Tired of giving this place second chances. Crappy tasting beer. Bottle beer tasted flat. Selection of beers on tap sucks.

Paid almost $14 for their daily special. It was ice cold. Had to wait for a cashier to cash me out for over 10 mins. Not impressed.

No stars, over priced fish wasn't cooked correctly. Is it so hard to get a decent meal in Beeville..?

The hostess was a little drab but as I was walked in to be seated, you could feel the upbeat mood. Note that if you're dining solo, they will push hard to seat you at a dark diner type counter to stare at the kitchen area even if you have a reservation, so don't give in unless you're starving and that's your last resort. The colorful decor hits you and you're transported. I ordered the "Mexican Dinner" with chicken enchilada, pork tamal, beef taco with beans and rice. Also had a side order of fresh handmade tortillas. Paloma to wash it all down. Everything tasted great. My server was excellent. Patient and helpful with recommendations. The mariachi band was fun and they roamed the restaurant and bar to play, so chances are that if they aren't singing at your table then they're nearby.

I loved the beef enchiladas with gravy & rice & refried beans. The gravy was very unique. Not your typical sauce for Mexican cuisine, but very good. As a side we received, warm flour tortillas. These were unbelievably good. This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with such a nice wait staff. Also, serenades are available from a couple of gentlemen walking throughout the dining area. I recommend this restaurant!

They actually were able to sit us in 10. Great! We are seated at a table. Another co-worker had just arrived and asked to meet us, so we told him to join. We had only ordered our drinks and chips and salsa and when we asked for another menu as we had one more wanting to join, we were told he couldn't join because our table was only for 5 people, even though there were 6 chairs, and there was a wait list. Asked to speak to a manager and they absolutely refused to let one more sit at our table. I can understand if we were a table of two asking for a larger table for an larger party, but our table was set for 6, so there was no need to move us, or make any arrangements. Since they stated we couldn't add one more and we weren't going to make our coworker leave, we asked for the bill for our drinks and salsa. When we did we were meant with such hostility and as we were walking about the manager (lady) commented on we had a lot of nerve to try and pull what we did. Not the best customer service.

However, this time the experience was very different in a really negative way. We arrived around 9pm. Our server took quite some time to greet us. A woman in her 40s-50s with curly black hair arrived. We placed our culinaria order right away. After some time, our entrees arrived before the appetizer. When we asked the server she just said "Oh yeah, the tostadas are coming". We were confused since the whole point is to enjoy the three course meal, but decided to let it slide. The whole time we were eating our food, we had to constantly ask for drink refills. Even though she was just conversing with another server in the middle of the restaurant. Although La Gloria at the Pearl advertises to close at 10pm, we witnessed the workers started to shut down the restaurant at 9:30pm. Turning off lights and turning people away. At that time, we received our mango cheesecake for dessert. Around 9:40, I had finished my cheesecake, however my boyfriend was half way through his. Our server then approached the table. She asked if we were going to order anything else, we said we were not and thanked her. She stood there with the toast tablet in her hands. My boyfriend asked if we could have a receipt. She said "of course", left and came back in a couple of seconds. She then put the receipt on the table and stood there. My boyfriend (who was clearly still eating) said "Thank you, we'll pay in a moment" to which she replied "Oh, it's because we are closed" and did not leave until paid AT 9:40PM. My boyfriend didn't even finish his dessert. We were very upset. She ruined the whole dining experience for us. We just paid and left. I have never had anybody in the food industry be so unprofessional at "closing time". She was not attentive to the table whatsoever, until it was time to pay the bill. For her to proceed to rush us out, even thought another table was still right next to us. With that being said, we are not planning on coming back. Such a shame that a server can ruin the great experience we had the first time.

Pretty much told us to suck it. We definitely overpaid by 50 dollars. Every responsible party showed their receipts/ bank account and that's the kind of stellar customer service this place has. No wonder why the older bald waiter has that attitude. He steals from people and is backed up by their management. Would everything had been ok if they didn't use some scam like QR code? Or the waiter done his job instead of dropping off the tab and not asking a single soul out of a party of 7 to split or not, then this wouldn't even be an issue. Just remember the people the manager dismissed are involved in the legal world, some are teacher and other nurses and trust that we will be vocal about how this place is scamming people without a second thought. Will never be back but as the manager said, no sweat off his back since people will still go and our experience doesn't matter in his eyes.

It's located right on the river, and we chose to sit outside. The weather was beautiful and the view was really nice, which definitely added to the experience. The only downside was the birds -- they were everywhere and made it a little distracting while trying to eat. As for the food, we originally wanted fajitas for one, but that wasn't an option, so we ordered the fajita tacos instead. The fajita meat was excellent , super tender and practically melted in your mouth. The chips and salsa were also very good. Charro beans were amazing! The queso, however, was disappointing. It was very thick, and by the time we started eating it, it had already turned cold and hard. If you go, I'd recommend skipping the queso. I almost left when they brought it out. Glad we stayed. They need to rethink this recipe. Overall: great service, delicious fajita meat, beautiful river view, just be prepared for the birds and maybe pass on the queso.

I don't have a photo but we had ordered nachos with everything but jalapeños and received a small tray (handful) of chips with cheap cheese spread. We had to ask our very young waiter to bring us the sour cream, lettuce and pico de gallo for our nachos. The young male waiter was being a bit pushy about getting us to order more or get dessert. We repeatedly told him we are fine and didn't need anything else. I had a virgin daiquiri that was very very sweet, I could barely drink it. This place is located right on the river walk. I personally would not recommend this place for a meal.
