Portions are generous, and we've never had a dish we didn't love. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. MezzeMe is a staple in my local rotation. It never disappoints me or the people I introduce to it. Some favorites include the feta fries, gluten free fried chicken, falafel, lemon orzo soup, and I recently tried the lamb beyti which was delicious. You can't forget about the rotating fresh desserts. I like how it's easy to order and sit, they offer inside and outside seating. They have a bunch of different sodas and wine, and there's even a little storefront to purchase other unique items. Service is always friendly, and it's special they started bringing out a free little hummus and pita when you sit down. read more

Found a hair embedded in my food (see photos). What was even more nauseating than the contamination was the manager's appalling attitude. Instead of an apology, he tried to blame the wind and even had the nerve to suggest the hair was ours--despite it being a completely different texture and length. When I refused his offer of a replacement--as I had completely lost my appetite--he stubbornly refused a partial refund. He even tried to deflect by lying about a soup order, claiming it was "already being prepared" to avoid cancellation, when it hadn't even been ordered. The most insulting part. He arrogantly asked, "If there was hair, why did you almost finish the food?" We only found it at the bottom towards the end of the meal. His first instinct was to accuse us of being dishonest rather than taking accountability for a major hygiene failure. Reporting this to the Health Department. We had just completed a very long and difficult day, and then found this amazing gem of a restaurant! The food was delicious, from the soups to the apps, from the beef to the chicken, from the kabobs to the sauces it was all exceptional!! The worst part was parking, as the whole area was jam-packed! Then the line was long to get in, as I explained to my children, no one wants to eat in an empty restaurant... From that moment on there were ZERO downsides, unless you count being too full than to try more than one dessert. This should be on your must try list for Austin. read more

Saw this place on Instagram and came to try it with the family. Between 7 of us we tried quite a few different dishes. I got the Governor's plate to get a sampling of the different meats. Out of the various meats, to my surprise I felt like the chicken was the highlight. It was tender and juicy. My son ordered the fried chicken which I've never seen at a greek/Mediterranean restaurant. When it came out the chicken looked a little weird, almost like chicharron, so at first I thought not quite what I was expecting and my son is not going to like it, but I tried a piece and it was delicious. He also loved it. We also got a meatball plate and the meatballs are flat like sausage patties which was interesting. My other daughter got a doner wrap which I took a bite of and it was good, nothing over the top amazing, but if you are in the mood for a wrap it will do the job. Overall it was a nice lunch. Service was relatively quick, you order at the counter and then sit and they bring the food out to you. Casual atmosphere with self serve drinks with a fairly large variety of soda and tea options. First time here and it won't be our last! Food was amazing and we LOVE the roasted red pepper hummus! We did not know the hummus came with the pita bread. It was soooo good! It was seriously the best we ever had! We also ordered the mezzemeatball plate and beef and lamb dnr plate. The falafel was not great and was burnt taste. It was over fried, burnt, & under seasoned. The sauce that you dip the falafel in needed something because it was bland. The beef and lamb dnr was fire. The bread that is crispy under the meat paired so well with it. Love the yogurt to balance the acidic tomatoes sauce. It was seriously so good and we highly recommend this dish! Meat was tender and was not dry. So good! The mezzemeatball was juicy and paired well with the cabbage and rice. Service was quick and food came out hot. They offer lunch specials which is a really great deal. We didn't get the lunch special but saw two other customers that ordered it and it looked decent and good. Do we recommend this place? Yes! We can't wait to come back to try other dishes there! We stopped here after driving around the area in a hangry fog. I had never been to a "Turkish" restaurant and was a little intimidated by the food I'd never heard of or had. But I was open to trying new things and I'm so glad I did. The portions were BIG. We could have easily split our meal. I got a wrap and my partner got a pita. I wish I could have eaten more, the food was so fresh and the flavors were phenomenal. I actually look forward to coming back. We sat outside with a view of the fountain. TASTY!!! Wonderful Turkish food packed with flavor that I will definitely be returning to. I got their Lamb Beyti which firstly, I did not expect to be so much food lol. It was $23 but would easily feed 2 to the point both are being rolled out of the restaurant. I dont eat a lot of Turkish food but I eat out a lot and the food here is one of the best (probably top 3) dishes I have eaten out in Austin. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. You order at the counter and they will bring food to you. I truly like everything they brought out. They offered free bread with olive oil? and red pepper sauce dip. Bread came out hot and had the perfect thickness and flavor with the sauce. The beef and lamb doner plate was delish, rice was fluffy and well seasoned (I am Asian and I have high standard for rice!!), doner slices were a good thinness and tasty, the tomato sauce that comes with it makes the dish go together and not dry. I ordered the lunch special. You have a soup or salad option and half pita. I did the salad and doner pita. The salad was very refreshing and light. The pita on the other hand seemed like it was missing something. There was a sauce on the side, it was hot in temperature so I'm assuming it was for the pita. I did try it but was not a fan. Trendy Turkish restaurant in the triangle! Came here on a Saturday night which was moderately busy, but were lucky to find seating inside. Hubby was bold by getting the governor's plate to try many of the meats and noted that their marinated chicken was definitely a stand out. Since we got pita with our hummus, I chose the chicken wrap instead of chicken pita and was happy with that decision. We both had plenty of food for leftovers for the following day! I was finally able to make it to this amazing little gem! It took us a while to find parking on a Sunday afternoon, but we made it! Fresh look, modern Turkish resturnat, it's more of an order pay sit down kinda place, but it's worth it! We were greated with a scope of Muhamara (red pepper dip)  on a bed of olive oil served With an amazingly fresh-baked pita bread, that combination was to die for,and on the house! We ordered the Mezze platter that came with amazing hummus, and roasted red pepper hummus (OMG AMAZING), shakshuka with perfect flavors, and tabbouleh (not your regular parsley salad we are used to; this one had more bulgur/crushed wheat than parsley--it was pretty good!). Out of all those four, I loved the red bell pepper hummus the most! We ordered the İskender Kebab--it starts as thick bread cut in cubes on the bottom, then the döner (gyros), then an amazingly fresh tomato sauce packed with flavors and definitely Turkish yogurt on the side. This combination made my tummy happy! We also ordered the Adana Kebab; it was on point, perfectly seasoned, and the flavors were on point. We ordered the börek; I would have assumed it was like thin egg rolls stuffed with cheese. However, this one came as a slice of pizza with fresh filo dough layered on the top and bottom and, in between, an amazing combination of white cheeses that melts in your mouth! I was so full, and we had plenty to take home, so we did not try any of the wonderful-looking desserts displayed. We did have some Turkish coffee, and it was amazing! We met Murad the manager, a really nice guy, great service, amazing ambiance, I definitely loved the kids' corner where they can actually draw on the wall!! I have been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. It is casual and chill enough to catch up with a friend with ease, yet classy enough to feel like a treat. Even their intro pide bread with a dip is deliciously spiced, and I could happily eat just that. It feels like an authentic turkish restaurant where the waiters are friendly. Two ladies at front register taking orders one wearing glasses both unprofessional. No names tags no greeting. Not packed so I don't get why the rush. I understand moving fast to keep the line going but that was unnecessary. Even when our plates arrived at the table. One of those girls(one not wearing glasses) literally dropped the plate on the table. The freaking plate rattled. I felt like getting up, telling the manager what happened, leaving the food there and leaving. This was a birthday celebration for a good friend c'mon why the attitude ladies!! I do wanna go back there someday, the food was good but fix those attitudes. Paying customers don't deserve that, especially when nothing was ever done to provoke that. I was so impressed by this spot! I've gone to the triangle plenty of times and have always seen this restaurant, but never stopped in. The food was incredible, the service was great, and they have many tables to accommodate groups of many sizes. The food is good but the staff are rude and unbecoming , as a few reviewers already pointed out. Was here with a girl friend a couple of nights ago, one of the male staff waited hand and foot to the 2 tables across us, curious how we were the only non-white patrons and not once did he asked or checked if we had our food the entire hour we were sitting there and had to go inside to ask for our food, all the while we had 2 order numbers on our table. MezzeMe is one of my new Austin favorites! I'm looking forward to returning anytime I am in the Triangle area, which is often since I have family and friends nearby. It's not 100% vegetarian or vegan, so if you are eating with others who are non-vegetarian, there are plenty of options for them since Turkish cuisine does have plenty of meat. Thankfully, they have delicious vegetarian options too. I wanted to get the "hearty piyaz pleasure" because it sounded like an interesting, nutrient-dense salad with the inclusion of egg, but they apparently had ran out...so I went with the "sweet summer time" which wasn't too bad. It wouldn't be my go-to if going to a Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant, but it was what I was feeling that day. The inside of the restaurant was super clean, even though there were a lot of people seated for dinner. The free pita bread with hummus/oil was super soft and fresh, unlike any store-bought pita bread I've had as of late, lol. As an appetizer, the cheese borek is AMAZING. The plate comes with three squares plus a chopped tomato (lol). I would honestly get a plate just for myself next time along with another side dish because it is just that good. This place is really good. I have only ever gotten the chix me out and have never seen the need to charge it up. Sometimes it's a bit hard to find parking and sometimes it's a bit crowded. It is also close to my apartment which leads me to go so much. But the food is really nice. Not too too unhealthy for restaurant food and you will definitely be full when you leave. Portion sizes are quite large, although it is on the pricier side of restaurants. We got the Governor's special and everything was so flavorful! MezzeMe is my new go to. My boyfriend took me for the first time a week ago and I'm already obsessed. It's not far from my apartment and is located at the Triangle Plaza which is my favorite strip for food near me. After we ordered they brought out some incredibly soft pita bread with olive oil. I got the chick me out plate that came with super well seasoned chicken thighs, rice, and some pickled sides. It was absolutely amazing. It felt very healthy but still flavorful. My boyfriend got the beef and lamb doner and his was also really tasty. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The staff was really friendly and welcoming when we ordered. What a cute little Turkish place! From the wall decor to the Turkish staff, I can definitely tell this place is authentic. The complimentary pita and hummus and olive oil were delicious. I do wish we received it earlier but it is still good. The pita was so fluffy and tasted delicious. I also got the truffle feta fries. What a huge bowl. The feta I wish was more than just crumbles and somehow more incorporated with the fries. The truffle dip was underwhelming - could not taste the truffle that much. The falafel wrap was really big. A friend and I popped into The Triangle to find a spot for dinner. MezzeMe seemed to be the best spot there. On a nice evening we asked to sit outside. We were told we would have a short wait and that was totally fine. During that short time, we were updated every few minutes, offered something to drink, and the staff continued to keep an eye out for an open table. After 15 minutes, a couple of the staff members went above and beyond. They brought a table from inside, set it up outside, and got us seated right away. I'm sad to say that MezzeMe, which I have been wanting to try for a long time, turned out to be pretty disappointing. Our order consisted of the Governor's plate and Iskender, intended for sharing among our group and a chicken dish for the kiddo. The presentation of the Governor's plate seemed promising, but once we tasted the dishes, they were all disappointingly bland, dried out, and lacked any inspiration. As for the Iskender, the tomato sauce tasted more like ketchup, which was not the flavor we had hoped for. Being someone who frequently indulges in this type of cuisine, especially when in the northeast, I had a similar meat platter just a few weeks prior at a Turkish restaurant in Massachusetts, and the difference in flavors and taste was astounding. Adding to the disappointment, the prices at MezzeMe were noticeably higher than what we had experienced earlier...and those platters included lamp chops! The service was almost non-existent due to a private function happening inside the restaurant. They had forgotten the kiddos dish so we had to wait longer for that order to be made after we brought it to their attention. However, someone did come to ask us if everything is good and if we had enjoyed ourselves near the end of the meal so that was a nice touch. All in all, I regret to say that MezzeMe did not live up to its potential and left us with a less than satisfactory dining experience. read more
