers were all extremely nice and allowed us to sample everything before we decided to choose it for our bowl. They have plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and outdoor seating is dog-friendly (water provided for your pups!). Would definitely come back again for a quick and healthy meal. read more

Meat was really dry, most of what I tried lacks a lot of flavor. There are some tasty "mezzes", or sides, and the "crazy grain" mix of lentils, quinoa, and some other stuff was pretty delicious and healthy, but again I'd probably add my own spice to it because there was not a ton of flavor. The atmosphere is really casual and trendy, but if I wanted something like this with more flavor, I'd probably just go to Verts Kebap. It's fast, cheap, and healthy, though! read more

Yesterday, I took my first bite of MezzeMe's recently added grilled chicken kebabs, and all my expectations were shattered. This is by far the best chicken dish I've had in Austin across ALL cuisines, let alone Halal and Mediterranean. Yes, even better than Gus's fried chicken or Brown's BBQ chicken. It is perfectly cooked, seared and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. I came back again today to make sure it was a consistent thing, and it was even better this time. (While you can pick two sides, this time I just ordered the chicken over rice with the red and white sauce...why mess with perfection?) MezzeMe is located across the street from my work, and I went a few times prior to yesterday. If I had written a Yelp review on those occasions, I'd probably have given MezzeMe 3-4 stars. All that has changed now. I can't think of effusive enough praise for MezzeMe's chicken kebabs and for the direction MezzeMe is going. It's like watching the second season of Seinfeld. Or your first bite of Franklin's (or Louie Mueller BBQ). This should be a destination for every foodie in Austin now. I'm bringing everyone I know back, especially those who were non-plussed before. My only hope is that lamb kebabs are next. read more

My favorite spot for Turkish / Mediterranean food in Austin. All their items including the mezzes (veggie sides) such as shakshuka and tabouleh are always super fresh. Their chicken kebab, or their kefta kebabs are always very flavorful and juicy. We've been 6 or 7 times and their food is always consistently good. So is their service. read more

Stop using grub hub. They said they delivered my order after an hour of waiting for it, but the delivery man never showed. Couldn't get in touch with the driver in any way and customer support was not helpful. Favor is so much better and communicative. read more

The food was not bad but I guess I had higher expectations. I also had to add salt to my food..and so did my friend ..it has flavor it's different though I guess not the typical Greek type food I would expect or have had before ..I ordered rice with beef lamb shawarma was was really like gyro and tabouli which was kinda like couscous and this veggie saucy side called shakshuka ..the staff are very nice and let you try stuff if you wanted..overall the food is flavorful but just lacking some salt..also parking sucks !!!! Beware of online orders! I ordered from their website over an hour before showing up, and all before the lunch rush. When I arrived my ticket had not been printed and I had to wait over 15 minutes as the lunch rush was showing up. They finally started to make my order in line, negating the point of the online order, but hadn't even started to cook the fries which were offered online. To make it worse, I had to wait even longer as they couldn't figure out how to refund me for the item unavailable. In the end, the food wasn't bad, but personally wasn't great. Maybe worth a try in person. I just found it frustrating that a place that had been open long enough was still experiencing issues like this and staff received no assistance from a manager. read more

I am super impressed! Really fresh, healthy and delicious! Lots of options to add to the plate. I picked a bowl with half fresh greens, half power grains, with falafel, grilled veggies (brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots), heirloom cherry tomatoes, cucumber, shredded cabbage, and hummus as well as yogurt carrot sauce. Really solid fast food Mediterranean. Lamb top notch and the amount of food is perfect. Just a great entree and everything I had worked great and complimented each other. Black eyed peas as an option was a nice texture changer and salad mix a good variety of greens. Falafel wasn't the best and a bit dry but other than that MezzeMe excelled on all fronts. Regularly priced, beer on draft and wine, free WiFi, easy parking. This would be my go to lunch if I lived nearby 100%. Just quality food. read more

Great alternative to lots of other quick options eating out. Pick an option ( pita, wrap, salad, bowl,...) and customize. Portions reasonable. What might feel like you are ordering huge piles of stuff is a reasonable assemblage if items. Mezze that come with each dish is small. Added sauce doesn't over everything. Similar to other concepts but not put together in a walk along assembly line. read more

Why do I come here? The humus!! We always buy a to go container. Once you have their humus you will never want to buy store humus again. That said, they do everything well and you can't go wrong. I love this spot. I am so glad my wife and I found MezzeMe shortly after moving here because it has hit just the right spot for our Mediterranean cravings. Gyro meat and falafel are very flavorful and done just right. Our go to meal is the grain bowl. Portion sizes are very generous. Enough so that we split a bowl between the two of us just about every time. read more

Neat little place to get Fresh Mediterranean in the Triangle Village. Clean and new, with a service style a la Chipotle, they give you options on protein, sides/ and a building base like pita, rice, greens, etc. We got a lot of food for around $10, and there were some unique options sides and vegetable add one like a spicy roasted eggplant and yogurt carrots. 2 stars for previous good experience. 0 stars for recent experience - over 45min wait to get no food. I ordered lunch from the counter from a guy that must have been in training cause when I asked him questions about food, he read the menu back to me (I Let it slide cause we all have been new before and everyone, everywhere needs employees atm). Ordered a wrap and governor plate to go ($35 tax and tip). The place was empty... however a few deliveries were being picked up. 30 minutes later, I asked about my order and was told by same guy it was behind all the other deliveries/to go. 45 minutes later, I needed to leave cause my lunch time is over. I left without receiving my food nor a refund cause I know the refund would have taken God knows how long. Regardless of my other obligations, it shouldn't take over 45 Min to receive any food order and staff should be trained longer to be knowledgeable on items available. read more

I was very disappointed that we had a bad experience. We asked if the wrap was in a pita or a tortilla and we were told pita. The cashier checked with the kitchen to make sure it wasn't in a tortilla. It was. Our fries came out luke warm, our wraps were in a cold cracked tortilla, the falafel was served cold, and when we asked them to heat it up, they threw the whole lot in the fire annoyed. All the fillings were delicious, but the falafel, wraps and fries were a disappointment. read more

Mezze me is my go-to place for any mood I'm in. A chipotle-esque assembly line, but amazing fresh Mediterranean ingredients. The owner goes out of his way to make sure your selections are what you're wanting and to talk to you. I had to wait about 1 minute for the falafels to be done and he offered me some Turkish coffee on the house for the wait. Everyone is always welcoming, and the teacup wall is the perfect aesthetic for your insta/Snapchat needs. read more

Being my 1st time here I can say it's pretty good quality food, I got lentil soup; I expected for it to have actual lentils in the soup but it was just soup with a bread. I still enjoyed it, had very good tasting. I order on Grubhub so once I got here my order was ready. read more

This is by far one of the best Mediterranean restaurants that I've been to in my life! Why? Because it's home made, unpretentious, DELICIOUS, and they feed you enough to put you in the most beautiful of food comas. The owner even came by our table to check on us. History

Established in 2017.

Founder Mahmud Ugur's passion for food began in his Grandmother's kitchen. She didn't know he was sneaking "appetizers" before each meal, but this early taste testing led to hours of his own culinary experimentation. Growing up in Turkey near the Mediterranean Sea, he fell in love with fresh ingredients. He taught himself his family's old-world recipes using hand-picked vegetables from the family garden and fresh produce from town. Moody began entertaining friends and family, and when he moved to Austin to attend college, his passion for sharing these recipes grew. Entering the restaurant business was a calling. And like in his Grandmother's kitchen, Mahmud didn't want to wait, and now, you don't have to. Moody brings his love of flavor and family together so you can enjoy a seat at the table with quick, easy to order food that provides the fresh and exciting taste of those early recipes. And true to his beginnings, he chose the name MezzeMe, which means "My Appetizer."

The two times we've been there, theres always plenty of seating and are able to walk right in. It's a walk in and seat yourself experience and then you pay upon leaving. The staff keeps the dining area and buffet line consistently stocked and clean. They even provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you. Even when foot traffic picked up while we were there, the food was replenished quickly and didn't look picked over. Now let's talk food...Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care instead of just being "buffet food" an under seasoned. The variety is also amazing, and it's easy to build a plate for pretty much any type of diet whether you're keto, high protein, balanced, veggie-forward, vegan, etc... Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. As far as protein goes, I actually really like the fish here, so I almost never eat the meat and still leave satisfied. It usually feels like a healthy pescatarian day for me, which I like. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. It's always clean, the staff is consistently courteous, and they are really on top of bussing tables, which matters a lot to me at a buffet. Dirty dishes piling up are never an issue here. Ezov's menu features Mediterranean-inspired dishes designed for sharing, so we selected three items: the Whipped Bulgarian Feta, Lamb + Beef Manti, and Grilled Branzino. Let me start by saying I don't recall ever having whipped Bulgarian feta before, and it was a delightful surprise. I don't know how to do that"), and the cocktails while tasty didn't really feel special enough to be $21-25 each. It was a very enjoyable experience I just don't know that it lived up to the price tag. For that price I'm looking for exceptional not just very good. That being said the food was delicious! Pricey but pretty good portions. The server said the mixed grill was good for around 4 people, but with two apps it was actually a little too much food for the 5 of us. Mixed grill ($220): -Rosewood Wagyu Strip and Lamb Chops: tie between these two for the best dish; they were both juicy and tender and the sauces were delicious. We parked at the Laz garage half a block away- $8 for 2 hrs instead of the $27 for valet.

Kind of irritating when you're trying to relax. A cabana is the way to go but the seating for the couch slides all over the place. Service was great for how busy they were! Update- apparently the dog's owner is a resident of The Proper.....still not okay to be doing this....but grateful for the waitstaff for trying to manage such rude people

Everything is counter service so you'll order your entire meal at the counter along with drinks, the cashier will give you a number and the service staff will bring your items to your table. My friend and I ordered several different items on the menu to try out, we got the etouffee, red beans and rice, and a mushroom salad. My favorite out of those items was the mushroom salad with vinagarette dressing, who doesn't love mushrooms and some greens! The etouffee was rich and savory with what i believe was their rotating protein of the week. Can't really go wrong with red beans and rice, these are like an upgraded popeyes version. To end the meal we tried their beignets which weren't stellar but reminded me more of a fried donut with some powdered sugar sprinkled on top. I'd come back but maybe not get so much food since we both definitely left stuffed!

The meat is cooked beautifully--tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. Whether you're looking for a great spot for lunch or dinner, this restaurant is a solid choice. Plus, the service was quick and efficient. One of my favorites was the Börek--crispy, flavorful, and perfect with a cup of coffee. The Pide with lamb is also a great choice. The hummus was super smooth and flavorful. And if you love Honey cake, you're in for a treat! It pairs perfectly with a cup of Turkish tea and had just the right amount of sweetness. Another thing I love about this place is that you can take home some of their Turkish specialties like baklava, hummus, and more. Recently stopped by MezzeMe for a weekday lunch and had a great experience. I ordered the Döner Plate, which came with tender, thinly shaved beef and lamb, fluffy rice, sumac onions, ezme, and pickled red cabbage, all topped with a warm tomato sauce. Every part of the plate was fresh, flavorful, and really well balanced. I also order a cup for the dispenser of Ayran, a savory and refreshing yogurt-based drink that complemented the meal perfectly. The space has a casual but welcoming vibe, with friendly staff and fast service that made the whole visit easy and enjoyable. We had a wonderful meal here! The customer service was excellent--fast, friendly, and attentive. We ordered the meat and rice plates, and every bite was delicious. The chicken orzo soup was perfectly seasoned, and the rice pudding was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. But the real surprise? Their special pumpkin cake. I went inside because the interior of the room was pretty with the coffee cup decor and caught my eye. I tried the Basmati Rice, with Beef and Lamb, eggplant, along with other toppings for lunch today and everything was made fresh clean and delicious. I think this is a good restaurant to come back with friends again, highly recommend The manager also came and asked how things were and offered us to try their Turkish Coffee, which was also a very attractive taste. read more

Poor customer service. Waited for over an hour to get our food served. After one hour we got half of our order and half was missing. We ate the first half order and ordered Turkish Chai while waiting for the missing food, and we got green tea in paper cups without sugar instead of traditional Turkish chai. After about 30 minutes wait we had to make the missing half order for to-go and left. Also, it's way overpriced compared to the quality of food. read more

I had a truly horrible experience at this restaurant. Despite the high prices, the ambiance and service made it feel more like an overpriced fast-food joint than a proper dining establishment. The staff were inattentive, shoving plates onto the table with no regard for customer care. It was clear that nobody cared about creating a pleasant dining experience. We ordered a chicken dish for the child and the Governor's plate and Iskender to share among our group. Although the Governor's plate looked tempting, the meals were all dreary, uninspired, and very flat when we tried them. We were disappointed by the Iskender's tomato sauce, which tasted more like ketchup than we had imagined. read more
